Appalling service. I ordered 6 items. Only received one item. Waited a week in delivery! Tried calling no one answered (currently on the phone). Used the “Contact form” on their website no one got back to me. Will be raising an issue with PayPal instead to get my money back.

Ordered a high priced item on tuesday (not that it should make any difference) for next day click and collect. Wednesday and the tracking said they hadn't even been given the parcel by the main depot. I rang twice that day and was told it would definitely be in store by the end of day even though I could quite clearly see via the tracking that it wouldnt be. Thursday strived and still no item or any updated tracking. Rang hobbycraft and they said they would send me another to my home address on a next day service. Friday arrives and no updated tracking and no parcel. I rang customer service again and they say they havent even sent the parcel from the main depot and would I like it delivered the next day? I asked for a refund and they said they wouldnt very able to give me my money back for eight days! They have already cost me money and I have now missed the deadline for my work as I don't have the tool I need. I do feel like covid is being used as an excuse, how can it be unprecedented a year later? And also do not make promises you cant keep. If you cant fulfill next day orders than simply dont offer them. I'm now finding it almost impossible to get my money back. Appalling service that has cause me alot of stress.

I put in a big order for threads etc 4 were not available though they were when I ordered and 10 threads arrived so filthy I am unable to use them. Also I was only given a refund on 8 instead of 10. Dreadful for such a large company.

Bought an embroidery machine which was faulty. They promised replacement but did not come to collect old one or bring new one twice till now and I been waiting for 3 weeks now. Tried ringing but I took me more than an hour holding the line until I gave up. Do not know what to next. They are very horrible to deal with. Do not buy any thing big from them.

As a first time buyer I was very disappointed. I thought I'll treat myself to some nice chunky yarn with the 3 for 2 offer. Unfortunately, I did not get value for money as the quality was just awful. All the 3 balls of yarn had knots, a lot of splitting and even some of the fiber was cut and it was hanging loose from the rest of the yarn, not to mention how much it was getting twisted while working with it. Customer service wasn't of much help either, even with photos as evidence . They just said the knots are normal but did not address the rest of the problems. I worked with better yarn for half the price. After all that I will not be returning to Hobbycraft or trying their other products.

It seems to be a bad combination of customer service and delivery service. I ordered a Cricut Maker bundle and the Machine part of the order never arrived, this appears to be down to Hermes- it took 5 phone calls To Hobbycraft on different days for another to be sent out. Machine was then £81 cheaper so phoned Hobbycraft’s customer services to see if this discount could be honoured to which they said I would need to order a new one and return the old order. So that is what I did- all brand new and unopened in the same box, I returned the original order. Patiently awaiting my refund of £390 -a couple of weeks later I received a refund of £30.90! So I phoned the customer service team up to resolve the matter. After initially being told that I would receive my refund that day I got a call back in which I had to explain numerous times what had happened was told my refund would now take 7 working days. Those days came and went and so I phoned again, the customer service worker was fantastic this time and totally understood what had happened and told me his manager would authorise the rest of the refund by the end of the day. I still did not receive the refund, I thought with it being a Friday I would wait until Monday to follow it up. I then received a phone call from Hobbycraft On Sunday and was passed to a team leader and I can only explain the phone call like I was being questioned- I have been lied to so many times on the phone with Hobbycraft- telling me that they only received the tools back/ telling me that I had received the original machine and at one point in the phone call I was told that I would have to take up the issue with Hermes! I was incredibly frustrated and upset and remained nice on the phone (because let’s face it- life isn’t super easy for anyone right now) after over 15 minutes of trying to explain how I had retuned all the items together and did not receive the original machine - she sent the money back. This took 4 times being told I would get my refund back and over two weeks of phone calls. This caused a heck of a lot of stress and worry and feel the issue was dealt with terribly, so as you can imagine- I will not be ordering from Hobbycraft again which is sad because I used to absolutely love shopping with Hobby craft in store.

I bought the "Ultimate Needle Felting Kit" from them online. It was described as containing wool roving, but there was not a gram of genuine wool in the kit. It was all synthetic fibre, which is difficult to work and not at all what was described or what I expected.

i would like to update that hermes are now stating they finally have the item...its day 7 from when i ordered. they now say the item which is a flat pack cardboard thing. is a bit too big so will dispatch within the next 2 days - taking it to 9 days from when i ordered and heaven only knows how long it will take from the extra 2 days. i have contacted hobbycraft several times with absolutely no response from them.... do NOT order anything for a childs birthday as bound to disappoint and cannot be trusted....also appear not to care....never encountered such a terrible service. They are also selling under false pretences by stating within 5 working days. DISGUSTING.

Terrible delivery and customer service. Placed an order with next day delivery, but it arrived three days later. Unfortunately, this arrived after the birthday party the order was placed for and so I enquired about a refund. The customer service was appalling. They did not acknowledge that the order arrived later than specified, despite my making this very clear in my email. Then, when I asked for a refund of the items, they said this was not possible. Yet, I am fully within my rights for a full refund upon return of the items, per their Returns and Refunds Policy. I have still not received a response from their customer service. Absolutely will NOT order from Hobbycraft again. Should call yourselves Shoddycraft.

Terrible delivery service and awful customer service. Placed an order with next day delivery, only for the items to arrive three working days later. Sadly, this was after the birthday party the order was for. I raised this issue with their customer service and I they did not acknowledge the fact the item was delivered after the specified next day delivery. When I later asked for a refund on the item and delivery charge, I was told this was not possible. Yet, this goes against their Refunds and Returns Policy and I have still not received a response from their customer service. Will not be placing an order with them again and would urge others not to.

Overpriced, no reviews available and they don’t keep up with current crafting trends. Just the same old same old on the shelves. Suggest looking to the U.S. for up and coming crafting trends - it’s not rocket science! Bought some brush pens today - very little brand choice so had to opt for Hobbycraft own brand - not brush markers at all just overpriced felt pens grrr! Money wasted - thanks Hobbycraft!

I find hobby craft to be generally overpriced and they dont have reviews of products on their website which would really help. I bought a £4 chalk pencil when altering a wedding dress. I didnt want to use anything else as I was worried they might mark the dress. The pencil was broken all the way through so when I sharpened it it kept breaking. It was also very overpriced. Waste of money.

Purchased an online order at 6:15 on a Thursday morn to be told via email it’ll be ready to collect from store the next day (Friday) Rang the store said it was on it’s way & they could see it with the courier could take until 8pm to get to them. I’ve then had to drive to the store with is 20 miles away to be told the parcel was lost & now wouldn’t be with me for another 3 days. Order cancelled as I needed it for the Weekend when it should have been here 😡😡
