We purchased a cream leather 3 piece suite from Harveys in 2016, we were advised to pay for the insurance due to it costing over £3,000 then less than two years later we noticed the leather was starting to flake on the headrest area, although we regularly used the cleaning kit supplied by Harveys when we purchased it, when we contacted Harvey to ask what they can do about it as we had taken there insurance cover we were told there was nothing they can do and that the insurance was only cover for the mechanical recliner mechanism and motors, so now I'm having to patch up with repair kits while saving to replace all chairs.

Very discusting i had bought a leather sofa With insurance for £2200 and extra money for the insurance i have had it only for 1 year and a half its peeling and colour coming off. I called the insurance company only to spoken to very rudely and to be told its not covered. Dont buy anything from here they are thieves and not helpful at all while giving a horrible attitude towards an existing customer.

I bought a leather sofa costing £1300 when it arrived the leather on the back of the sofa was saggy they sent somebody to look at it and take photos. I then received a letter from Harveys saying that it was just dressing and I could tuck the saggy leather in at the back so as not to be seen ...... absolutely appalling I’d never buy anything from them ever again!

This is the worst furniture store. I should have realised it was a bad idea shopping at Harveys when in the store - the salesman was arrogant and extremely unhelpful but we found the suite we were looking for, so went ahead. The worst part was the damage caused by the delivery team. They bashed a door on entry and marked the wooden floor when assembling the furniture. Harveys had the audacity to refuse to pay for the damage because the delivery team said they did not cause any damage! How bad is that. Stay away!

Absolutely disgusting service. Ordered a soda in February of this year and as of writing it’s nearly end of August. Told I would receive soda mid July, then beginning of August. When you ring, you are told to either call back or wait (as long as 40 minutes in my case) only for the gentleman on the other end to hang up after first 20 seconds of conversation. When I managed to get through via a callback option ( not always given as an option), I was told mid August that sofa is still with supplier!!!! I gave up and asked to cancel. I have asked for confirmation, and as of writing, it has been 7 days and still had no response. Finally, the administrations, blue group, have changed the terms on any sofas ordered prior to liquidation of Harvey’s in that not Harvey’s warranties will be honoured’. Buyer Beware! Stay away from them!

No wonder this company has gone into liquidation............I went to buy a corner sofa that cost more than what it was before they went into liquidation! I payed a deposit of £320 cash for a Corner sofa that cost £1,600 which comprised of a 6 piece corner sofa, when I got home and looked at the receipt it was only a 5 piece corner. I phone up and told the woman I spoke to in the Carmarthen store where I bought it from that their was only 5 pieces on the receipt! She told me if I wanted the extra piece I’d have to pay extra. When I told them it was a six piece I’d seen on display she told me id have to pay extra for the media tray, which was on display for only £1,399 before Covid 19 closure. She told me I could only have my deposit put back on my debit card not cash like I payed. There was only an hour gone buy before I rang them but she told me I’m lucky to have my deposit back...........please be very careful when dealing with this company.

Everything went well till I received the item damaged. When I went to return the item as was shocked that they charged 20 percent return fee . Even in a faulty item . I would not recommend either way they still take your money

Harvey's management of business during covid 19 is absolutely terrible. Contacting them is a nightmare, be prepared to wait for 90 minutes. You cannot reach their finance department directly, only through the other options. I also had my first delivery cancelled eventhough it was confirmed and had to wait another week! I advised that if you have given up, ask for a refund especially since this company maybe going into administration. Be aware that Harvey's may also refund you only 80% !

As a follow up to my review in March. I took the advice of a previous review. I had ordered a sofa and two chairs on 22 December. We the received the letter re New Year holiday extension and corona virus in China and then alot later one from Harvey's. Having had no other communication and unable to contact customer services I rang and spoke to my bank. They sent me a dispute form to explain the problem and today 18 June I have had my deposit returned.😃. I hadn't realised that I could get my money back as I paid on a Visa card not a credit card. As they look as if they are going into administration I urge anybody to contact their bank. Do not pay a balance as they seem to take your money but dont deliver. Apauling company.

If I could give 0 stars I would, firstly my impression of the staff in store was lazy and neglected me when I asked for information on a specific sofa, he disappeared and didn't come back anyway I finally put a deposit down on the sofa I wanted and was told 6 week before delivery, that would have been a week before they closed for lock down, It has now been 4 month and I've not heard a single thing regarding delivery or anything, each time I call I wait almost an hour to have the phone put down on me even though I'm calling to pay for the sofa! what is going on? Not happy I have a 6 month old baby and NO SOFA

I bought a faux leather corner sofa , roughly 2 years ago. In March I contacted you and sent photos of one of the seats where the faux leather is peeling. You replied and said this was due to general wear and tear. The irony is that the seat that is peeling is very rarely used and the ones that are used are not peeling. There are now patches of brown material showing through my slate grey sofa, which I feel is a disgrace on a 2 year old sofa. If you are selling a sofa it should last more than 2 years even with general wear and tear. A sofa is an expensive piece of furniture and I certainly don’t have money to replace one every 2 years. Please please do not buy the faux leather sofas from Harveys
