When declaring a claim, mine took a months for them to process and having to still pay the insurance monthly without the car

Emails and letters sent telling me I hadn’t paired my app to the wingman when I had caused me stress especially when the sanction is to have the policy cancelled. I have had issues with the wingman suggesting I have completed journeys even though I have just been walking around my house.

Chose this company because they are one of the cheapest car insurance companies for young people, but will not be renewing. Since downloading the app and linking with my car via Bluetooth, only a very small percentage of journeys have been accurate. The mileage is always incorrect, and the usage is always incorrect because it does not recognise that my journey has ended (by turning the ignition off) so has recorded up to an 11 hour journey for a 25 minute journey. I have contacted Carrot via live chat a few times now, and am repeatedly told that the journeys are being looked into but, looking at other reviews, the issues are never resolved. I do not appreciate the lack of phone number to be able to contact Carrot, as it can be difficult to get your point across via online messaging. Very dissatisfied and am considering paying the get-out fee, in order to save me the stress of continuing with this insurance.

Very good for young drivers. Good communication between the app and the user. Very accurate. Could be better if the communication between the business and the customer was a lot more quicker rather than talking through the web chat only.

I’m a new driver, I’ve explained multiple times I’m a carer and work shifts and very unsociable hours and being on call can be late at night. My usage has gone down massively for every journey I can take, and nothing has been resolved. Personally black boxes shouldn’t be based on usage I can’t help that my work hours are the way the are and I’m required to do a lot of driving, speed and smoothness yes 100% but usage no.

Cheap insurance for new drivers with an easy app to download and use instead of a black box, perfect for me. I did have issues connecting the app to my car however, customer services were very helpful and resolved it quickly.

Really easy app to download and use so there was no need to wait in for black box fitting which was perfect for me. I had an issue with connecting to be app to my car however, the customer service was very helpful and resolve this issue quickly.

An absolutely awful company, avoid at all costs. I went with it because I'm a student and it was the cheapest for me. If during your cover anything goes wrong, then you will absolutely regret taking out the cover in the first place and it will end up costing you more than if you would have gone with a decent company in the first place.

Customer service is always great, easy to use the live chat and the staff are very helpful. Great price for insurnace been with this company for a year and had no issues. Plus the rewards system with the black box is great!

The only way to contact carrot is via their live chat service, and whilst the people you speak to are very quick and helpful, the fact that this is the only contact can be a frustration. Especially when on all communications there are still phone numbers and email address’ that are being listed. There have also been numerous problems with the carrot ‘wingman’, their version of a black box. I’m on my third replacement and already it is not recording all my journeys, and I only received this one at the start of the week.

Hi there. the Wingman is a Bluetooth receiver and doesn't record any journey's itself. Journey's are recorded by the app on the phone. Please get in touch with us via the Live Chat on our website and we can go through some trouble shooting to get this app working for you.

customer service is great but i don't appreciate how i can get an email but cant resend emails because they don't exist or telephone because it is a claims line only.
