“The dress was not what I was expecting. The quality wasn’t the best, and the bust area was too big. I bought a small. You have to iron the dress which is fine. The biggest downside was I had to pay a lot of money for import fees. Beware international buyers!”

We are so sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with us! We do try our best to provide multiple images and we now also provide videos of the styles to help showcase what the styles look like in real life :) Please if you ever do see something else you may like, email through to customercare@her-empire.com so we can assist you as much as possible including sending through additional unedited images of materials up close etc to ensure you absolutely love any future purchases. As far as import fees we are so sorry for the confusion. We want to make sure you know that our shipping policies are clearly stated in our shipping information page, which is easily accessible before you place an order. Unfortunately, we have no control over duties and taxes. They're not charged by us but by the customs department in the destination country and vary depending on where you're shipping to. We're sorry that this is outside of our control, but our flat rate fee is intended to cover the actual cost of physically shipping your item from one place to another. If you wish to return your item once it arrives, we do offer full refunds. Once again, thank you for bringing this concern to our attention—we'll look into improving our service in the future! Hope you kindly understand! :) xxx

“Product was delivered within a reasonable time for an international (CAD) delivery and the quality is ok. However, the sizing runs way too large! I purchased Taylor skirt XS and Top S and I am floating in the skirt and the top fits funny. The skirt has a lot of material and too long. Not worth returning as there are no free returns so I will need to spend just as much on alterations.”

“Unfortunately the dress I ordered for my engagement party came with a tear in the front :( which I was a bummer because it was my only option with such short notice otherwise the shipping was very fast!”

Hi Paris, We are so sorry to hear that has happened! All items are quality checked before dispatch so we are so sorry if this was accidentally missed. We also haven't heard from you via our email so we had no idea you had received a dress from us in this condition! If we were contacted by you upon delivery we would have worked to resolve this issue asap for you! “really loved everything I got, but one didn't fit. Im a frustrated because i want to return for a bigger size and not pay the $30 shipping fee. It costs too much to exchange something and I don't have any money so it kinda sucks online shopping.”

Hi there, we’re so sorry to hear you aren’t happy with your experience. Our returns policy is clearly visible on our website prior to all customers making a purchase. We do have to keep this the same for all customers to ensure it’s fair. Unfortunately at this stage we don’t have the capacity to offer a free international returns process as we are still a smaller business. However, this is definitely something we’re working on in the future! The store credit also never expires! It can be used on anything site wide. We have a range of accessories like bags and jewellery! It can also be used on a gift card. All of which make great options for loved ones

“The dress is really thin and very open. Impossible to wear if you have boobs. Waited forever for a short dress and yes I got the right size and it’s very loose fitting due to thin fabric straps it’s cheaply made.... not worth it in my opinion no matter how “cute” it looks on a solid background mannican.”
