“Good price for 1st time young driver. Clear app to see black box information. Only downside is being marked down for short journeys which I do regulalay as I only travel 4 miles to work every day”

“I like the i box deal. It would be 5 stars BUT, the usage is so bad, you get a car for long journeys and I don't see how you can be marked down for doing long journeys, fair enough if you're driving like a manic! But my speed and smoothness is 10/10 most of the time. Its the usage letting me down!”

“Carrot was very reasonable and the staff helpful, the black box is another story in it self, it isn't accurate and I think unfair for the youngster, my sons one didn't work to start with and no one notified us until I queried why I couldn't find any information from it, also he uses the car every day on a 20 min journey each way and it says for usage it isn't enough! also when I have been in the car with him he's not gone fast but it's registered he's gone over the limit when he hasn't! I agree with these but think they need to be updated like a tracker. I would definitely recommend using Carrot to other youngsters though.”

“Is a good company and cheapest out there but the box I have had installed has glitches. I've driven just 10 miles down a 30 and apparently I was doing 95? And apparently driven for 12 hours this has affected my score big time and now in negatives”

“Their service has been helpful and they tend to reply quick to queries. They have been clear with any information that I asked of them. The reward card scheme is motivating for better driving. However, they've been really inaccurate with my score and have altered it without me driving. It just so happens that my score increased the day after my first quarter and I hadn't even driven.”

“Cheapest insurance by far and always helpful on the phone. Black box isn't that accurate, some journeys it doesn't register a stopping break.”

“I have just received my first reward quarter for £76 for the 16th December I didn't receive this till 6th January which isn't stated however overall satisfied with my car insurance company and the rewards. I personally doesn't think the black box is accurate because it doesn't show some of my journeys on the app and it's impossible to get more than 2.08 on the usage of your vechile.”

“Carrot is the cheapest insurance, however I am unhappy with my black box. It makes me anxious and on edge and I beleieve it's extra un needed pressure for a new driver .”

“Carrot was the cheapest by far but the black box isn't accurate, as it said that I performed a 17 hour journey without stopping, despite my car being parked for the entire time. This massively affected my score and reduced my rewards despite me not driving at this time”

“They're easy to contact by phone and email. The best thing about the insurance is the app telling you how you've been driving and what rewards you can receive. It keeps track on how many miles you've done which is super helpful too. My first quarter I received £60 back and it arrived so quick considering it was over the Christmas period that the first quarter ended. Very impressed.”
