"Booking was easy cannot complain. \r\n\r\nUnfortunately the holiday let Stybarrow Fold, Windermere was extremely disappointing. \r\n\r\nProperty was extremely tired and in need of decoration and upgrading in the lower bathrooms. Shower cubicle was dangerous very slippy with nothing to grab onto, we did mention this to the agency and they sent a couple of shower\/bath mats to use via Amazon, thank you.\r\n \r\nWe had faulty radiators, reported but not fixed during our visit. \r\n\r\nCarpets throughout were severely stained and dirty along skirting boards. \r\n\r\nBreakfast room furniture was mixed and looked scruffy. \r\n\r\nWe were asked to remove the bed linen and just leave the pillow and mattress protecters on, we did only to find brown\/ orange stains on the pillows and mattress protectors! \r\n\r\nKitchen was in need of a good clean, oven was greasy and food crumbs left from previous holiday makers! \r\n\r\nExternal bins were left partially full with previous people waste, I guess this is unfair as it\u2019s due to the bin collection, however, it\u2019s off putting. \r\n\r\nGarden furniture was old and in need of a clean, again I guess that\u2019s harsh as it was spring, however, for \u00a33k for a weeks holiday it would have been nice to be able to use the furniture. \r\n\r\nCompost bin in the corner of the garden was disgraceful, it\u2019s has been ransacked by feral and there were partly composted bags and food scraps everywhere, reported to the agency and the owners were not prepared to have it cleared away. The solution the agency\/property owners gave was to make sure the dogs didn\u2019t go to that area of the garden, The agency then agreed to send a handyman to clear it, but that didn\u2019t happen during our stay. We ended up with a very sick dog, and cut our stay short to get home. \r\n\r\nThe welcome pack was an absolute joke and more of an insult, I must add it wasn\u2019t there on arrival it came about 3 days into the break. \r\n\r\nTo finish on a good point the views from the property were amazing hence 2 stars."
