“MY Daughter bought a car , she's only young and spent her savings on it . The engine light came on on the way home so she took it to a garage for service. They are an MOT station , who said it was a write off and had been in an accident. The Seller has blocked us and was fake. Gumtree won't give us details of the sellar and assist., Just said it was a police matter. You are the platform that sells dangerous cars with no recourse.”

“Gumtree used to ba a great site to buy/sell items but now its a nightmare trying to sighn in. They ask me to make a new password and when its recieved it doesnt work. I try to get a code sent to my phone and when it arrives it says its incorrect. Such a pity as I have ben using Gumtree for approx 12 years”
“Absolutely crud. Can't ring them a d speak to a person. Have to go through chat and the guy Steve Z was refusing to help me. Kept telling me to respond to the email which I did I have he screenshots. Very unprofessional, rude. I can't sign in because I no longer have that phone number. There's no option to be able to change it until I guess you sign in. But as it's sending a verification code to the old phone it's impossible. So Steve Z sends me an email telling me to respond which I did asking me when's the last time I used gumtree. What's the last thing I sold. Who was the person I sold it to. Umm I don't know it was like 5 years ago how the hell would I remember that information. So he was just having a laugh at my expense. What's the point of the customer service help chat if they don't want to help you.”

Proceeded to do bank transfer put in my details then showed bank transfer which he cancelled and drove off with my phone !

Infinite messaged me with a standard scam message of buying my ring and paying by paypal and sending brother to pick up which is the same thing that all the other scammers use and I can't even block or report him on my web browser or phone app at all!! What happened to your safety feature? I used to be able to report and block via my iphone app but now even your browser don't offer that?! It doesn’t make me feel safe to use your platform at all now!”
“Used for years to post the SAME advert to rent my garage. Last year the advert was removed for no breach, Gumtree apologised after this happened 3 times and reinstated the advert. Posted again this year to re advertise and it was removed within 1 minute. There is no breach of terms and the advert has been the same since 2017. No reason, no reply! Have messaged 4 times since the advert was immediately removed, no response on chat.
Plus fees have gone from £5.99 to £17.99 for a 1 minute advert. Unreasonable and failed customer experience”
“The level of fraud taking place on gumtree is ridiculous, once I post a new ad I receive at least 3 fraudulent msgs - sort it out. This isn't even the issue.
You spent money on the latest UI changes and for the life of me I cannot figure out why, complete waste of time and money. You have added unnecessary clicks to the process (go look up anything about design and you'll realise this is bad). The old UI was spot on, zero complaints with it!
Revert back to the old UI
Fix your mobile application, it is slow and fails constantly.”
