I phoned Sheila's Wheels to ask them to remove a named driver from my car policy the charge for this is.....£35.00!!! Astonishing isn't it. Buyer beware!

I used to be very happy with them. However they seem to have passed on their travel claims to a third party that is putting forward pretty unreasonable requests (detail below) and that made me wait 20 mins to speak to the right person. (I had to list all that was in the bag that was delayed, inc value, when I bought it, where, what proof of purchase I have, etc. I am not claiming for lost contents, only expenses for basic items!! Also they asked for the airport baggage department to confirm 'in writing' the number of hours between they lost the bad and when I got it back... The whole thing has taken hours to compile and a 40 mins call. Def not worth the £200!)

Spoke to Riz, wasn't friendly or helpful. There is no need for such a rude tone of voice. emailed them with feedback, heard nothing. My renewal was £330 but I got the same policy on GoCompare for £280.

Terrible. They didn't listen when i was involved in a accident and I was blamed. When I had explained the situation. It was clearly the other driver. Then when I tried to speak talkto them after they would not help. Even though they said they were going to go through the call that was made. I was not given the cursity car. As they said they had 72 hours. And then they wrote the car off. I wasn't asked if I wanted the car back. I wasn't told I could dispute the pay out. The communication was terrible. Then after the huge exspence of sorting out a new car and insuring it I discovered they didn't add road side assistance. I think this company is appalling and when the policy runs out I will not be using them again.

Don't use. Third party hit my car and they are now claiming that i didn't inform them about all of the damage. I now have a car with a cracked bumper due to no fault of my own! Also still don't have my excess back, and this was back in October.

I’v been a customer with Sheila he’s wheels for years. I’v never had a claim and pay annually. I find them hard work I inquired to add my granddaughter on my insurance last year as a learner driver and was told that I couldn’t. Just rang them this morning to ask about business insurance am I covered and find out no I’m not but I can be at a price. There is always a price. I will 100% not be renewing my car insurance with them in the future.

None of the garages in my catchment area were open Saturday morning, or could come to my place of work during the week! Had to drive for 2.5 hour round trip for a 10 minute estimation. Come on Sheila's wheels join up the dots and make it less painful.

So hard to get hold off, average wait time is 20 minutes and I've had to make multiple calls as they do not seem willing to contact me with an update about my non fault claim. When you do get through to someone they transfer you over to another department but the call cuts off or an automated message tells you the number is no longer in use and cuts off. So frustrating, the staff however, when you do speak to them are helpful just a shame customers are often very disgruntled after waiting so long to get through!

It would seem I'm joining a whole host of unhappy customers of this sad company. Although to be honest, I don't think any insurance company wants to pay out money if they can get away with it. My problem was with some tiles being blown up out of place by high winds. The bad weather was confirmed by a Sheilas wheel member of staff as being 65 mph winds and torrential rain. But despite that fact, when the surveyor turned up to look at the damage he walked out into the garden and took pictures of the roof from half way down the garden and stated it was wear and tear and could not, therefore, honour any payment to repair the roof. Whilst I agree there may have been wear and tear on my 1950s house, it doesn't detract from the fact that high winds took the tiles up letting the rain in which wasn't an issue prior to the storm. On checking the damage inside in the bedroom, the ceiling was badly stained and the plaster board bubbled from the wet. The mattress was soaked and an expensive cupboard had been soaked and now the draws are jammed solid. Carpet and underlay were also water damaged. The surveyor said the bed would dry out and as it isn't stained would not pay out on that. Which it did but now smells musty even though it isn't stained and is unusable. The carpet they agreed to pay out on. The ceiling was, as far as the surveyor was concerned, repairable with stain cover paint and a 'good emulsion'. He would not pay out on replacing the damaged boards. The surveyor offered us a pittance to repair our cupboard and advised us that a rubbing of a wax candle would sort out the jamming or plane a bit off the draws. Apparently they encourage 'mend and make do' attitude rather than look after their customers attitude. This comes after seven years of never claiming a thing. So I'm afraid Sheilas Wheels can get on their collective bike because we won't be using them again. The problem is there probably isn't an insurance company in the country that will be any better. The whole industry from cars to pets is a big money making scam.
