Have had insurance policy for one year and will not be renewing regardless of price. Problems with several things - Breakdown took too long to arrive that I found someone local to fix the problem as didn't have several hours to wait. Moved address near end of policy so stung with £60 charge for 40 days cover. When I complained I was assured I would receive a favourable renewal quote - nearly double the average policy quotes from most other insurers does not indicate valued customer service to me! Added to these problems the company uses 0844 numbers which means to contact them regarding anything at all (including if I wanted to pay the ridiculous renewal premium) it costs a reasonable amount of money. I cannot verify for definite but have to agree with a previous review that in the last year I have received a vast number of cold calls since taking a policy through BG Insurance. My advice is avoid this company unless you enjoy bad service and talking to telesales personnel.

Gave out my mobile number to several accident claims marketing companies or these companies acquired and gained access to my mobile number. Im receiving several annoying calls each day. Would never insure my car again with this company BG!

Very poor service, doscuments sent not received, no response to emails although acknowlegements sent. Wouldn't recommend or use again

I have no idea how this company gets a decent rating. I have had nothing but trouble with this company, they never follow through with their promises, they constantly request information and forms over and above anything I have been asked for before, they never return any calls when they promise to and dont give you any confidence that they know what their doing. Please take my advice, don't use this company.

Got renewal and got a heaped quote online was same company and did not match my quote manager gave me excuses why he coins not match kept changing his mind about quote saying this and that not professional at all would about all cost not worth the hassle highly would not recommend at all

Don't go anywhere near them. They are not a trustworthy insurance provider. We took out a car insurance with BG on 21st February 15, they are not the cheapest but chose them because of all the good reviews on this pages but missed out the bad one on google reviews , it took them 5 days to send me all related docs by email. It took 19 days for them to send an email asking for required documents and almost two months later they called and wrote, demanding more payment as they said the documents are not met their requirements. They did not called back as they said they would, they ignored my complaint email and all they care about is sending letter demand for payment and threat to cancel the policy. If they behave like this within the initial 14 days, I would have chance to cancel the policy with them without second thought but now I have no choice but fight back – stressful. Avoid them if you can!!!!

Absolutely awful customer service! After purchasing the policy via Go Compare we received calls, emails and letters from BG requesting documents that we had already sent. It took 4 months to get Certificate of Insurance and Policy documents through after numerous phone calls and emails. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

was the worst insurance company ive ever been with,never gave me the right documents the reg was right on the documents but they put the wrong reg down on the system so i got pulled over and i had to go court for no insurance they tryed giving me 6points for no insurance and £700 fine,i struggled getting the right documents from bg after this so i could prove i was insured,but the court finally threw it out,i would defo not recoment them for anyone and im taking bg insurance court when my solicitors get all the information they need.
