We moved house to a safer location and they charged £55 to change the address and threatened to cancel the insurance if I didn’t pay. Shameful to charge £55 for a one minute job. I won’t use them again, stay clear.

BG Insurance lost me £77,000.00 by telling me the tracker I had on my Range Rover was “fine” and “not a problem” they then immediately took full payment, 9 months later my car is stolen and the underwriter refuses to pay, due to the wrong tracker! BG Insurance take no responsibility even though it is all on a recording.. absolutely devastated

I had insurance with them for a year, but I was deeply disappointed when I said that I did not want to renew my insurance policy and they did not accept the previous year of no claim bonus and gave me only one year of no claim bonus instead of two. I do not recommend, run away from them, they are very bad and plus I hang up your phone if you call them more often with the same problem.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO DUE TO THE INFURASTING SERVICE OF THIS SO CALLED "COMAPNY". ANY TIME I DO MANAGE TO GET HOLD OF THESE USLESS PEOPLE THEY HIT ME WITH EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE...BEEN TOLD THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME 5+ TIMES WHAT THEY NEVER HAVE ! DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 1 year with them, i negotiate my monthly payment which they agreed ro make it little bit less than last year,everything was good but they keep to charge me like last year.

Insurance don’t go on the database straight away, 5 working days later and I’m still not on. I’ve been pulled over by the police 4 times already, I show them my policy and they let me go but it’s still a headache and hassle and delay I don’t need!

Avoid completely, they sent an email about renewal , which was found on spam after my policy was ended. When I try to call them, to arrange the payment for the second year, they say the policy will cost 3 times more than the renewal price, because I didn't contact them before my policy will finish. If you are a serious company why you can try to look after your clients and to be sure the clients received the renewal email or just to call them. Scammers, avoid them completely!

Forced to help a relative who does not have access to a computer by printing off his documents. This company would not send him any paperwork despite the fact I note that as a loyal customer he is paying nearly 4 times the price for his car insurance because he does not use comparison sites.

Avoid. I have had loads of trouble with this company after insuring my campvan with them. I asked on a number of occasions by phone and email to email me my documents as I never recieved them only a certificate with my name spelt incorrect. After 2 months of nothing they have now simply canceled my policy losing all my money. As they state I did not complete the return form on the email they never sent. What a waste of time. Not interested in helping out. After I challenge them to show me when my documents were sent they simply stated they do not retain emails for longer then 10 days! Hahah insane. Yes they are cheap but there's a reason for it. AVOID!

Awful customer service. Ineffective at communication with their customers. Issued me with a cancelled policy despite me providing all the documentation required and despite me requesting my policy be cancelled prior to them issuing a 'cancelled insurance' letter. Such ineffective communication that they won't respond to my e-mails or give me a clear answer on the phone what my refund amount is. AVOID and use Adrian flux for motor insurance instead... fantastic customer service, easy to use online portal and effective communication.

Never use this company cancelled my policy for a spent conviction and saying a did not declare a cancellation when done online, never made me aware my insurance had been cancelled and it could have resulted in me driving without insurance without my knowledge. My insurance is now sky high. 16 years driving experience and I have never claimed . When asked for my deposit back they said nothing was due even tho they themselves had broke the contract. Save your money guys and go to someone with good reviews not a two bit company who is just after your money.

Apparently had a refund for last year, due to not working because of Covid, but only after I complained to the insurer. They could not be bothered to inform me of this. Changed address cost of £66. So I was going to cancel my £287 policy, which I have had for 4 months. And they offered me £103 for the remaining 8 months. So I have had to pay the £66. Scandalous. I will be driving for at least the next 25 years. But not insured with BG Insurance that works out to be thousands of pounds. Good business head from BG Insurance. As a driving instructor I used to recommend Barry Grainger driving insurance. Guess what 🤣😂🤣

It's a scam, they rip you off. Charged my with a £300 fee without telling me and when I complained and left them when my insurance expired they refused to give out my NCD letter for the bonus I earned fair and square. I paid my policy off and never missed a payment. They told me about this fee days before the renewal to make sure I will stay with them and don't change providers. Dishonest, arrogant people with the worst customer service I have ever seen. Avoid them at any price.

Scammed me, took payments without providing any service refuse to provide contacts or complaint procedures, trying to make contact they circle you in a call centre and then remove your no claims if you instruct bank to block them. few other threats were made remains to be seen as this only happened the week before last.

I took out a policy and noticed their corresponding emails went straight into my spam immediately. This was lucky that I noticed as what happened later could have had serious repercussions. The email I received required documents from myself such as proof of No Claims Bonus. I replied back this customer service representative the following day with documents, which I had another email a week later from another member of staff stating they still hadn't received them. They had clearly lost them so I sent them again and expressed my confusion. I recently had a phone call requesting the documents. This phone call was pretty brief, but the lady just give me another email address to send them to, and that was the end of the call. Nothing more said. When I returned from work a few hours later, I send the documents again. To my shock there is an email in spam from earlier that day stating they had CANCELLED my policy. Let me remind you that THEY LOST THE DOCUMENTS and there was no warning over during the phone call at all. Luckily I checked my spam inbox again as I wouldn't have been insured due to no error of my own. I called them and the representative had no clue of the severity of the issue. I have since paid more for another policy and still awaiting a refund from these thieves.

Just bought insurance through them and they came back with issues of NCD and want to increase my premium by another £60. On their own site, a new premium quoted same. Also, they want to charge £55 for cancellation with the first 14 days which they call it as cooling off period in the name of admin fee. insurance companies should be regulated further so that they stop ripping off customers.

I insured a self converted campervan,...Which the compare site looked favorable. I have 10 years minimum NCD,..And they asked, Yea but experiance of driving a Motorhome ,...Told them I had caravans,. in the past ...Nothing!! I have driven and licenced to drive Double Decker buses..and coaches!! I have the Advanced Driving Certificate!! ,.....But No,...Did not listen Just increased my premium.. Pathetic,....Would not know a safe driver if hit them in the face.

They are con men. They take your money and then concoct a reason to cancel so they can collect the admin fees. not to be trusted. I got a letter today saying they were cancelling because they didn't have my licence check code, annual mileage and reason for a previous policy cancellation (change of job because I work for agencies and go where they send me). All three were provided at the point of sale and repeated the weekend before last when they said they didn't have them. You don't have to be a genius to work out that they'd never have offered me the policy without this data in the first place. Don't trust them.
