The costumer service informed me that they have a 60€ fee for cancellation of flights. This makes practically impossible to get refund for airport fees if one does want to cancel a flight.

bad service and cheating One of the the bad Air ticketing company Regarding my air ticket rebooking I spoke with one of the call centers agent Ms. Jashvidya She told me I have to pay extra 1530 Aed and she sent me link 1890 Aed. They are charging for rebooking huge amount I compare amount with Air line company is cheaper. I call from UAE to UK one and half hour They are Unsatisfied answers Never recommended to anyone Cheating ....

We made an initial booking for 4 adults and a baby (on lap) one of the adults needed the return date changed. When we contacted gotogate we were messed about so much being asked to call the airlines instead, and we did make calls back and forth. As the baby was under the name of the adult who needed the date changed A GOTOGAE EMPLOYEE advised that we make the first leg of the journey and then call back and change the return ticket. When we did that and called back another GOTOGATE employee said that no changes can be made as part of the ticket has been used. Once we bought another return ticket spending money again, gotogate called and offered to change the ticket. When I asked for a refund, they asked to send a complaint through- I sent it on the 9/1/2020 and still haven’t received a reply. They don’t even acknowledge the complaint. This is one the worst companies with absolutely useless employees, who don’t know what professionalism means.

I wish i had read the reviews before i booked the tickets. once the button is pressed, you are done. Anything after that is paid. forget about all the airline policies. now you are dealing with 2 set of policies. one from airlines and one from these. Airlines polices can still be managed, but with gotogate, its like paying them for the services for which they charge on their website, but even they don't know what they are about. They charge for cancellation within 24 hrs, premium charges for seat selection, charge for meal selection which airlines might not be even offering (seriously?). there money refund is 7-9 business days. I don't even want to start on the polite behavior and professionalism of the call center guys. On a whole, very regretting experience. Stay away as much as you can.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying my tickets through Gotogate. Avoid this agency at all costs, they are a scam company. Bought a ticket from NYC to Tel Aviv through Aeroflot several weeks in advance. Needed to change my flight by a single day. Aeroflot allows for a $50 change charge, or a free cancellation altogether. However I was told I need to change the flight through Gotogate. Gotogate wouldn’t allow me to cancel my flight, even though less than 24 hours passed. They pretended to check Aeroflot’s policy several times, asking me to wait. Then saying I can’t cancel. Changing the flight would cost $161 dollars, almost the entire amount is Aeroflot fees. They also sent me back and forth with the airline, telling me the airline can take care of me instead of helping me themselves. They basically said I should have paid for flexible tickets, tough luck. Part of the fees I needed to pay include “customer support” (around $30). Moral of the story: always buy through the airline directly. Or at the very least don’t use Gotogate!

Typed my name with one word mistaken, contacted the support, and Ahmad K, Customer Service, answered me that they cannot help, because the flight company doesn't alows that. After I have contacted the flight company, they have changed my mistake without any problems !

Massively incompetent. I spent three weeks trying to make a small change with a booking. Spoke to at least 10 different staff members by phone and email and including the floor supervisors. Everyone blames everyone else or gives conflicting advice. Can't cancel an unrelated domestic flight that was made as part of a multi-stop international booking because "the outbound following flight will also be cancelled" with no attempt to identify who the party is that's cancelling this. The airline was happy to cooperate if gotogate would contact them directly but gotogate didn't do this even after many times that they said that they would.

DO NOT book with them. Terrible company. Would give NEGATIVE stars if it were an option. Lost >$5000 and got no flights for my family holiday. A nightmare. Poor service, no accountability and misleading. Beware.

Don't ever use this agency, they are not US based company and they claim they don't have to follow US travel laws. I bought tickets with them, but then due to unforeseen circumstances needed to cancel it, they refused a refund even though it was within 24 hour period. Saying that the airline has a non refund policy, even though when I checked with that airline, they do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Gotogate are liars and scammers

BUYER BEWARE! AVOID!! Please read if you intend using this OTA (online travel agency): I booked a Lufthansa flight to Argentina from Manchester and paid £1,195. 5 days before departure my 80-year old Mum fell badly and was hospitalised. Lufthansa made a lovely gesture of a goodwill mitigating circumstance refund but because I had booked through Go To Gate the refund went back to them. I contacted Go To Gate but because I didn't tick and pay for THEIR cancellation insurance they refused to pass my refund over. Communication with them is like hitting your head against a wall. Round and around in circles with different foreign-sounding names spinning off the same templates responses in poor, broken English. I have checked legally and because my contract was with Go To Gate I need to take legal action (that I am doing) against them. Judge for yourself whether you should or could use such an unethical, immoral, deceitful middle-person in your purchase. They might entice you in with cheaper prices but YOU ARE AT RISK if anything goes wrong or changes. My advice is AVOID AVOID AVOID.

we paid gotogate for a suitcase on baltic. they didnt transfer it. my wife had to pay AGAIN at the airport. apparently its a thing with them - BUYER BEWARE!!

What a greedy, evil company. Will never use them again! I made a mistake on my booking so that the flight went the wrong way. I contacted support within an hour to cancel the booking, and they refused, even though it would've been simple for them to do. Contacted KLM, who would've been happy to refund me, but couldn't because gotogate had my tickets. BEWARE that you are giving up a lot of rights flying with gotogate, and they are ruthless. No sympathy at all. They have lost a customer for life.

Don't use Gotogate. We booked tickets with luggage and end up we have to pay again at check-in. We tried to call but they never respond. We will go to consumers affairs to report their scam..

Gotogate is a scam Gotogate is a scam! The worst company i’ve Ever done business with! And that is including all sectors! I’ve been trying to solve my problem, which I have been informed by the airline that is completely possible to do, for the past two weeks! I’ve been calling their joke of a customer service IN INDIA, which is quite funny considering it is a Swedish company with an English webpage, for the past two weeks in the evening, after full time working days, to get myself a 2-3 days deadline for them to get in touch with me which is never fulfilled! Don’t be fooled by their copied and pasted answers to these reviews! Nothing is done and nothing is solved! Gotogate is robbing me of my money, my holidays, my patience, my appetite, my free and resting time and of meeting my newborn nephew! I will not rest until I take you down and I WILL be seeking legal action to sue you and I recommend everyone who has been scammed by this joke of a company will do the same, as it is unacceptable for them to keep on scamming more and more people!

This company laughs at customers This company laughs at customers Unfortunately, it has unacceptable fraud I booked airline tickets on her way And I chose Flexible Ticket I paid an extra amount to change the ticket or flight date An hour later I found that the date of return was contrary to what I confirmed at the time of booking, I called customer service and after half an hour of waiting, They asked me to pay an extra 124 pounds to change the date, I told them I paid an extra when I booked moments ago I informed them that this was contrary to article 6 of the Company's rules and conditions, Especially as I ask to correct the booking with the same airlines and names , However, they requested the additional payment of 124 pounds This company laughs at its customers I don't recommend everyone to deal with it Reservation number EXRBH8G

DO NOT USE THIS TO BOOK ANYTHING!!!! The worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I booked a flexible ticket, and when I tried to change the date (after hours on the phone to non-English speaking call centres) I came to find out the date had in fact not been changed. I only discovered this because I rang the airline. When I raised the issue with Gotogate they refused to change the flight without me having to pay the fare difference AGAIN. I had already paid the fare difference when I changed the flight. On top of this you can't complain until 2 months after your return journey. You have been warned....it is not worth the cheap price of the flight and a flexible ticket is one huge scam.

Avoid. Air line cancels flight, offer full refund. Ticket purchased via GTG. GTG want to charge a processing fee to refund our money £45ea as we purchase a non refundable non transferable ticket. The airline cancelled the flight, GTG say we are asking for refund !!!!! 21 weeks later no refund. Avoid. Sadly credit card cash back is stalled due to GTG not cooperating. Shame CC does not honour cash back on scam agents. Avoid all of this. Book direct with airlines and put these scamming ticket agents out of business. £540 out of pocket. Scum.

If you have a problem they let you down, the worst customer care ever! My specific case: I booked a flight including additional check-in luggage with them, but when I checked the airline website there was no mention of the additional luggage. I contacted them, they made the booking not I. The answer: go and solve it yourself with the airline! What a customer care! I will never use them again!
