I have just received my first reward quarter for £76 for the 16th December I didn't receive this till 6th January which isn't stated however overall satisfied with my car insurance company and the rewards. I personally doesn't think the black box is accurate because it doesn't show some of my journeys on the app and it's impossible to get more than 2.08 on the usage of your vechile.

Carrot was the cheapest by far but the black box isn't accurate, as it said that I performed a 17 hour journey without stopping, despite my car being parked for the entire time. This massively affected my score and reduced my rewards despite me not driving at this time

Well Carrot insurance isn't good as such with poor customer service and long waiting times just to get through to sort out the most basic or difficult problems, the card scheme where you get money for how well you drive is very good, this should be done with more companies and is a key factor for Carrot what makes them so different.

Initial feedback for quote to price to putting cover live was very good, then sending proof in and several emails later eventually finding the documents I had already sent the first time meant lots of my own wasted time which was at the end getting tedious and annoying. Waiting time to get through on phone is too long. Other than that I think the price is good compared to alternatives. The I box fitting service should be better, arranged and was confirmed morning fitting, I chased after lunchtime and eventually the fitter turned up around 2pm, again a wasted day.....all of this costs me money.......

The problem is u can't use your car for 3 journey a day otherwise your using marks will be below 0 frustrating...ohhh customer services making me sick waiting more than 40 min was driving from Luton to London I reached there but my phone still on hold hahah

Fairly reasonable insurance quote for someone my age i havent had any problems getting through as of yet seems to be goin well. Very handy app +!

Even though £2900 is expensive for car insurance, carrot was the cheapest compared to others. The customer service was great, they had called to book an appointment for black box and it was a smooth process

carrot has a good interface with decent rates however the usage and smoothness scores are horrendous and constant emails notifying you that your policy will be cancelled 6 months in as they lack certain documents

Good that I'm able to monitor my driving but still waiting to receive my rewards card so cannot benefit from being a good driver

Some money back, insanely high insurance, inaccurate results on usage. complicated phoning procedure

Easy to get insured on, money back for good driving is good.. The only problems i had is when it came to fitting my black box they said they couldn't do it because of the stripe down my car. The installer refused to install the box even though i had paper proof from my cars manufacturer that the stripe was standard and that it came out the factory with it. i received an email two days later that they was going to terminate my cover, after an hour of being on hold and after a heated conversation they accepted the stripe as a modification and disregarded the letter from the manufacturer.. meaning next year my insurance with them will be higher... If you have a decal that came with the car when it was built stay away from Carrot as they wont care and will class it as you modifying the car.. :/

The process has been marred with faulty box, huge delay in getting it installed, it didn't work, had to be replaced and still records trips when the car is not actually moving! Other than that all good.

I am 18 and have not long past my test and carrot was the cheapest even though it's still costing me a fortune.. I had the back box put on and when they came to fit it they said they couldn't because my windows were tinted so they left and carrot got inTouch with me said if I remove all tints and send pics in with them removed they will make another appointment for box to be refitted which I didn't understand what the tint had to do with my driving it's a joke but I removed it anyways as I needed the insurance as I had already paid nearly 600 pound deposit just hope after all this my monthly payments will drop a considerable amount

Black box didnt work, new one was installed 3 months later. When the black box guy arrived he put a screw in the wrong place which stopped my car from coming on. All is now good. But customer service are not very helpful at all.

Black Box took a long time to install, and then didn't work, and then took another age to put another one in. The Black box reads Journeys that were not taken, Customer Services don't really no how to respond to the issue. Overall it's good.
