Customer service on the live chat, although around a 20 minute wait, had resolved my issues quickly once someone was available. All service advisors I spoke to were really friendly too. If it was for customer service alone I’d of given 5 stars but have given 3 due to the app. I don’t think it’s very accurate I had consecutive weeks of negative scores but I know I’m a very safe driver so this is quite frustrating as you get penalised for it.

The insurance is good when they give you rewards for driving. However my wingman hasn’t been working for about a month now tried to call customer services could never get through to anyone. Spoke to someone on live chat and they said my new one should arrive shortly, still waiting! However, My insurance is much cheaper with carrot.

Customer service always very helpful and very accommodating. Had a few problems with the wingman after having my baby and these were solved and followed up with a lovely bunch of flowers in the post!

Customer service advisors aren’t really interested! My daughters black box is recording journeys she hasn’t even been on but trying to get hold of someone is impossible

Customer service is good - the live chat is a really great feature. The app is easy to use & the rewards are great. The only downside is that the box isn’t very accurate with the scores. All of my scores are also 1 hour out - this has happened in the past and been resolved but affects my score.

I have really struggled getting used to the scoring of the app. For longer journeys I have been scoring at a -9.0 despite sticking to the speed limit and a 7.7 for my smoothness despite being on a straight road for the majority of the journey. Yet for shorter journeys I have scored 10/10. I am just concerned that it isn't monitoring my journeys correctly and it will affect my policy. Overall, it isn't as good as I would have liked.

Price and customer service are both exceptional but trying to contact carrot for a renewal price even with live chat is painfully slow, waiting at least 1/2 hour to get a response and if you miss the response you go back to the end of the queue.

Love the app, really easy to use and the reward scheme is great! Good customer service, every time I’ve had a problem it has been resolved quickly and without hassle.

Some customer service representatives are helpful some seem like they cannot be bothered, also find it’s silly how it’s only an online chat now when sometimes you do need to speak to someone to explain your problem fully.

I am new to using this insurer and I have found it mostly helpful and straightforward. For a new driver all my queries have been answered efficiently and professionally via the online chat and there have been no problems. However, regarding getting in contact, when I tried to call only 2 options are given and then further options are very limited regarding what you want to talk about. The options do not always fit the automated ones which caused me confusion many times and I would have preferred to have spoken to someone over the phone to get a more accurate and straight answer. Other than this, customer service I have received has been good and I have not had to wait long to get through to someone via the chat.

Policy as a whole is good just been very unfortunate with the wingman device as it doesn’t disconnect when you leave your car. I have found that it seems to track me going around work or supermarkets and other places I am. Once through to staff on the online chat they seem to be very understanding and helpful only once had an ignorant staff member who was not willing to try and help.

Generally cheap, good insurance, however, communicating with an agent is difficult with the online chat service. Other than the chat service and lack of mobile communications, I have yet to have any issues with carrot.

Amazing prices in comparison to other companies for young drivers. When I first joined the customer service was a little frustrating, but has improved since.

I found carrot insurance to be a cheap option as I am a new driver and this can usually be quite expensive. However, I feel the description of each policy I.e. new driver and better driver need to be better as I was put under the better driver policy as I have had my license for 2 years even though I’ve had NO experience driving which the company state is needed to be under this one. Although the better driver is fine to use, it caused a lot of confusion for a new driver like myself. I also agree that communication needs to be improved. When you call it gives 2 options, 1. Make a claim 2. Installation of black box However, if you need neither of these then this is not useful and using the live chat can be hard as what I may have needed to talk about does not come as an option when the automated message appears when you begin.
