“Been with "diamond" insurance for under a year. Price was great to start with. I enquired about change of address recently as considered moving in with my partner and price came back a lot higher than I expected. I didn't accept the change of address and the bloke (on web chat) duped me into this change and expected it on my behalf! Luckily my partner is clued up and challenged this.
Ladies Keep Well AWAY as these lot will empty your bank!! Use a reputable insurance company.”
“the 1st policy I had with this company I cancelled. They wanted me to use a gadget showing how I drive and how fast. At the time I couldn't drive due to a leg injury but they didn;'t seem to understand this and wanted to charge me for not using the gadget. In the end I cancelled the policy but took out a different one with the same company.”
“I had an accident in August 2016 where a lorry decided to roll into me! Diamond were fairly quick at getting my car fixed and courtesy car sent out to me... and they were quick to take my £350 excess, however that didn't come back until Feb 2017!!! It took months for them to just pass my claim to a case handler as they were "backed up" with so many claims!! I kept hounding them with emails and phone calls and all I got was some snotty girl saying "it was your choice to take it out of your savings account so we won't be paying you interest losses".... thanks!

“Three drivers (mom, dad and daughter) and two cars on one policy. Daughter had a provisional driving license and as a result the premium was quite high. When daughter passed her driving test Diamond asked for additional £96 premium due to the extra risk of insuring someone who has a full UK driving license as opposed to just a provisional one. Not fair! Noticed some chips and scratches in the paintwork on the bonnet of one car and decided to get a clear plastic wrap professionally fitted at own cost to protect the paint from further damage. Diamond then saw an opportunity to charge an extra £30 insurance premium because of this "cosmetic" alteration to the car. Seems like they only want to insure bad drivers who care nothing for their cars. We've not yet claimed on this policy yet, so don't know how competent they are in that regard, but don't expect much. Avoid.”
“They will get out of insuring you if you have an accident regardless of fault! I have been through there full complaints process and they still haven't fully resolved my problem so I am looking to the FOS for help! Avoid them!”
