“Health & Safety ignored
Terrible company, very poor customer service to the point of just ignoring you. For the last 14 years the work they are contracted to doesn’t get done, often leaving health and safety issues.
After a fire broke out in land that Greenbelt managed, the fire brigade said it was shocking that land was not being managed and allowed to get in to such a dangerous state. It happened at 11am on a sunny morning and the area is under CCTV surveillance, which showed nobody had entered that area, as they could not due to it being so overgrown.
No CCTV copy was requested by the police or fire brigade. There is plenty of evidence that from before or after the fire Greenbelt have not maintained the land as contractually obliged, hence the Health and Safety comments. We can assure Greenbelt there are no false accusations and whether the fire was started by nature or human it was fuelled by unmanaged vegetation for many years that is still there today and you are still responsible for.
As expected even after the fire Greenbelt continued NOT to manage the land and still have not years later to this day, and for some reason seem happy to leave a health and safety issue outstanding.
Have written many times to try and get a date to fix, at least the health and safety issues to which they have not responded. Interesting that they can respond to a review in a few hours but not to emails in weeks. This highlights where their priorities lie.
All concerns have been provided to greenbelt in several emails on behalf of multiple residents which we will share with trustpilot if required.
Greenbelt do not need any individual contact details as this is a shared area for all the residents of the Balgarvie Estate and public as they have been told on several occasions captured in emails.
This is a company that insists on personal details to raise an issue when they have not carried out work in communal areas for years, which is a great way of deflecting to avoid doing urgent health and safety work and again shows their priorities.

“This company has been nothing short of a nightmare for me. My account was unfairly locked, and when I asked why, they demanded that I pay taxes. COVSECLTD.COM was crucial in helping me recover alll my money and what was rightfully mine ”
“An absolute scam of a company. We were lied to when we bought our house with regards to the management company. We had no idea they'd be embedded in our house deeds, effectively tieing you too them and allowing them to increase their fees with hugely inflated made up costs year on year that you can't do anything about. A total scam that the council and developers are all in on. How this is allowed in this day and age is criminal. A truly disgusting company who are taking advantage of a legal loophole that even the Government seems to be turning a blind eye too.
If you are thinking of buying a house with scammers Greenbelt being the management company, DO NOT DO IT!”
“Absolute garbage, one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. Modern day corporate thieves who know nothing about land management, struggle to cut grass let alone anything else. The lack of care and attention to the maintenance on sight is absolutely shocking and totally unacceptable. If that was my company providing a service I’d be highly disappointed and embarrassed by the standards or rather the lack of standards that’s being provided.”
“This company is a scam; they don't maintain anything, break their contracts, and then try to charge you for the money even after you have paid USD 20,000,000. Other people will soon follow suit with their lack of care. I am grateful that C **/__O **/__N**/__ C**/__ E**/__ P**/__ T**/__ S**/__ T**/__ R**/__D. (C__*/*O*_/*M) helped me and received my money back; avoid these modern-day scammers. Try C_*O_*N_*C_*E_*P_*T_*S_*T_*R_D.C_*O*_M if you have any problems or challenges; they will assist you and get your money back”
“This is the worst "maintenance" group I have ever encountered. High charges, shoddy work, poor customer service. Never remove weeds and briars, never replace shrubs, and shrubs already there are choked by ivy and brambles. How do they get away with this!”
“They make charges up
Send threatening letters that we the estate will pay for flytipping and it will be added on the bill
Clerical work is a job day to day. Their charges are extreme for this and site visits
They are horrendous”
“Absolute scam and waste of money for the work they supposedly do on my housing estate. Unfortunately I have no option but to pay the £161.57 annual charge as it forms part of my agreement when I purchased my new home. I don’t have any objections paying a company to maintain gardens which I have done previously but Greenbelt work is of the lowest standard.”
“We pay them to maintain their own land but they don’t even do that. Small wooded area behind my house has not been maintained since the houses were built 20yrs ago. Horrible company to deal with, liars and con artists! If I could give no stars I would!”
“Awful awful awful people. Just HORRIBLE to deal with.
They put you in financially vulnerable positions with their bills.
They are absolutely useless. Their staff (Amy Greening in Customer Care, LOL, customer care....) literally couldn't sound like she gave a single hoot. NOT A CARE. Useless company.”
“Absolutely disgusting how I was treated by Vicky the assistant and Tracey the supervisor when I called last week to clarify why it says (go paperless) on my statement when Iam already paperless?
Staff very rude, elegant and both will not give me chance to finish my sentences either.
I was told by vicky ( I can’t see a point of you ringing us? I don’t know why you calling us in the first place ? There is no need to call us?) I said to her if Iam paperless why it say go paperless? She said it is on all customers statements not just you ? I told her you charged me £33 admin fee what is this for then when Iam paperless? I told her you have time to bill customers but have no time to updated my Records? She argued instead of saying Iam sorry if this caused you inconvenience and you had to call us too? No apology from her either.
I asked her to put me to customer service manager but instead she put me to Tracey her supervisor? She was more supportive to vicky rather than apologising to me . I told her I need to share my bad experience with others so send me a form to give feedback, she replied we don’t have forms you need to do it on line. At this stage I told her I need to put a complaint about both of being unhelpful and rude . Told her to send me the name and email address of the customer service manager so I address my complaint to them directly. She refused to do so instead, she emailed me to say the billing manager mr McQuade tried to contact you but could not reach you ? And he will call you on Monday 15th April to speak with you? Unbelievable that her and him arranging for me to be called? Why he is calling me now when he has not received my complaint yet?
Very strange behaviour as why you already informing the billing manager ( surely she worried and to cover herself) when I have not yet written my complaint ??
I was very upset and unhappy with these two staff of Greenbelt the way they spoke to me and how Tracey escalated that I want to complian when I had no chance yet to write my complaint. Which is very wrong to do so.
Message for chris customer service manager:
It is very sad to say both of your staff failed to provide basic customer service and it is totally wrong that Tracey had approached her billing manager asking him to give me a call 4 times on that afternoon before receiving my complaint first.
In addition to above it was shocking that Mr McQuade was trying to call me when he has not received my complaint yet? Very unprofessional behaviour to do so Mr? Do you think I will reply to that ? Because I already wasted 30min of my time speaking to both of your unpleasant staff and I would rather not to waste any more time speaking to you and should it waited to receive my complaint first.
Chris as customer manager you need to train both of them how to give good customer service to clients and inform McQuade not to jump into conclusions before receiving any complaints first? Is it because he want to protect your staff as priority to your customers??”
“One star is simply too much but not able to give half a star. They never answer emails regarding the extortionate charges for gardening. How they get away with it beggars belief. It needs regulating. Their yearly bill carries an admin charge per property of £59.00. The bill is paperless! Since when has a gardener charged for admin!!!!”
“It’s that time of year again when the money demand for work/inspections not done hits the inbox. In over ten years in my house I have yet to see anything for my money apart from a small area of grass being cut. How this company are allowed to act the way they are getting away with is absolutely criminal. I also see they are getting all negative reviews removed from Trustpilot so won’t waste my time. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed you.”
“This year marks 20 years of being extorted by this so called 'Land Management' company. Based out of Glasgow they could be on the moon for all the direct involvement they have with the maintenance of my development. They put the work out to local tender and the contract goes to the lowest bidder. The impact on the landscaping here has been a gradual degradation. Whilst large sums have been taken from the collective residents there is no reserve fund for unforeseen works. Anything over pruning or grass cutting involves additional charge. The practice of companies like this buying the rite to extort money from unsuspecting residents in perpetuity needs to be stopped. When in this world is it OK for anyone to continue to be paid regardless of the quality of their work? There has to be a break clause where the service or in this case the lack of a service can be publicly scrutinized and if necessary an alternative provider found and appointed. The alternative would render this arrangement as legalized extortion wouldn't it?”
“I cannot express enough how impressed I am with Greenbelt and the invaluable services they provide to our housing estate in East London. As a resident who deeply cares about the environment and the well-being of our community, Greenbelt has been a breath of fresh air in terms of their commitment to enhancing the biodiversity of our land.
From the moment we engaged with Greenbelt, their professionalism and dedication to sustainable land management were evident. They have not only met but exceeded our expectations. The positive impact they've had on our estate is truly remarkable.

I couldn't be more satisfied with their services, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any housing estate looking to improve their land management and enhance biodiversity. They deserve every bit of their 5-star rating and more! Thank you, Greenbelt, for making a positive difference in our neighborhood.”
