I thought I had done well finding the combination of my preferred room type at my desired hotel together with convenient flights via HolidayGems, as I couldn’t find this via more mainstream holiday companies. I was happy to pay around £200 extra to achieve this combination. What I didn’t realise was that it wasn’t a straight comparison as only a tiny cabin bag (40x39x20cm) was included, as opposed to a 23kg hold bag via Jet2 or similar on EasyJet holidays, and also transfers from and to the airport were not included either. Adding extra baggage (not as much as other companies provide) and transfers will add a further £220 to the total holiday cost. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

We do endeavour to make the process as simple as possible and bags and transfers are offered online as optional extras. The summary received immediately after submission of the online order would have shown any optional extras if chosen. We do regret that the addition of these extras incurred costs over which we have no control.

I was looking to book a holiday and tried various sites. A colleague recommended Holiday Gems. It was fantastic, very easy and very competitively priced. I've been in touch with the team with questions and they have been very helpful. Nathan was brilliant. I have recommended it to all my family and friends

Very poor service, price paid wasn't the true price also didn't have an option to add luggage so paid another £200 for that. Will never use again.

This appears to be an online order and no payment is taken when the order is submitted. The website gives full information of the process on every page of the order and this is reiterated in the Terms and Conditions to which you agreed when submitting the order. Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. Baggage is an optional extra and the charges are a matter over which we have no control.

Very poor service. Starts with online pricing not being correct and receiving a phone call requesting further £75. The travel documents were had the wrong flight details and they then overcharged £100. One week later still not received the refund. Avoid.

Richard absolutely made my evening. He was extremely helpful, honest and reassuring during the course of my booking. I was recently swindled by another company and was very reluctant to book again but Richard made it all worthwhile. I had lots of specifics that I needed met and he got everything to tee. Thank you to Richard and Holiday Gems for giving my family and I a summer to look forward too!

After missing are flight due to an accident alot of people lost their flights,the easy key team where brilliant but holiday gems after contacting them were very abrupt were not helpful at all,are transfir were disgusting firstly being told that we had no transfir die to the bus being full this is after we had paid so we then had to pay again,this is outrageous.we will be emailing to the top manager of holiday gems to claim for the 2 days we lost and the extra money we had to pay again for transfirs

We do empathise with the issues raised and on receipt of your call, our staff endeavoured to ensure that your hotel booking was retained and additionally advised that it was impossible due to the supplier regulations that we were unable to amend the transfer. This was a matter over which we had no control. Under the circumstances, any losses would need to be claimed from your travel insurance.

Richard and the lady agent i spoke to with regards to my booking have gone above and beyond in sorting my booking successfully with the very best in customer service and compassion. Excellent customer care and thoughtfulness with regards to getting the very best for the customers needs.
