Communication is very poor. Phone was a Christmas present for my daughter. Developed faults quickly. Sent back to be repaired. Took 6 weeks and many emails to get it back. Still faulty. Sent away again and now my emails are being ignored. Awful experience. Extremely frustrating.

Awful customer service. My phone arrived with a faulty silent button, I need to have sound to keep track of father who has dementia. I returned the phone and they said it was out of warranty despite having only had it 2 months. They argued that it was a previous phone I had bought despite it being a different model. They refused to fix it and sent it back still broken and have since not replied to my messages.

I feel scammed! I chose Gecko for their price promise and was pleased with the quote received for two faulty and smashed iPhones. The quote expiry is days away yet they have paid me less due to the phones being quoted as working. My paperwork clearly shows the quotes were for faulty phones - their price promise is a con! Really disappointed and will not be recommending. By the time you’ve posted the phone (which I paid £6 for myself for two phones), it’s an inconvenience to ask for them to be returned. I have received nearly £100 less yet I’ve given them the phones as I described them.

Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I understand had to pay for postage, we do send out welcome packs in the post which contain pre-paid labels for you so you don't have to pay for it so it is frustrating to hear that you didn't receive this. The offer given is up to the amount so when we receive the phone we have to assess it in person to calculate the value of the phone and how much it will cost to repair it with the smashed screen.

Really bad experience. DO NOT SELL YOUR PHONE WITH THIS COMPANY. Originally quoted £255 for my iPhone 11. Great condition, always been in a case with a screen protector. After chasing up my phone after 2 weeks as it was lost in their warehouse, they emailed me stating my phone was in very poor condition and I would only receive £133. After asking for proof of this they sent me pictures of a phone, it had new scratches all of over it, even chips on the edge of the screen!!!! After arguing against this for weeks they have gone ahead and just sent me the £133. I’m not sure what’s happened to my phone or if it is even my phone but they have either done this on purpose to pay me less or they have not taken care of it whilst it was lost. Really really unhappy with this service and will not be sending any futures mobiles to them.

Hi Shanice, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I can see that your phone was located in our un-claimed area which is where a phone goes when a packing slip wasn't included so our warehouse team were unable to identify the owner of the phone when it arrived with us. When this happens we have no choice but to wait for the owner to get in touch to claim the phone so we can process it through, once you got in touch I can then see it was processed in the next day. I can also see that this phone was confirmed to be yours from the IMEI and due to the level of scratches found, we would have to sell the phone for a much lower condition and for less than expected which is why your offer was reduced. We then stated in your email where you were informed of your device failing testing that you have 5 days to choose whether to accept the offer or have it returned, as you didn't respond to this the offer was automatically accepted.

I can see that your device failed due the battery and having too many scratches, with these faults this meant the device was beyond economical repair so the maximum we were able to offer was £1. I can see that you accepted this offer so I'm happy to see that your payment went through successfully.

The phone I handed in was in good condition with a minor scratch. After processing the phone they said there was too many noticeable scratches on the phone - which just simply isn’t true and gave me a new offer much lower than the first. If the phone was scratched then it is likely that it was damaged in transit, in which case they should improve the postage packaging they send. Disappointing.

Hi Saijal, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. As we are selling these devices on we need to ensure that anybody purchasing the device is getting their value for money. As you're device arrived with more scratches than we originally thought, we would have to sell this as a lower condition than expected which is why your offer was reduced. If you believe that this is something that happened in transit then we can certainly look into this.

After ordering an iPad and paying for next day delivery no item arrived ,as it was the weekend no customer service was available.On Monday I contacted the company and was informed that DPD had lost the item and I would have to claim compensation from them ,after stating that the contract of sale was with Gecko not DPD and threatening with trading standards a refund was given and I was able to purchase item from a reliable seller,steer well clear.

Claimed phone was damage and reduced offer. No evidence of damage just a made up issue. Phone has lived in a case with a screen protector on all its life and in no way was it damaged! Daylight robbery. Avoid

Typical give you an offer then make some random excuses to pay you less. another unhappy person they all should be held to account sadly no one will . So they will continue to rob the hard working public.

I have brought a phone and it came with a loose and damaged screen however wasn’t advertised like that and now I have to pay extra to get the phone fixed when it came broken . Do not shop from here unless you want to be scammed

The phone FaceID only worked for 3 days. The screen cracked been put on a mantel piece. I found out only Apple can fix faceid and wouldn’t because Gecko had replaced the screen with the cheapest possible. Gecko wouldn’t refund me because of their screen being inadequate or fix the faceid - they said I’d caused significant accidental damage - never use this company.
