“The lady I spoke to to renew my policy was bordering on rude. I didn’t fully understand her questions and the line wasn’t the best so I asked her to repeat a few times. The tone of her voice suggested to me that she could have done without this. The quote I was given was the best quote so I was happy to renew, if it had been close to another quote I think I would have moved providers.”
“Can not open my on line document's because they were created in new flash software, and they wasn't going to send it me as Microsoft word document, or PDF document.”
“As usual great staff when buying the insurance and definately beat the rest in price but dont get if there is a chance you may need to cancel before exiry date. Had to pay two lots of cancellation fees one from the insurance company and one from the broker. Expected about £80 back got £28 !!”
“I always buy my insurance online as i dont have the time to be on the phone for half an hour going through my details, However after i bought the insurance they ring you and go through it all again, which is very boring as they are just reading pages and pages of stuff you have just read. I was then told they will email me details of how to do a licence check code and where to send my no claims.. i didnt get any email until 2 weeks later when they demand my documents or they will cancel my policy, I sent all document and codes and a week later they are asking for them again !!! ive been on and off the phone with them which is a pain and im sick of sending them stuff. No other insurance has been this bad, i will not be renewing with them.”
“When we called we couldn't have the insurer that was suggested but b and g found another insurer but at nearly twice the price not entirely over the moon but I'm insured, happy days.”
“I went to Go Compare as I received an email from Nectar saying that I would get Nectar points for doing so! Not sure if this has actually gone through though?
On the Go Compare site, BG insurance was a very good policy for me and was a very competitive price - always good!
I filled in their form online to give all my relevant details - pretty straight forward. And paid.
I thought that bit was done, however got a call within the next day or two and had to answer all those exact same questions again over the phone - this was frustrating as I had provided all that information online already, and this phone call took around half an hour. I have two very young children, and phone calls are not at all easy to take, so half an hour was horrendous! The girl was however very nice. She told me which documents i would need to provide and that it would come in the mail also telling me again what I needed to provide - great.
Documents received within a few days and were fine.
Had to call the BG phone number for the check my license details as I realised I had to change my name on my license to match my insurance, so would therefore not be able to get my code for her within the stated 7 days. Megan was kindof helpful by giving me the DVLAs phone number in order to get this code. DVLA has an automated service so after half an hour I couldn't actually speak to anyone there to get the code. Had to call Megan back, by this time I was not very happy (a good 40 min of phone calls). Asked to speak to the manager and get an extensions to get my documents back in time. Manager very accommodating.
Got that all sorted, sent in and emailed all documents and codes and then 2-3 weeks later get another letter saying that I havnt sent everything in. Not that happy now. Called again and told that I needed to provide a code for my husbands license as well. Also my proof of address from my previous car insurer was not adequate.
Could all have been a bit easier.
