“We loved our stay at Furrow Lodge, Somerton. A very high spec holiday let. Clean, and modern. Furrow Lodge is not far from Yeovil, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury, all worth a visit. The Red Lion Inn is just under a mile walk down the road and provides a good choice of excellent food. We had everything we needed for a lovely restful stay and highly recommend you visit this lovely lodge.”

“We loved the location right by the chain ferry. Accommodation excellent with a very pleasant basket of groceries and wine. Kitchen well appointed with numerous pots and pans. Bedrooms comfortable and warm. First floor balcony offered spectacular views overlooking the harbour. Would happily recommend. We will return.”

“Fabulous cottage ! This was our second New year spent there . There is nothing I would change, the new bathroom has made it perfect. The EV charger is a real bonus. We will be back.”

“A beautiful place to stay. Everything was perfect. The cleanliness to all the amenities, the owners were so welcoming. A great location. We have stayed in so many cottages/lodges and we have never re-booked the same place until now. We will be back next New Year.”

“excellent cottage everything you need and beautifully clean and welcoming. The welcome pack was lovely and my granddaughter loved the hot tub but the most appreciative member of the family was our chocolate labrador who loved the underfloor heating in the conserrvatory . I cant recommend this property enough”

“We had an absolutely lovely Christmas week at Bishop’s Retreat cottage in Docking, North Norfolk. The property went beyond our expectations with it being even cosier than it promised from the description, yet more spacious and easily accommodating the 5 of us. The kitchen with dining table was just right to eat comfortably and still cook without any trouble. The large range cooker made it possible to cook all the many components of Christmas dinner simultaneously. It was a real pleasure and unexpected surprise to find very tasteful Christmas decorations had been put up in the living and kitchen areas - a lovely touch! The wood burning stove worked better than any I’ve had before and because we always choose a property with one we know how difficult and ineffective they can be! The enclosed garden we had especially chosen for our dog was lovely even at the time of year and I could tell it would be amazing in summer with the plants and shrubs it has. It was too cold to sit out at the garden table and chairs provided but in warmer weather it would be great for meals. A minor issue with one of the radiators on our arrival was resolved within an hour or so of reporting it to the owner, when a friendly and clearly extremely capable engineer attended and that was on Christmas Eve when it could easily have been a different story. We will certainly be back when visiting Norfolk as the location is ideal for a range of different excursions.”

“Aurora is a excellent house for a large family and dogs. Very comfortable, cosy and clean. Lovely welcome pack left for and decorated for Christmas. We were all there over the Christmas period, very well equipped kitchen, everything you could possibly need. Very warm property for saying it's a large house. Good quality bedding and towels. Tv's in all bedrooms except the 2 singles, probably because children sleeping in those rooms. Parking at rear for 2 small/medium cars, enclosed small garden, ideal for letting dogs out. Dog treats, bags, bowls, towels and toys supplied. We all had a lovely time, matlock bath and surrounding areas are lovely. A big thank you to Maureen and the team of cleaners, it was Perfect.”

“Good communication with Holiday Cottages, nice welcome gift in the cottage for our arrival. The cottage was lovely and we enjoyed our stay for Christmas, it was well equipped with everything we needed. The only change I would make & puts me off booking via holiday cottages is that you can’t make payments online as and when in the run up to your stay, I much prefer being able to do that rather than a chunk a few weeks before holiday. Other than that, everything was great.”

“Had a lovely, peaceful stay over Christmas at Remus. The cottage was clean, warm and inviting with everything we could need supplied. A wonderful welcome hamper containing a great selection of local produce was supplied on arrival. Our hosts, Dudley and Rachel, and their lovely dogs were absolutely charming and also decorated the cottage for Christmas for us which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay there again and recommend this to anyone who wants a peaceful break in the countryside. Easy booking and great communication made everything so simple.”

“The Cottage has lots of character , clean, everything you need . We had a lovely Christmas there, decorated for us too, lovely little touches . Thoughtful welcome pack and for the dogs. Great location , it was a great base. We would definitely return.”
