“First 3 months were good but recieved a letter saying they're cancelling my policy for no reason whatsoever and I have to pay £120 cancellation fee. Rang up and they are adament that they are cancelling my policy. Absolutely rediculous, wish I had read the reviews beforehand. If i could give 0 stars I would.”

“Disgusting company! Cancelled my policy yesterday with the reason that they needed a copy of my v5 which they took when the box was installed. This is the 2nd time they've cancelled my policy amongst all the other charges here and there which haven't really been explained. Safe to say I didn't take up another policy with them!! Avoid this company at all costs!!!!!!”

“If your looking for a company who you wish to pay in full (£1100) to then be charged an extra £1200 3 months later then look no further! This is the insurance company for you! As you can guess I was not impressed...”

“They give you a score at regular intervals. although I am an extremely careful driver at ALL times my score ranges from 0-100. They claim more money from your ac when your score is poor but seem very reluctant to credit you when you drive well. (I had 1 reimbursement). I have contacted them and they said they would look into it... that was 3 months ago I'm not happy”

“Although I had cash back after my driving scores, the system seems working not exactly. The scores shows fault values sometimes. But at the end l still got discount after my good driving behaviour, so I'm a satisfied customer eventually.”

“BEEN CHARGED £85 FOR CANCELLING A POLICY WHICH HAS ALREADY ENDED. WISE DRIVING TRIED TO TAKE THE MONEY FOR ANOTHER YEARS INSURANCE OUT OF MY DIRECT DEBIT WITHOUT MY CONFIRMATION. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT ANYONE. I AM INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY.”

“In one word: atrocious Seemed good when i initially applied, but less than 2 weeks in was told that the person who fitted the box didn't upload my information and documents to the system, and had LOST them, and was told that they would cancel my policy with no refund (bearing in mind that i had paid the year upfront) unless i sent them the documents again. The "time and place" system is ridiculous as well, their explanation is "most accidents happen between 7pm and 7am" so they bring your score down for driving during those hours, which, for anybody who works normal hours, this is the time when the car is in most use. in short, i would recommend everybody to avoid this. yes, they are cheap on the comparison websites, but there are so many hidden snares and costs, that it ends up being one of the most expensive.”

“Wisedriving is a disgrace and Compare the Market/ confused.com shouldn't be peddling their scam. We've had the car for 2 months- one of which it was on the drive because my son had a broken leg- he's been asked to pay an extra premium of £1600 for 1 month's driving!!!! Should be illegal--DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY”

“Wise driving is a con, i had a driving score of 82, which dropped to 79 - and they I was charged 100 pounds. So now my annual policy is more expensive than the original - despite having a score of 79 as opposed to 50 which is the default score.”

“I used them for a year now. Always had excellent driving score and got some money refunded for good driving. However, they are very very doggy ... Can't get human on the phone...high cost 0844 number for customer services...Very high additional fees that they are trying to get from you ... I wrote complaints several times and always got generic replies....disaster.”

“My year of being insured with wise driving is almost up and i will be running away as quick as possible. My premiums should have been around £70 per month. Well I have never paid this since it started. I have been paying double that every month and would not say I am a bad driver. To top it off my dash board says my driving is good every month and in the green section. What on earth are people paying that are driving 'bad' according to them because mine have doubled and my driving is good. The most ridiculous thing I have ever come across. The black box is not legit and completely biased. They just over charge you to make money and claim your driving is bad. In fact I guess its very clever what an easy way to make money. Young drivers that cant afford insurance but end up paying double that anyway! My year is almost up and I have ended up paying double what I should have. I was getting prices less then that for the year without the box. I wish i would have known!”

“Terrible experience.In 2 months time my monthly payments gone up twice.They want me to pay extra £600 and when i ring them and ask them to explain me the reason why my payments increased,they haven't got any reasonable explanation for it.I wouldn't trust my account details to them again,all they do is just stealing from people.”

“Terrible. Unnecessary charges every month with no explanation as to why I had been charged. After three months. My monthly charge of £92 was tripled to £299.53. Very hard to cancel the policy, the email on the website never worked, when phoning to cancel they would end the phone call so I could not cancel my policy. Cancelation charge was over £300 more than what was agreed.”

“I didn't log on to check my dash board the first month because I wasn't speeding and was basically keeping with the flow of traffic. They gave me a very low score and raised my insurance by 500.00 pounds. Then I started following the tips on dash board. I had lorries tail gating, people flicking me off and still couldn't get a consistent good score. I even got a low score for ( time and place) taking the Misses to a night movie on Fridays. That's a NO NO. I spent so much time while driving looking at my dash that it was becoming dangerous. I would not recommend this to NO ONE>. I cancelled and found a insurance for less than half of what I was paying them.”

“Too all customers who are thinking about goin with these I urge you not too as wise driving looks too keeping your deposit for no reason this company took £800 of me then cancelled my policy for having blacked out windows on the back of the car my policy was cancelled on the 19th may then I spoke too management who was very unhelpful as they was rude as well as ignorant then the started my policy up again with out me noing just so they could keep my money then I revieved a letter tellin me that I now owe them £8000 for more car insurance which I don't no about so please be very careful about this company as there a con thanks and please take note as too what I have said as I don't want any one else too fall foul of there money grabbing games”

“I would advise anybody not to go with this insurance company as they rip you off they take your money and then cancelled my insurance policy due to I had blacked out windows and they then try to make me pay the cancellation fee on top as they had already took £800 pounds of nee then try to tell me they arnt giving me my deposit back and I after pay a further £300 for them to cancel it so I'm taking them to court cause in my book there a rip of insurance company and don't deserve anybody's business at all so my advice would be keep clear if you don't want ripping off and the staff are rude to you when you ring them”
