I bought some specific luminous paint or so the shop assistant told me and payed cash. I used the paint only to find you need a light to see it which is a bit silly if you want glow in the dark paint. The sales assistant was asking every body if they wanted a receipt at which a lot including me said no need. When I took it back because it was no good and I had been miss sold the item I specifically asked for luminous paint I was told without a receipt you had to have a voucher. I had payed cash and they asked me if I wanted a receipt at the time I said no it was okay but the staff knew I needed a receipt if I had to return the item to get my cash back but they still asked if I wanted one they knew if the item was returned for some reason i would not get my money back even though i had a valid reason for returning it they got it wrong and gave me the wrong paint. They knew I had payed cash yet they still asked if I wanted a receipt and they knew I could not get my money back when they. sold it to me without a receipt it was actually cheating the customer out of their cash. They had no right to even ask if I wanted a receipt they had to give me one at the time to cover my rights as a customer that’s a con the store is in Exeter

Jam jars I bought, were made in China, lids didn't seal and where really thin cheap metal, useless. They were sold as jars for jam and pickle making! I wouldnt buy them if you want your jam to keep for longer than a month (not airtight)

Be careful what you see on their website. The customer service confirmed what being advertised on Hobbycraft official site is out of their control. They don't need to follow the law and will continue posting their misleading ads. As of today their scam advert is still on their website which they claim "out of their control" 😂 Obviously they intend to leave it there and scam more people. Feel free share on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter #scamhobbycraft check response from other users who experience similarly. Many of us already reported this awful company to ASA. The more the better 😊

Rude staff in store and a customer service department who didn’t care. Clearly a company who don’t pride themselves on good customer service. Won’t be shopping in hobbycraft again.

Please check your prices before you buy. The only scissor sharpener cost £16 something, the same product cost £10-99 in Trago an outrageous difference and sorry l used it in belief that big HobbyCraft would be cheaper.Never again

for nearly 3 months now my wife and I have been going in to the store nearly every week wanting to buy loose pick and mix beads as she loves making jewellery with them. But every time we go in there's never any beads. We ask when are you going to be getting your beads in but we just keep getting told "we don't know, maybe next week, I don't know"... or, "theres a supply chain problem, maybe next week" but then when we go back a week later it is still the same situation with no beads.

Made a large order specifically from Hobbycraft because I needed Next Day Delivery. Order was not received the next day, or the day after. I currently have no items and I'm out of pocket by over £400. Hobbycraft refuse to refund me until they receive the items back at their warehouse but admit that 'once Royal Mail have the items, they have no control over where they go'. I have no timescale as to when I'll receive my money and until then, I have no funds to order the items from elsewhere. As a result of this, I checked some review sites and I wish I had done it before because I am clearly not the only person to have had a negative experience. I urge you to spend your money with a company that actually deserves your money.

Ordered 2 Jubilee Happy and Glorious fat quarter packs along with another pack as part of the 3 for £21, for Click and Collect at the Newport store. Received email to say it was ready to collect. Went to collect order and they brought different fabric as they couldn’t find the Jubilee fabric, staff thought it had been stolen even though it had shown as available when I ordered. Personally I think that it was sold to someone else as all the fabric has hidden security tags so they’d know if someone tried to steal it. Staff were not very helpful and weren’t happy to refund as it meant phoning customer services as payment was via PayPal. Complained to customer services and they offered me a £5 voucher which expires in 2 weeks and is of little use to me as I won’t be shopping there again.

Ordered 2 items last week which were due for delivery on the Friday. After opening the box I realised an item was missing. Contacted customer service to state this and to request the missing item to be sent out ASAP as it was needed on the weekend. Received a response showing a picture of 1 parcel being on the doorstep from hobbycraft and the customer service assistant stated "hope this helps you locate your order". I responded again reiterating that 1 item was received and 1 item was missing and therefore was not delivered. Then received an email this morning simply saying "Apologies." and that the item was out of stock so a refund had been issued. Regardless of stock issues the first customer assistants response was quite rude and he had clearly not read my message properly which shows a lack of care. Will not be ordering online again.

looked at web page sewing machine wanted said instock in store, 60 round trip not in store, still says it is next day. so ordered online next day delivery that not happened also. tried click collect 1hr to next day told by customer service could cancel prior order to do this also if not in store which still says is but not would have to come from warehouse if in stock which says it is. all very misleading. customer service said in store means if in stock in warehouse, click collect the same happens and next day delivery the same but does not say this on web page so total gamble if they have the product anywhere. gave one star as only way could write this. try shop and support local, amazon looking way forward for all future purchases. customer services said maybe delivered now on monday was ordered friday so next day delivery means the day after the day it may arrive if have it in stock

Placed an order for goods and requested a delivery address different from billing address which clearly states you can do on their order form. Hobbycraft sent part of the order to billing address and part to the requested delivery address. This has caused me undress stress and costs me money. I spoke to customer service about this and explained the situation. At the time they agreed to refund the associated mailing costs. Unfortunately the have gone back on their word and just keep closing the case, no matter how times I contact them. Their customer service is disgusting, they are totally ignoring the fact that it is their error. They are the ones who delivered the parcel incorrectly which cost me £21.13 for the private mailing company I use to forward on the item of mail. I live aboard so I do not have any parcels delivered to my billing address as they take 3 months plus to get to me. Also, there is all import charges for any parcel that enters customs. Customer service keep closing the case saying it’s resolved. I can tell you now it is certainly NOT resolved, there is still the reimbursement of my mail costs to be addressed. Hobbycraft customer service staff need educating on how private mailing companies work. This review and complaint needs to be referred to Katherine Paterson, Customer Director

I placed an order as an international customer with Hobby crafts and paid directly via the hobby crafts site. The order was charged for the items as well as the international courier fee which was also paid for. However when the packages arrived in my destinations country, when checking almost 90 items from the order were missing. When the order was dispatched there had been no indication stating a refund or a back order of the missing items. Sadly when the package arrived the duty was changed on all the items orders which is also loss. When checking on this with Hobby Crafts customer care they just kept say sorry send an email or send an inquiry through contact us inquiry and they will get back.. Which to date there has been no response at all despite it being more than 48hrs. When called to complain of this the hobby craft representatives they just said sorry it handled by GlobalE and we cant help you with that.. Its rather ridicules to get a response as such for me as a customer, I do place my order direct with hobbycraft.co.uk and not through some third part website. Hence the responsibility of my or if at all any order placed by a customer should be the responsibility of hobbycraft.co.uk. Its a rather discussing feeling to experience as an international customer where over GBP 331.00 worth of products (90 items to be precise) just go missing from a paid order and not to even have a response back. Which is left to believe that the so called partner GlobalE is either a fraud or a scam which stealing money from genuine customers. Definitely wouldn’t recommend hobbycraft.co.uk for international customers. Unless you want to be cheated on.

Bought the sew your own sloth kit. It stated for age 8+. What an absolute nightmare. This was supposed to be an enjoyable craft for my daughter to do herself. No 8 year old is capable of doing this and instead Mummy and Granny did the whole thing. Instructions are dreadful and it shows backstitches and French knots. Trying to hold stuffing in place while sewing claws on at the same time is a challenge for most adults. You need a focus group of 8 year olds to do it and see how quickly they give up. Dreadful.

Same old, offers next day delivery and it's not next day. Don't offer next day delivery if it isn't a service you can provide, especially if it's with Hermes. Unfortunately no idea where my parcel is (as Hobbycraft don't have it and neither do Hermes) and I don't have my £200 cricut. I'll await my PayPal chargeback.

First time ordering from Hobbycraft, placed an order for £75+£6.50 delivery. Tracking number was sent the following day but that was 4 days ago. Used web site contact form and was told delivery would be today but today myhermes tracking says they're 'expecting it'. No idea from here. I may use in store but won't be using them ever again for delivery.

Ordered a cricut machine, when it arrived it is simply not fit for purpose, the draw feature leaves blotchy dots within the lines. Hobbycraft are refusing to accept a return as the product has been used and are now just ignoring my messages. How would I have known the machine would produce these blotchy dots without using the machine? Absolutely baffled and £250 down the drain during an already tough time. Avoid this company.
