“Using GW for equity release as advised by Age Partnership I believe the process was not progressed properly resulting in weeks of delay until I involved myself as per the emails on the 7/4/20 when I confirmed that it was not Barclays holding things up (after I was told they were the reason for the delay) when Barclays hadn't in fact received a request for a redemption figure. In my view this is a fair appraisal.”

“The company handled the transaction well. I have only one complaint and that is the charge of £50 plus VAT to deliver one’s settlement electronically. This probably works out at £1 per keystroke. GW’s answer was that all solicitors charge this but this just looks like a ripoff. The company’s fees should include this as to write a cheque, add a covering letter and include postage come under their agreed fees.”
