I am giving HALFORDS, Eastern Avenue, Gloucester, a very deserving ' Five Star' Rating for the following reasons :- I found Halfords. to be a very well stocked store for any motorists/cyclists customer's needs.which no other Gloucester retailer of such quality and robust goods can match. I attended and shopped at this Halfords Branch ( Gloucester ), on Wednesday. 3rd of July, 2019. looking to purchase good quality security items for two Motability electric scooters . A member of staff, namely, 'Aerron' was immediately on hand to assist me, and take me to and show me all my needs ( 2 x quality strong cables, 2 x best quality alarm locks with keys; and some minor items like wash sponges and disability display stickers ) all for under £50.00 which were well worth it, having regard to the fact that the locks and cables were probably the best I could obtain above that of from what any other retailer had to offer for my security needs....so top marks to HALFORDS. Eastern Avenue, Gloucester As a bonus. my grateful thanks to Aerron. who afforded me two minutes of time by adjusting the rear brake cables of my 4 wheeled disability shopping trolley. That's what I call a great service by HALFORDS Staff. I doubt that I would receive such all around good service at other retailers. THANK YOU HALFORDS, you are still as good and loyal as the days when I was a customer at your HALFORDS Swansea Branch in 1959.

Lack of service at Luton Halford Autocentre Booked my car for a free exhaust check at 8:30am (online stated 1hr) Arrived and was told that there was a backlog but to leave my car and I would get a call back by 12pm. After no call back went to the centre at 1pm and to my disappointed my car had not been touch. I was asked if I wanted to rebook, declined. will not use Halford centre or shop again. I would rate service as a big 0

Booked and paid online for a wheel alignment at Halfords Peterborough Breydon Centre email confirmation received at 4.20pm for an 8.30am appointment the next day. I arrived at 8.27 only to be told by the female receptionist/manager that she was just about to ring me as there was no MOT bay availability all day but she could book me in for another day. Requested a refund instead and she gave me the number of Customer Services to ring. At least that lady was apologetic and offered to send me a free MOT voucher when I said I would not use that branch again and she suggested I use another branch. Previously, I had made a booking online last year and the booking was only looked at when I arrived, although they did do the puncture repair within 55 minutes completed (it wasn't busy). Does seem to be little point in booking and paying online if they do not expect you! These places are just moneygrabbers, they want £90 to do an oil and filter change for my i40, when Brake Station over the back charges me £65.95! I have seen 205/60/R16 v92 tyres online for only £48.99 but I will find a different garage brand instead to make sure that my appointment is honoured! I am a taxi driver and don't like timewasting customers never mind timewasting businesses! I have previously spent a lot of money in the Halfords Stores before I ever had a discount card but even with a discount card most items are cheaper elsewhere! Will only use Halfords in an emergency in future!

Free MOT from promotion last year. West Ealing Halfords. Booked for 8.30..told it would be approx.11am. Phoned at 12.15 told only just started MOT. Phoned by them at 12.40 to be told it had failed with all brakes at dangerous levels. Quoted £542 to repair!!!. Collected car took to friend's garage and passed MOT with no issues for £45!! My friend's garage checked brakes/discs and all had several months if not years before anywhere near the wear level Halford's had made up!!! Cost me £0.00 as an experience which is the only positive. They make up faults to create work for them to fix....will never use again!

I booked my car service (interim) today at Weston-Super-Mare, I dropped my car off just before 2pm as requested, I wa told it would take an hour and a half to complete when booking, I returned at 3-30pm expecting it to be almost completed, however the sales manager told me it wouldn't be ready until at least 5-30, thank you Halfords for wasting my time, I took my car and will not be using you again.

I had to give one star as giving none wasn't an option they are that incompetent and uncaring. Since my first visit to the Bath branch for a simple clutch replacement my car has been back to the Branch at Oxford 7 times (making a total of 14 days off the road) to put right the work. During this time I have received conflicting and misleading advice resulting in numerous unnecessary wasted appointments, incomplete work, body work damage to the vehicle and cover ups about parts being fitted which weren't. Over this time the gearbox has been removed on at least 5 occasions and is now left with the legacy of an oil leak. At first Halfords said there was nothing wrong, then an oil seal needed replacing then the housing was cracked. If I had accepted this on face value I would have had to pay £900 plus fitting for a new gearbox which wasn't needed as I insisted on another examination which confirmed an oil leak. Halfords have refused to put this right even though the cause is most likely due to the frequent gearbox removal, as the car has only covered 50000 miles and as a Hyundai has a bullet prove reliability record. Correspondence with the Regional Manager and Head Office is now unanswered.

Halfords Autocentre Ipswich. Really bad service. My car went in for a service, mot and an aircon re-gas. I picked the car up and was told the aircon might be an issue because the machine was playing up. I got in my car and it was clear it wasn't working within 30 seconds. So they knew it wasn't working. I took it back and then it was a hose. I said you would of known because you can't re-gas the system if it can't pull a vacuum. Was then told they don't have the light to be able to check for a leak.. I got a refund but I question how well the service was done??? I will give anyone a chance but to be lied to... 3 days later received a parking fine of £60 for leaving my car in their carpark. Icing on the cake! No thanks! Steer clear people

I had a very poor experience at the Chester autocentre. I only took my car in for a simple minor service. It should have been straight forward you would have thought, no such luck. They made such basic errors, such as failing to put the oil cap back on and fitting the wrong oil filter. After raising a formal complaint with their head office I have now had 50% of the cost of the service refunded as a good will gesture. But after my poor experience I could not recommend them for even a straight forward minor service, what should be bread and butter to them you would have thought.

Took car in for 2 front tyres, after they took the wheels off they said they have to fit Run Flat tyres otherwise it wouldn’t pass a MOT. Totally false. I contacted several mot test stations and they all said the same thing. Halfords did put on the tyres I had already paid for in the end. There are a MOT station but clearly do t know the rules. I’d avoid. I used Tigers Way Leicester.

Used the Rochdale Auto centre after using Jeep main dealer for last 3 years. The customer service is so much better at Halfords, full service including engine flush was still over £150 cheaper and all the work was explained and any potential issues highlighted without any pressure to buy. A* and will be using again!

Great customer service by Sarah at Halfords Milton Keynes today. She gave me good advice about children’s car seats and helped to alter my existing seat to fit my growing grandchild to enable him to travel safely and comfortably. Thank you Sarah.

Went to Southport Store on Monday 22/5/2019 to have an indicator bulb replaced. Halfords say that they can fit the part for you. What they don't say is that it is fitted with total incompetence. The work that was completed by your staff member was negligible and left my car dangerous. I will not name him on a public platform but will share with the complaints team. I had to go to a proper garage to fix the issue as by fitting the wrong part you have damaged the unit beyond repair. I am currently pursuing Halfords for costs and I have been sent the forms today to make a claim. I urge anybody not to deal with this company as you are putting your faith in employees that simply cannot do the work they are stipulated they can do "while you wait" It has ended up costing me £198 to fix!!! If my claim is not reviewed and dealt with quickly I will start legal proceedings against you

Two years ago i had a window motor repaced on my car at Halfords Bath. On March 2019 I returned to Halfords as the window motor had failed. i was told that its a common fault This i found hard to beleive as i have owned the Car for ten years. I droped the car of at 8am 4pm Halfords rang me to say the car was fixed and to pick it up.On getting into the Car the window did not work the technician then ran the battery down trying the window. I was told to come back the next day so they could fix the issue Turns out the so called technician had wired it the wrong way around. Today 2 months later the window has failed its compleatly ruined my week end as i can not go anywhere as the car with a stuck open window is not sercure. So its another trip to Halfords which i can not really aford to do as i am having Chemotherapy I will never use them again

Book an MOT online for 10:00 and got confirmation of booking to drop car in before 10:00. Went to collect my car at 11:20 following drop off only to be told my booking was not till 10:50 and car was not ready. This was complete rubbish and had to show my booking confirmation was 10:00. Still got told I had at 10:50 appointment. Never got car till 11:50 now late for a hospital visit. Halfords Paisley service centre with no customer service. Kwik fit next time or anyone other than Halfords

Called and spoke to Ryan at the Blackburn branch to get my car booked in today and he completely refused to book in as he is fully booked until 13th June. I find it very difficult to believe that these guys are fully booked until then.

Burton-on-Trent Took my car to Burton-on-Trent for a free brake check. They quoted me £408 for front brakes and disc's but told me that there was more 'meat' on my front brakes than back brakes [although my back brakes didn't need doing?] this set alarm bells off so I said I'd take it for a 2nd quote elsewhere. When I got in my car I found my dash cam had been disconnected and the dash board display showed the last item to be accessed was my on board computer, odometer settings - which they had cleared - figures that I needed for my work expense claims. Needless to say I wasn't happy! Turned out that my disc's didn't need replacing, just my pads which cost me £50 for parts. They just try and rob you, tell you that you need work doing that you don't.
