“Absolute garbage, 100% don't recommend go somewhere else!”

“Just want to warn people about this car insurance company they lure young drivers in and make loads of money out of them because they seem to be the cheapest to go with! I started driving in October last year soon after I passed my test, but stupidly didn't look into the insurance company I chose to go with, I chose wise-driving because it was the cheapest I could find at the time, I paid over £1000 for the whole year but I should of just paid that little bit more because now I've ended up paying them stupid amounts and they don't tell you about all their hidden fees. One of the down falls of this company is that you will have to have a black box installed and you have to pay for that on top and if you eventually would like it removed they will charge you again. They threatened multiple times to cancel my insurance and that they would not give me my £1000 back that I paid for the year if they did cancel it. They told me that they haven't been able to contact me to arrange the black box to be fitted even though I called time and time again trying to arrange it and was just passed from person to person, I also sent countless emails. They monitor your driving by using a driving dash board which you can access online, if you can even access it because their website is terrible. If your driving score goes down slightly they will then charge you again sometimes without even telling you, twice my policy went up because my score went down by 5% and I had to pay another £288 for this all together. These people are almost impossible to contact if you need to change something to do with your policy such as the car you drive or even your surname they charge you £35 to do this over the phone, if you try to do it online it's almost impossible to access half the time because their website is down. They are now trying to charge me another £120 which I am refusing to pay for cancellation fees even though my insurance policy runs out next week and I've told them I'm not renewing as I've sold my car so they are also threatening debt collectors. This is the worst company to go with and I just want to warn others especially young people who want to start driving as soon as possible, just because it seems cheap doesn't mean it's going to be, I've looked into the company now and they have been voted one of the worst insurance company's to go with! There are countless complaints about them all over the Internet.”

“AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I noticed that my monthly payments hadn't come out of my account for the last couple of months so I contacted them to see what was wrong. They explained that my policy was still active and that there was a system error, which is why the payments hadn't been taken. They then said that I have to pay the money I now owe in 7 days or they'll cancel my policy!! And not only will they cancel my policy, the amount I owe will be put through to a debt collection agency, so I'd have to pay it anyway! No effort has been made to make arrangements for me to pay this money back in instalments! I've just been given 7 days for THEIR mistake! Ridiculous!”

“Rubbish rubbish rubbish!!! Joined them July 2016 and was driving fine had 100% then over the past month been driving a little bit bad and went down to 33%?! Now they emailed saying they will cancel on 10th September, with a £120 fee PLUS £2088.32 for that one month of "bad" driving". They said it paid the amount, if it reaches 80% will get the £2088.32 back. Ridiculous !!! I understand it's my fault but really £2000????!!!! Stupid, expensive and a tota complete waste. A joke”

“Completed the year of with wise driving, but then my son, for whom I had paid the £1400 insurance, was given a £99 cancellation fee that they said was in the contract. They haven't replied to my complaint about this yet even after my second time of asking.”

“They take the money, install the box. Then deduct another lot of money, after 2 days of chasing them, it turns out it was wrongly deducted, but I have to wait 3 to 5 days for a refund. Then today I get a message my Insurance is cancelled..................All in the 1st Month !!!!!! No phone calls, No reasons, No Customer Service, Sweet F*%# All !!!! How are Companies allowed to operate like this ???”

“This insurance/fraud company is wrong on different levels, for starters, they never listen to reason and are very quick to cancel you insurance policy, even so when you been insuring your car with them for couple of years. All this black box monitoring thingy that they have going on for them is rigged, your dashboard shows irrelevant information most of the time. Avoid is you can, if not, start saving money because when something goes wrong, and believe me it will go wrong at some point, it will cost you allot of your time and money. P.S Customer service is useless so don't bother calling them for help. Avoid these con artist.”

“Paid in full for insurance. Guy was rude about the installation of the black box and was certain I would get a call which I didn't so had to phone them. Sorted that and then they couldn't fit me in for 15 days si my policy would have cancelled anyway. Rang them and cancelled the whole thing. Was told I'd be charge over 100 pounds as I'd had a black box fitted (that's why I'm cancelling it you donkey). Finally managed to cancel it and was told it would be 3-5 days for refund...still waiting! Ugh. I'd never use them again!”

“THE WORST Insurance company I have ever come across. They lure young drivers in with low quotes and once you commit, every month there's something that increases. I had a whole, new additional premium of nearly £1000 that they expected me to pay based on an average score. I was mortified! Their staff, including management are condescending and don't speak to you like human-beings! This company is disgusting and should be looked into!”

“this company seriously needs to be looked into.....i got insurance out with them as I bought my girlfriend a little car but she failed her test so sold the car after 1 month (I paid £190 deposit then £91 monthly premium came out they said they had not received my no claims discount email after sending this 5 times and getting an aknowledge email they had not received this ...so they took another £158 from my account without notice and wouldn't of known if I hadn't checked my account .. I cancelled the policy within 28 days with a phonecall to them and they charged me another £44 to do this ...so all in all its cost me £482 for 1 months policy absolute rip off ,,,surely this cant be allowed to happen”

“I paid my nieces deposit for her car insurance till she got paid, they took the money from my bank card 2 days later, then my niece had a letter a wk later stating they had cancelled her policy because she had not been available to have the black box fitted, she had no notification they were coming out to do it ,she was off work sick on the day they came out even tho they had her mobile number & her email, nothing was received from them, so I am still waiting for my refund from this vile company (6wks waiting so far) ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY SO DO NOT ENTERTAIN HAVING ANYING TO DO WITH WISE DRIVIING”

“I took out a policy with these guys paid the £315 deposit to then be told my insurance has been canceled due to not having the black box fitted which i new nothing about!!! They did not contact me or arrange to have the box fitted. I paid the £130 for the months insurance & then was told they are charging me £75 cancelation fee although they admitted they didnt state the terms correctly!! 18 days later i still havent received the rest of the deposit money back after being told it days 3-5 working days. Rang them up everyday to be told it can take up to a few feeks, i was put on hold only to be cut off!! Then i was told there finance system was down & there computer has crashed! All they want is money money money! AVOID!!!!!! Still have not recieved the rest of my deposit money! Worst insurance i have ever come across!!!!!!”

“Fraudsters. DO not insure a vehicle with this company. They may be cheap when you agree the policy but do not hesitate in taking £400 odd every few months if your score decreases. However if your score increases, they do not pay return premiums and give a plethora of different excuses each time. When you eventually get through to them by phone you are put onto an absolute idiot who knows nothing and says something completely different to the last person. DO NOT USE WISE DRIVING.”

“Worst insurance company I have dealt with in 35 years of driving. My son has a black box and has averaged good or very good, but they have decided (based on goodness knows what) that his score is in the mid 30's, so have merrily increased his policy by nearly £600. I would seriously recommend that you look for an alternative company - these guys appear to have a business model that lures in young drivers with what appears a cheaper rate, then they seem to artificially load the policy premium by placing their own "special interpretation" on the graphs they themselves produce. Definitely moving, what a disappointment”
