Don't assume the cheapest price on comparison websites is the best. Wished I never used them, steer well clear

The Portal is the main method of communication We were told that an email is sent out asking us to log in to the portal No email received and we were then charged for something we didn't need because we did not respond within 7 days Ages on the phone waiting for a customer service rep who ignored the fact that no email was received. How many people look at there Insurance portal everyday to check for messages. Maybe a review of communicating with customers is overdue

Terrible experience with quote line direct, they’re just a bunch of gangsters! Had me over for a lot of money then cancelled my policy and charged me! Very bad company, with church hill now! No problems at all!

It was cheap to start with but there was questions on the forms that I could not answer. Questions that they new the answers to. So they imposed penalties for not knowing the details, which doubled the cost of the insurance.

Very disappointed it was cheaper than other insurances but there was a reason for it they will try to find other ways to get more money from you after you bought the insurance.

Was contacted via letter then phone 7days apart in my renewal period (14 days prior to renewal) the letter was self explanatory but the phone call was odd and rude with the guy talking absolute tosh and saying "do you want me to cancel it then or what" when all I had said was I haven't decided if I'm going with the renewal yet. If I had more time to shop around after this call I would have left but unfortunately I've let it renew. Next year though I'm off . Not very polite and not a lot of customer knowledge, leaves me wondering what they would be like in the event of a claim if this is how they treat their existing customers at the renewal stage.

I called to ask why my credit card statement had been charged twice on the same day for my new policy. The person who could resolve the problem was apparently at lunch (one person to handle accounts?) but I was promised a called back as soon as he/she returned. No call materialized. I sorted the problem myself when I saw that a credit had been paid some days after the initial error. Not impressed - I just hope I never need to make a claim.

Prior to cancellation of my commercial (pick up) policy, I lived with the £37.50 amendment fees, for address changes etc. Then I sold the vehicle hoping to transfer the balance onto an ordinary car, and apart from non competitive quotes, they initiated a £45 cancellation fee & reiterated it can take up to 60 days for a refund. In this day & age of electronic payments/data base, etc, it's a poor excuse to hold onto your money for so long. So be careful, VERY careful, when dealing with these broker types as you might think you got a competitive price but just wait until you either amend or, in my case, cancel your policy!
