“Quick and easy live chat service for anything you need, guaranteed to get help for any query you have. I was able to get a quote to top up my miles at my desk at work without taking time out to phone. Very friendly staff. Everyone I've spoken to has been friendly and polite and always goes the extra mile. I've only been with carrot one year and wish to stay with them as long as possible! They're the best insurer for new drivers.”

“Only having a live chat available for customer service is a real downfall as it’s easier over a call however the staff are very friendly and helpful when you are speaking with them on the call”

“A lot of people prefer to try yak to someone/ an agent through phone as it can be easier to understand a conversation and can be easier to follow direction and help if needed, overall the service is good and most staff are helpful and polite”

“They are easy to talk to and try to help as much as possible. Good service. The only thing that I’d say is if you drive someone else’s car and need a black box then it records all journeys made in the car. This isn’t great for me because I drive my mums car which means all her journeys are recorded and scored too which uses my miles more.”

“Cancelled my insurance when scores clearly show sign of improvement. Didn’t care for me at all I paid yearly and they had there money no customer service whatsoever. To speak to someone over the phone you have to request a call back. Smoothness scores on the black box don’t make any sense. On my way home from work I made 2 turns both times I waited to go and set off in 1st gear , got home and my score was -2.5??? Wouldn’t recommend and would say even if other ones are more expensive you pay for the service I went with these simply for the price and that was my mistake. Avoid them!!”

“They have been so understanding in the middle of the pandemic and I love the point point scheme as well such a good incentive to make drivers more aware of their behaviour on the road.”

“Carrot were my cheapest quote, and at first it made me skeptical as I hadn't heard of them before, but so far my experience has ben nothing but pleasant, would recommend them to others especially young drivers looking for blackbox insurance.”

“Great company for first time drivers cheapest by far only criticism is when they text you to tell you your drive score is low they should be advising why ? Give us the chance to correct it”

“I wouldn’t even give carrot a 1 star review if I had the option. I recently moved to Kendal from Wales. They are unable to continue insuring me as according to their system my new address is too high of a risk. Which is completely ridiculous as Kendal has some of the lowest crime rates in the country. Due to this I have lost out on a lot of funds, am being left highly stressed during this pandemic and am very unsatisfied with the company.”

“Carrot insurance are very helpful and easy when setting up insurance. The online chat they have always have staff that are very helpful and nice and they always manage to solve my issue quickly. The price for my insurance is very good and was cheaper than any other insurance company I looked at and I would highly recommend them to a friend especially other young drivers like myself.”
