“In these extremely Dire and difficult Covid circumstances the guys at Gems Holiday - especially Jordan Mirza has proved to be a valuable member of your team. He helped me last year and again these year with trying to find the best deal for myself and my holiday buddy. “I was happy with the price and the flight/hotel were both very convenient. However, 20 minutes after booking online and paying the amount in full, a received a call to say the price had risen by around £90 due to “subject to availability” yet the exact holiday was still online for the exact same price. The lady then “went to talk to her manager” and came back to say she could “award the first price offered” - I just feel like they’re trying to rip people off who don’t realise the price should be fixed. Somewhat disappointing but would probably book with them again….”

Thank you for your comments. We would advise that there are sometimes when between the online booking and the actual confirmation that availability may change and can cause a fluctuation in costs. This is explained in detail on the website and in the Term and Conditions to which you agreed prior to submission. Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. No payment is taken until our client agrees to the new costs. A pre-authorisation only is held, and released immediately if no booking is confirmed. We d thank you for proceeding with the booking and hope that we shall, indeed, be able to assist in your future plans
