“Gumtree app cannot be now used on different devices without being continuously signed out. Now when you post you need to insert photos twice as the first insert simply vanishes. Are the Gumtree employees qualify to manage this ap? It’s so unprofessional. Also:
Gumtree is charging now ridicules fees for posting: pets eg. gold Fish and for cars.
Even for 1 only , private car, they want money now.
Clearly it becomes less and less popular in community.
Annoying amount of Scammers.
If you make a mistake in category, while posting an add, you can’t correct it!
You have to delete it and start again ! How bad it is, only on Gumtree.
Every so called “update” is making this app worst, more and more unusable.
If you keep trying you can still manage to post that “ coffee table”, or “pair of shoes”

“Used for years to post the SAME advert to rent my garage. Last year the advert was removed for no breach, Gumtree apologised after this happened 3 times and reinstated the advert. Posted again this year to re advertise and it was removed within 1 minute. There is no breach of terms and the advert has been the same since 2017. No reason, no reply! Have messaged 4 times since the advert was immediately removed, no response on chat.
Plus fees have gone from £5.99 to £17.99 for a 1 minute advert. Unreasonable and failed customer experience”
“The level of fraud taking place on gumtree is ridiculous, once I post a new ad I receive at least 3 fraudulent msgs - sort it out. This isn't even the issue.
You spent money on the latest UI changes and for the life of me I cannot figure out why, complete waste of time and money. You have added unnecessary clicks to the process (go look up anything about design and you'll realise this is bad). The old UI was spot on, zero complaints with it!
Revert back to the old UI
Fix your mobile application, it is slow and fails constantly.”

“Registered an account through Gmail and couldn't upload any ads. Contacted support, offered everything to them, including ID, and was more or less told their automated system decided I was suspicious, shoved their rule book in my face and was told to have a nice day.
Apparently, you'll be deemed a national security threat for trying to advertise a couch for $125 pick-up only.
Customer service is too lazy to even do a basic check for anything or to cooperate.
Go elsewhere. They don't value your business.

I wonder why i sell stuff on here they even ask address via there mobile and you make a time to meet and no one turns up.
Why bother in first place and what about manners, seems to be rudeness rules or people offering ridiculous offers or making up stuff.
I looked up the mobile number that contacted me and it was from a business in Perth. These people are in our society there worth is zero when they act so poorly in regards to others.
Barely any good genuine people around anymore.

“administrators of this web are scammers and fraudulent, they will take the money and fool the public that the is futured while they have the way over the server to under any ads. in my case, they under my ad for puppies to facilitate unlawful possession of goods to someone else, more often from the police.
with puppies it is essential to be rehomes, and not fare for the owner or the pet, till you get to the point that you hand over your belongs for free.
I asked for total review how many times my ad appeared in search, guess? non, when I faced them and requesting GDPR customer's data they moved my account saying they are sorry to see me leave, and till now they did not provided any response, acting dump,
terms and condition, specific civil court and max 100 compensation, imagine how much I suffered and lost.

“I am having issues with the ads I've posted. At first I could not view them, then after reporting to the online customer service all my ads were removed without any explanation or communication. I reported again via email but still no communication received from customer service and I am not able to post any new ads”
“Yesterday I got some legal advice from a family member that specialises is criminal law, as I previously stated you took payment for 3 advert that you are refusing to refund because of what you say is I breached T&C’s but funnily enough can not tell me what exactly I’ve breached, fortunately for me I screenshot the 3rd advert before submitting it to you with payment which I was able to show her and she said NO T&C’s have been broken and also when I spoke to a member of your staff her words were

So I think we can agree that your T&C’s clearly state you can keep the money paid for the add IF T&C’s have been breached, IF T&C’s have NOT been breached then it is you that is illegally obtaining funds making you a fraudster and considering you tell EVERYONE they have breached T&C’s with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION AS TO HOW shows that it’s you breaking the law by breaking the legal agreement that is between the consumer and yourselves.
A decent company would take the time to look at an advert and discuss it with the consumer then put it back up visible to the public once it’s established NO T&C’s we’re breached, not just tell people to basically F off.
You are a disgrace. Like I previously said I’ve spent about £2700 getting a qualification that is VTCT and insurance so I am able to as a single mum stay off benefits and rent a private house but you scammers think it is ok to take away my livelihood just because you can”

Saw it was under review.. next day see that I have an email saying that my post will not be posted.. well okay so where is my money? And ,”my mate is a courier ,and ting is I owe him £100 , so I’m gonna PayPal you over the money for the item ,plus a hundred quid for him . Then they do a chargeback and disappear with your item and your £100 .”
“Lots of issues with this platform recently, which is a shame, because it used to be a handy site to sell/buy things locally.
1. The mobile app does not allow me to create new ads, but does allow me to reply to ads I've loaded via the website, it always comes up with "unexpected error occurred" and no information on how to fix it.
2. So many people click the auto reply "hi is this still available" then never follow up.
3. A lot of people ask questions that are answered in the ad.
4. Too many rediculous offers
5. Some people even agree to buy and don't show to pay and collect
6 if you allow your number to be viewable, your guaranteed to have scammers message you via what's app and ask for the item to be delivered, clearly not genuine buyers. Your number used to be hidden, but you could get calls/txts via the platform,
7. It seems to be flooded with traders now too, if you search for an item, you often get ads saying an item is for sale in your area, however this is often a trader offering delivery from much further away than advertised”

Placed an Ad, Even paid for it to be featured. Money came out my bank.
Checked my ad few days later and it was removed. No notification it was removed.
Contacted them by email.
They responded but did not give any reason.
Replied asking for my ‘featured’ money back but still no reply from them. It was only £4 so im not too stressed but that is not the point.
As bad as ebay is, it is not as bad as gumtree.
1st and last time seller so just beware.”
“Paid to advertise for 2 weeks featured they removed my ad few days later so I asked them to refund my money they refused. I understand the £2.99 fee but the £20 for 2 weeks featured to not refund that is disgusting. “Gumtree has on line - 'change your password.' goody I say.....Easy just punch in your email address to verify its you. Says to check spam just in case. So after no results there. It says that if you don't get an email to contact them! That's a lot harder than that. Heaps information not related to the 'change of password.' time wasters...I'm changing all my passwords as my phone has been compromised. So please Gumtree. Don't bother offering a change of password 'service' to not be able to access or use it. Or a possibility it cannot be accessed. Bad Company policy. Still can't change my password. It's a security solution for me. Is it a security value to Gumtree? if someone is using my account?possibility? Seems not a problem with Gumtree. I've repeatedly put in my usual password. It wont accept it. So all I want is a new password for my Gumtree account. Don't waste people's time by putting up an email address to change the password if it doesn't work. Dont make it hard for people to change their passwords. People are trying to protect their security issues. It should be easy to use.”
