Carrot is a good insurer for a young driver, the rewards program is a good incentive to make drivers drive more considerate and carefully; however the black box system is a bit vague on the iOS app and can seem flawed on some occasions, the phone line isn't a 24hour service and you need to prepared to wait at least 20 minutes in order to get to customer service, the customer service is sloppy at times and in general the services carrot provide are great but some reform is needed.

Very average company carrot card is good but too ages to come though but not a bad company the app is useful

Nice friendly service, but hold time is far to long and when I got my box installed there was no communication on when they would be with me even though they said I would get a a text the day before. Also it was confusing when they left me a voicemail saying that they needed to talk to me and when I rang back after half an hour on hold they said that they said they didn't need me

One of the best deals I found and they don't have curfews like a lot of the others. However I found the customer service with the black box company to be quite poor

Original set up was easy and relatively quick. Also, I have found the app to be very helpful. However, there is never enough customer service people around to deal with the capacity of callers. For example, I have called 3 times and every time I have been on hold for longer than 15 minutes.

The cost for insurance is cheap so it's therefore it's brilliant for most people but the customer service isn't too high standard mainly the waiting time to get through to customer service. I once waited for about 25 mins so I just hang up.

First time insurance so wasnt sure what to expect, was simple enough to set up how being penalised for 'usage' when making more than 2 joirneys a day isnt great and im sure my score actually went down randomly the other day but i can live with that. Just wish they offered business cover as i cant claim any expenses when driving to client visits...

The staff I have been in contact with have been helpful and friendly. I was messed about a bit at the start regarding my black box as what they were saying wasn't clear. The black box has been wrong for me a couple of times. It said I had done a 10 hour journey (when I hadn't) so therefore gave me a -4.00 on usage.

Carrot insurance itself is fine, it's expensive, but for young drivers they all are. The site is easy to use and the app is User-friendly. Communications are what let it down. I arranged for my black box to be fitted and I waited in the whole day and no one came; I did not receive a phonecall. However, I rearranged and .that was fine. I think the driving scores are pretty good apart from the 'usage' rating. Overall it's decent, but just let down by the customer service side.

Carrot is good for it's price. For a young driver who got mugged off by other insurance providers carrot has been the best. It lets me monitor my driving quickly through an app on my iPhone and they were the cheapest I could find. However, the waiting times to get through to their customer service team has been over 40 minutes each time. This is not great.

Carrots is the cheapest price wise The rating driving is not fair. You are punished severely if you drive badly on one occasion but if you drive safely on a daily basis it take forever to gain a good overall score. Sometimes the reading of the telematics box is not correct especially if you are in traffic on the motorway :(

Carrot is a not bad insurer for young drivers. Received my cash rewards as soon as my 1st quarter finished. Only down fall is not being able to drive after 11pm or it puts your score down a lot

Carrot were fast and efficient. I got my car and was ready to be on the road and they helped make that possible fast! They are ever so slightly pricey but hey, I was a young driver at the time so not too fussed with that.
