Left us on hold for an hour, then cut us off twice, then when they finally did answer said someone would call back! They can’t solve anything online or on the chat, only when they deem it convenient to call you!
The cover we took out was not fit for purpose as they did not record our vehicle correctly and then wanted about her £300 ! On cancellation they have decided we owe another £148 on top for the £60 we paid them for just 6 weeks cover!”
“Absolutely shocking 'service' from this 'company', took out van insurance over 2 weeks ago via Compare the Market whereby these con artists took full payment yet I have just discovered that my van isn't even insured!!!!
I have tried to chase policy documents and received an email saying I would be contacted to validate the insurance but nobody has done so since taking out the insurance over 2 weeks ago, yet they were quick enough to take my money.
I have called on numerous occasions now only to be told the same old story that 'someone will call me right back' 'I will get someone to send over the documents right away'. Emailed and no response. I can't believe this so called company is allowed to operate, it's absolutely disgusting they are able to take your money without providing the service outlined.
I'm now left with no van forever waiting on a call back that never materialises. They state they are regulated by the financial conduct authority but that's probably another lie. I will be taking this to trading standards.”

“A absolute joke of a so call company. I have a small buisness which unfortunately after 8 year I had to make a claim. After making a claim my insurance was cancelled even after a girl told me this wouldn't happen.
After a huge number of calls trying to sort this it was reactivated for 2 days to be then cancelled yet again.
To get a new quote that were 3x my previous quote.
I ended up sorting my own insurance something I was told I couldn't do 🙄
Avoid at all costs especially for buisness insurance. They are totally the worst broker I have had the unfortunate experience with.”
“Harassing - took out a quote and they've since called me about twice a day. Even when I blocked the numbers they leave voicemails but its just them breathing down the phone or silence. Have had to send a GDPR request to get them to stop harassing me”

“Cancellation charges are horrendous. I was told 70 quid over the phone to cancel, which is expensive anyway, a week later, I get a letter through the post demanding 218 quid for cancelling my policy. I would highly avoid them.”

Was told by them if the vehicle had been impounded it would have been MY FAULT and my responsibility to pay the bill to get it back despite it being their failure to provide documentation and update MID. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!”

“Absolutely awful company!! Someone hit my van, phoned construct a quote said they'd send me a claim form, three weeks later nothing! Phoned to chase, was put through to the insurer then just cut off. This happened twice. Finally got through and was told to contact the third party insurers myself!! Or, they could process the claim but I would have to pay my excess and they would 'try' to claim it back. I have NO faith in this company to even bother after my experience so far. If you are thinking of using Construct a Quote or the supposed insurer MarkerStudy then I would STRONGLY recommend you don't. My Personal experience....I have paid £600 to be told to do it myself! NEVER have I experience this from an insurer. They won't be getting my renewal. Abysmal!!!”
