“Jury's out at the moment. I found the site easy to use, and got some very respectable quotes. However after taking up one such quote (From General Accident) I have found the premium has risen by over 25% of the original quoted figures. Trying to establish what has gone on here, but not a happy customer right now. Ratings are based on the unfavourable position I find myself in right now.”

“Headline figures quoted were very competitive on the GoCompare site. Like buying an airline ticket online ever increasing costs were added to the total which reduced the apparent initial cost savings. Lesson learnt. Returned to original insurer who by comparison gave a value added service”

“insurance quotations quite expensive they are already making astronomical profits and still increasing premiums you are also partly blame for being their tool knock the prices down please greed is no good”

“I have been a loyal customer for 7 years, my renewal is due and I received a new premium of £244. I logged into the site and my premium became £280??? I emailed to ask why and was told I had misunderstood, although the email quite clearly said 'new premium is £244' I do not like to be made a fool of and am not happy that although I have had no accidents, my premium keeps going up. Where is your loyalty to your long time customers?”

“Quotes are NOT true to the final quote offered!! A lot of the insurers give an online quote followed by a telephone number to call!! Speaking on the phone the final quote is given..... Be warned!!!!!!!”

“When going to the link to purchase the insurance, from the AA, some of the deyails i had filled on the Gocompare website had not been recognised on the AA site, and when filled in afterwards hiked nearly 10% onto the premium. A bit miffed!”

“Too many questions, taking too long to complete. I was interrupted by a phone call and was timed out so had to redo the whole thing. The results when completed were more than satisfactory but there has to be a quicker way of getting there.”

“Once again after using go impart.com I am hounded by a life insurance company called smart money. I also had Hastings Direct call me asking me to explain why I didn't choose their quote and how much I paid. I just want a quote, end of. Stop these other companies calling me.”

“I could not remember my password for Gocompare.com but as I seemed to be able to access my account there seemed to be no problem until I had chosen what I needed and was asked to put in my password. So after quite a time I was able to change it, but when I entered it, it was not accepted and I was advised that there was someone else with the same details, which was of course myself. It was very frustrating and I tried several times and again the next day (13th). It still would not except my details even though I had received an email to acknowledge I had changed my password. In the end I gave up and after further research rang my broker and bought my car insurance then. Your advice was fine but because of my frustration and time wasting I can only rate it as poor.”

“the web site wont allow me access so i cant retrieve my quotes it keeps coming up with an error message about there being more than one account registered to my email address”
