“avoid these people..took out a policy with them a few days ago ,wasnt sure of my n.c.b. at the time due to previous company ,i put threw 4 years just incase that was the lowest it could be 370 was quoted online, ,i called them and explained i can confirm i now have 7 years ncb, they explained if i send in the proff all will be sorted and put back on my card ,( 50 pounds diff) , when i called again next day to process this ,the girl on fone said they have updated my ncb to 7 years but there is no change in money to come back to me...sorry i said no diff between 3 years and 7 years, but online i works out at 50 pounds diff , she diddnt agree,told me that was a dec they had made and nothing i could do about it, when i asked to speak to a decision maker about she put me on hold for 25 mins , ....i gave up. no diff between 3 years and 7 years ncb in the amount you pay!!! do they think people are stupid.im about to cancell policy and go with another company , best avoid them”
“Very very expensive! No personal problems with them as I never needed to make a claim (hence the 2 stars instead of 1) Very good at first very cheap and fair, however when I called a year later as I had moved address my quote had nearly doubled! The girl (and I mean girl) on the phone said it was because of the area I moved to! What double the monthly payment just because I moved a few miles?? pull the other one! Another year later I was expected a cheaper quote due to my age and no claims bonus but no, they had put the price up again for no reason! I went on compare the market.com and the quotes I received were less than half what I'm paying! Showed them the door! Don't use they rip you off with no explanation then when I called I've wasted 10 minutes of my contract listening to some message about credit ratings and direct debits! Urgh avoid avoid avoid!”
“Wouldnot use again would rather pay extra to insure policy was there and that funds were being taken on the day arranged. This did not happen received threatening emails regarding my no claims document which I had already sent. Additionally I had arranged for my direct debit to be taken out on a set day which it didn't when I called to query this was poor service and a hassle to change which inevitably caused me to pay the lot because I no longer trusted that payments would be made. Appalling and time consuming found it extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone and when I did they did not fill me with confidence.”
“Was with this company then bought my own house 5 minutes away from parents house where I lived previously I had been with them for 4 months and my insurance was £600 for the year I phone to change address and get told they want an additional £700 which I had to pay on the day I couldn't pay monthly. So.i had to pay £50 cancellation fee as I obviously didn't have a spare £700. I then asked if I could just park the csr at my parents house then as it is literally around the corner which I was told no the insurance is for you it doesn't matter where you park the car. Which just shows what your dealing with”
“Poor customer service, they said my policy documents had been returned by royal mail undelivered, so they said I had to send them multiple forms of identification to prove who I was, sent them photocopies of utility bills and driving licence, they then demanded I send them copies of my bank statements, told them I wasn't willing to do that, this went on for weeks, took them newly 3 months for them to send my policy documents, wish I had spent the twenty quid extra to get a policy off a proper insurer, can't wait till May so I can change to another insurer, hoping I never need to make a claim on this policy as I don't want to have to deal with the very poor customer service offered by this company”

“A car bumped mine Dec 2014, wasn't informed about claiming something as an uninsured loss, this information was given to me by the other party insurance, even when I phoned octogan back enquiring they still denied it. Compensation claim still going on with their legal side , no I would not recommend them at all either them or the legal lot. Wont make that mistake ever again.”
