Unfortunately HolidayGems the 5* rating i was going to award you with went down the toilet when i lost a days all inclusive due to your booking method. My wife & i booked to fly late on Sunday 15/05/22 so obviously we didn't arrive at our accommodation until 5am on the 16/05/22.On arrival at our hotel we went to check in & the desk gentleman couldn't find our reservation as HolidayGems had given information that i was from Dubai & had an address to that effect ! He pointed out to us that we were a day late & should have been there on the 15/05/22;i explained to his dismay & ours too that we flew late on that date & our booking should obviously begin from the 16th. Once we got that matter understood we finally checked into our room. On the day of our departure we had to leave our room at 11am(standard procedure i know),however at that point they wanted to cut our all inclusive bands & end everything then & there! We pointed out that we had only received 5 full days AI & that mornings breakfast but had paid for 6 full days AI. YOU as the holiday booking company need to sort this kind of problem,just because a flight leaves late at night it obviously doesn't mean your hotel booking will start on the same day!

Thank you for your comments, Mr Fawcett. We do not contract directly with the hotel and the address received by the hotel was that of the suppliers head office. It is most surprising that the hotel, which has many thousands of bookings made in the same way from many agents would find this peculiar on your booking. When a flight arrives in resort in the very early hours of the morning, the accommodation is always booked for the night before to ensure that you are able to access the room immediately and have access to all facilities. . If the room had been booked from the day of arrival you would have had to wait until 1400-1500 for check in with no access to any facilities, meals or drinks. Not a ideail situation after a long flight. This is also a process of which the hotel is aware. Whilst we appreciate that the process may have been confusing to you, we can assure you that the booking is made to ensure your comfort from arrival and not some 9-10 hours later. Check out time is applied worldwide and to avoid any inconvenience you can request a late check out which is granted at the hotel's convenience and on availability. We do hope that, despite the issue raised, you were able to have a great holiday

HolidayGems and Customer Support was very good. Unfortunately the hotel was not. It is described as 5 star luxury but it was nothing more than 3 star. Visitors beware - Ramada Resort, Side is not 5 star and is quite a distance from Side. I suggest HolidayGems revise their rating or remove the hotel from their listing. I was originally allocated an outhouse (which was probably meant for staff use) but even that was not prepared for guests as you will see from the videos. I did not want to accept it but the night Receptionist (male) was not helpful and said he couldn’t do anything about it and that I should sort it out with the travel agency or their rep. I had to wait till lunchtime of the following day to be moved to the hotel building and whilst I was relieved to get out of the smelly hut, the hotel room itself could not be described as anywhere near 5 star. I’ve been to Turkey before and stayed in 5star accommodation as well as 3-4 star places. I would rank this place as 3 star. Apart from the male night Receptionist, the rest of the staff were helpful. The facilities were ok; food was nice; the beach was around 10-15mins walk via an uneven track road but a free shuttle was available. Side, the main town is 40 mins via dolmus (80p/ 12TL each way) or quicker by taxi (18 Euros) I would definitely visit Side again but would avoid this hotel. (PS I tried to upload a more illustrative video but the portal did not support) HolidayGems agent was very helpful and I was pleased with booking process but subsequent email communication took far too long, hence the low rating.

We do apologise for any inconvenience. We do not appear to have received any contact from resort on our emergency telephone number shown on your booking documents. This did deny us the opportunity to resolve the issue immediately which may have resulted in a more positive outcome. The hotel is rated as 5* and enjoys a very good rating on review sites. We do hope, that despite the issues raised, you were able to enjoy your holiday.

This was my first interaction with Holiday gems and at first I wasn’t sure but then I got a call from Nathan who was super helpful and knowledgeable and understood what our needs were from the get go. He was honest and full of information and made our transaction enjoyable and stress free. I recommend asking for Nathan he won’t disappoint.

I always used holiday gems before lock down and just booked again staff are so helpful and informative about locations just had a call off Richard to discuss my upcoming trip to Portugal he has gone the extra mile as usual 👍

The booking process online was simple and effective which made booking our holiday very quick and easy and then Richard who I dealt with over the phone was tops. Good vibe from him and was very straight to the point about what was required and sorted our problems easily and if I was to have any other problems I would defo like them to be sorted by him.

Website easy to use and prices really competitive however be careful not to fall into trap of thinking you have bagged a cheap holiday as highly likely you will receive a call shortly after booking online to inform the price has gone up and will cost you considerably more, basically some of the holiday prices don’t exist it’s false advertising, and I had a conversation with a Team Leader who confirmed this.

This appears to be an online order and no payment is taken when the order is submitted. The website gives full information of the process on every page of the order and this is reiterated in the Terms and Conditions to which you agreed when submitting the order. Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price due to changes in availability or costs, we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. No payment is taken until our client agrees to the new costs. A pre-authorisation only is held, and released immediately if no booking is confirmed. We do endeavour to make the process as transparent as possible, including the information provided o the summary sent immediately on submission of the order. Thank you for proceeding with the booking and we trust you will have an amazing holiday.

Stuart Brownson well done put my mind at ease, and explained how HolidayGems work, now happy to give a perfect score as it shows you do want good reviews and for that reason, I feel although I did not talk to a human and everything was done online pushing buttons, I am now happy..... fingers crossed. After the holiday would be a better time to write a review BUT BOOKING THE HOLIDAY TOP MARKS

We note that this was an online booking without agent input. However, we have noted the comments and a sales agent has called you. The after sales team number is not a premium number and may only incur charges as per your personal call plan for both mobile and land line supplier.

Went with them several times a few years ago and was very happy then so tried them again and I was not disappointed really good sales team find you the best deals
