“I am a registered dog breeder. This is the SECOND time in two weeks that GUMTREE has DELETED MY AD!
The first time, they deleted it, they advised me that they could not re-post it, that i would have to waste MY TIME FOR THEIR ERROR TO REPOST IT. I asked to have a file note against my file for this NOT to happen again and for them to ensure that this does NOT happen. I paid $18 or $19 to upgrade my ad as the puppies can leave next sunday and just after Gumtree emailed me my receipt to upgrade, they emailed again saying my ad was deleted! UNIMPRESSED!”

“Put my 5 guitars up on gumtree. A bloke named Gaz very quickly responded. He eventually offered to buy 3, despite casting shade on one of them in order to try to put a bit of doubt in mind. I was very clear that it was buyer collect. However Gaz kept on about meeting at service stations miles from my home to do the deal. I was aware this man was a trader and his rationale to get me out of my home was to allow him to review the agreed price and offer less in the hope id capitulate and hed get even more of a bargain than he already had. As a consequence the deal fell through. However, rather than being an adult about it, man child Gaz then reported me and all 5 guitar adverts were immediately removed. Obviously because if he can't get the guitars then no one else is going to get them?
Nothing from gumtree about it just a cancellation. I have tried to communicate with gumtree, but they're customer service is appalling. No agents available. My advice is dont use gumtree, its obviously full of these shady Gaz type people who behave unethically (at the very least) while gumtree itself is woefully understaffed and illequpped to actually manage the business in any cohesive way.”

Hadn't used the site in years, posted an ad selling tickets & paid for 2 weeks front row space. Within a few hours the advert was removed, when contacting their online support, they failed to explain why but instead, supplied a 'Policy Rules' link, when I questioned this & asked for a refund, Gumtree rep then terminated the chat without any explanation.
Customer care, pathetic but happy to take your money.

And i see nobody called or texted and i pay another 10.99£ for bump up advert and still nothing in all London
I asked myself why ?? And I tried to find myself on the gumtree website and i can't find myself nowhere
I tried even from different gumtree user and still nothing find I tried searching in location and at the criteria Painter decorator and not finding nothing unfortunately im not happy for paying this money for seeing my advert is not displayed on the website
And in my profile says is active but is very good hidden please be aware if you pay on this website

Many sellers and or buyers one cannot see their details but they can see yours.
I think the majority of them are not even in the uk they might just be gumtree or ebay members of staff playing silly games.

“Absolute joke. Buyer kept bombarding me with questions that the answers to were written up in the description and each time made an offer of £10 less after I had agreed to the first offer they made. Eventually got cheesed off envisaging all kinds of problems at the payment/ collection stage and messaged him that I would not be selling the item to him. Came back with that this was no way to treat a disabled person ( for real ! ) followed by some choice expletives. To boot he left me with a 1 star review. Have had a couple of transactions that went smoothly but on the whole complete time wasters that never follow when replied to. Searching for another platform to sell odds and sods on.”

Started account with them to sell my phone and camera just before Christmas to get rid of old items. They removed listings and said:
"Upon review of your account, we’ve made the decision that we are not the appropriate advertising platform for you personally or your business model. We do appreciate your understanding and cooperation. I deeply apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and we thank you in advance for respecting our decision."
Gumtree belongs to eBay and PayPal. They are monopolist on the market and you can do nothing with them.

P.S. I was using email with RU extension (not gmail one) on a non-google browser with every dodgy tracking blocked. Assume that was the real reason. They want to track you all the time.”
