I love their free call customer service and insurance price especially in my area, close to central london, they offered me the cheapest price compared to others. I'm getting my insurance renewed in June and its going to be cheaper so I am all smiles.

The black box provided is a brilliant incentive for me to drive well as I can keep track of my score on my phone. Overall seems a brilliant company and reasonably priced

This company is very good for the first year driving when looking for low insurance premiums. Great benefits are included such as cash rewards and a discount on your renewal however you will find that that first initial premium has many hidden charges such as purchase of extra miles, transfer of insurance, and admin fees which are very heavily priced. The black box is still a new technology but when I have checked scores I have often been done for speeding when I have been doing the limit and the mileage used on my dashboard does not tally with my actual real life miles. In my personal opinion there is no use for the black box, it is just a marketing strategy to get young drivers to 'think' they're getting a cheaper deal. In summary they are great value for money if you're wanting to get on the road quickly at a young age.

Not as bad as you think !! You forget the black box is there most of the time. Don't see what the issue is :)

Overall not bad. But was charged £35x2 when I updated my details in a time period very close to each, not impressed.

Wasn't looking forward to insuring my car as it was very expensive. Carrot was the cheapest and the reward box has made me drive very well. Would recommend to everyone as there are no penalties. Very impressed!

Choosing carrott was not only a cheaper option by approximately £500 but the black box has made me very concious of my driving score. Whilst some people may be put off by the black box you can monitor your score using their app and can earn cash rewards. Unlike other loyalty cards this card is effectively a mastercard which can be used in a number of high street stores and for petrol etc. The only negative I would say is that the 'smoothness' rating on the app seems to not understand the difference between 'jolty' driving and being stuck in traffic. I would recommend this to anyone, especially new drivers I have had this insurance for just over 6 months and am on course to earn £40 this quarter after receiving £39 in cash rewards previously.

Carrot is always so easy to get in touch with, no waiting around on the phone, I usually Facebook them with any query and they get back to me very quickly. They provide the cheapest quote by far and excellent customer service representatives 5*

Very good insurance company with a very good rewards system. Have begun to notice that sometimes registers a bad driving score in areas where you drive to the limits e.g country roads. However, a very good company.

Generally quite good insurance - my only issue is that we had some incorrect statistics recorded on the app, which impacted the overall driving score and ultimately the renewal discount and cash reward for the quarter. I telephoned Carrot and advised this - no-one got back to me to advise what had been done or if the information had been rectified. You can't offer a service like this if you're not going to accept that there will be times when it makes mistakes and 'human' intervention is required. Hence, upon renewal, we'll be going for a policy without the 'black box'......
