“The App won’t let me upload the requested information. I was told I would receive an email when the app was working, that was on the 10th and it’s now the 15th. I only have a limited amount of time to upload the information. No support except an online chat. Not a great experience, very quick to take money from you though.”

“App is fine, does mark you down for ‘smoothness’ if you get stuck in traffic. Love the rewards, can’t complain at free e cards. Had to ask about adding my no claims got on live chat, small wait but person sorted it while on chat”

“Price slightly cheaper than competitors however daughter loses points for driving to work at 4.30am. Goes from 10/10 to 5.5/10 so loses her rewards. The driver login page shows all journeys and rates them so you can keep a check on how your driving. If you drive well you can earn rewards for high street shops, restaurants etc. Black box was fitted without problems however carrot didn’t have evidence of this so sent warning of cancellation notice even-tough the black box was registering my driving and earning me rewards. I also had to send my driving licence twice because it hadn’t been registered the first time I sent it! Overall a little allover the place but it was down to price and a bonus to earn rewards when not driving to work!”

“The app never works. I have to sit in my car for 5 minutes waiting for it to connect. I can’t use the app with my radio off. The customer service takes hours to get through to.”

Hi Saskia, Thank you for getting touch. Did you know that your are meant to leave the app running at all times with your Bluetooth and location services always on? If you are doing this and you are still having issues, please get in touch with us on our Live Chat service. Mondays are our busiest day so will have longer wait times.

“Carrot Insurance is so straight forward, the postage of the Wingman device was fast and it was simple to set up. Would definitely recommend this insurer to anyone, not just first time drivers! The live chat is also a great way to resolve problems quickly and easily.”

“Carrot insurance wasn't my first insurance provider, but it has definitely been my best. The reward system is great and encourages safe and efficient driving. Online customer service has been fast and helpful unlike other insurers who rely on an expensive phone service.”
