I had a 5 year loan with this company, paid in full and on time. My Credit rating is 100%. I have a lot if money in Shares, Also have available Credit within the Lloyd's banking group at a rate of 3%, applied for another loan and was declined. Natwest automatically accepted me. I will never use Sainsburys bank again. Filled a letter of complaint. ***Advise *** DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

took out the card with the intention of transferring a balance. Once I had taken it out I was informed that I couldn't complete the balance transfer from this specific card (a mastercard). Sainsburys do not list the cards they don't accept for credit transfer - you only find out when it is too late and you've committed to taking out their contract. Also nearly impossible to speak to a human being. Shoddy service.

Warning my new card was declined when I tried to use it & I've been told (by Saubsburys) this is done randomly to new customers. This could happen to you so be careful.

I am attempting to fix my worsening financial situation but Sainsburys Bank will not even discuss this with me until their own timeframe is complete. The reason for their timings is self evident, to ensure my credit score is demolished. There is no legal requirement, no logical one. None of the other creditors are taking anywhere as long. I started talking to them over 2 months ago yet I still have wait longer before I can even ask the question. If you can I advise avoiding Sainsbury's Bank for loans. The customer service is shocking. I made a complaint and still haven't heard back; other than an email telling me someone will be in touch this has been almost 2 weeks. So long as there are no issues, all is well. Want to change anything or have issues, they are machines, the front line staff are humans with no ability to make decisions, everything is no, its our process. I best liken Sainsbury Bank to those shady private parking people who automatically turn down all challenges first time round. I hope no-one at Sainsbury Bank ever has to deal with Sainbury's Bank, they'd be horrified. Awful and cruel company. They would rather see me bankrupt than discuss my situation. Cutting off their noses to follow their processes.

I had a Sainsbury's loan and got into difficulties. Had a mental breakdown, lost my job and marriage. Eventually set up new payment plan with Sainsburys which was honoured. In 2019 I was informed that payments had been missed however it was there error. My payments were not being credited to my loan account. For my trouble I received £100 and told that Sainsburys would not be chasing for the rest of the money but if I wished I could continue to make payments. Of course I did not. However in March 21 they sold the debt to Cabot Financial Services and letters were sent to the address they had on file, an address I had left. By pure chance I went to see the new owners who passed on the mail. Next day contacted Sainsburys who enfactically told me that the loan had not been sold and there was a 'mark' on my file that meant it could not be sold. I had to at their request email over the letters. They duly apologised and sent £300 for the distress caused. However in amongst all of the above is the levels of service. ...Letters allegedly sent in June 2019 never received ..Bank didn't know it had sold the debt ..I've been told twice that the balance has been written off. However what this means to a lay person and the bank is different. What the bank means is that they will not chase for outstanding money but cannot guarantee that an 'error' won't occurred again causing further distress. ..if if is sold in error again how lucky will I be not to return to the old address and collect post. ..what if I hadn't got the Cabot Financial Services letters requesting payment. Would i eventually had a CCJ or bailiffs?

Only 1star cause that was the lowest I could give avoid this bank like the plague I got a 0% credit card in March first payment due 5th April paid it on 27th March on 6th of April had a text from my bank stated not enough funds in my account for DD £939 went to the bank and they couldn’t explain anyway long story short turns out Sainsbury’s bank took out £939 which was the full amount I owed on my card then it was paid back in by the bank when I phoned to complain was told I signed up to pay the full amount and there was nothing they could do and I will lose my 0% interest as well which I’m pretty sure I didn’t it was a transfer from an other card why would I sign up to pay in full I wouldn’t of bothered with another card I would of just paid that of my original card and not had to pay interest to rub salt into the would they charged me £12 for not having funds in my account which will probably affect my credit score my card is now at the bottom of my bin having transferred to another card and I have been a loyal customer for years but not any longer

It has taken over 2 weeks to obtain a balance transfer. 2 phone calls later and then saying I was accepted immediately and still no transfer or credit card has been received! Never had it take this long, usually done and dusted within a week. Shoddy.

Whenever I go online to pay my credit card bill, my debit card is not accepted for payment. I get a message saying You Cannot Pay With A Credit Card, Please Enter A Debit Card Number. It IS a DEBIT card. So I have to phone the automated telephone service and go through a long and tedious option selection to pay my bill with the same card that is rejected online. I have been complaining about this for 3 years to no avail.

I applied for a balance transfer credit card . It was approved quickly but I was told to call when I received the card to activate balance transfer . Now it turns out that they don’t transfer balances from my existing credit card ! Wonder if they actually transfer from any ? Waste of time, I have cancelled their card and will never use them again .

The renewal quote for Sainsbury's Bank Home Insurance after Year 1 was 30% more expensive than a policy I was offered by another provider, which also included more cover than Sainsbury's. When I attempted to use my online account and phone app to cancel the policy, the option was not available. They debited my account 3 days before the policy was due to renew. I spent hours on the phone trying to reverse this. CONCLUSION: they are not competitive, their account managements services do not let you manage your account and they actively pursue a policy of entrapment for renewal.

The security is impossible it just feels like they ask one question after another until you make a mistake and then they cancel the whole thing and you have to start again with endless One time passwords dates of birth codes usernames passwords etc etc - I have never been able to view a bank statement - security is one thing but this is deliberately obstructive.

Terrible online service from Sainsbury's Bank. My account is locked out but they have an unlock facility but it does not accept the expiry date from my card despite it being correct. I reported this to them a week ago and raised a complaint and they have not even acknowledged this and have still not fixed the error so have had to call back but today their automated phone service does not recognise keys being pressed so just loops. I have to resort to their social media presence to get assistance and am still waiting!!

Very bad experience with the website. Logging in is a pain, it always rejects a perfectly valid PIN at least once before finally accepting it if you're lucky. Earlier today it refused three times, forcing me to reset it! (I'd guess there's a bug in the input routine). Once in, things don't get any better. Despite having accepted a transfer in from my current account, when I try to transfer out to the same account it's unable to recognise me as the owner.

Abysmal service: they decided to cancel my contents insurance without explaining why, told me to phone them, then put me through multiple choice questions before repeatedly chucking me off the system. Absolutely useless. And they send repeated letters lying about what they're going to do (we're going to cancel on x date ... and then another saying they'll cancel on another date).
