Have stayed at 3 different holiday let's managed by H&S. All have been beautifully decorated and very clean. Booking is easy once you have passed the one time ID checks. Price clear and comparable with similar properties. Now will always be our go to co for stays in North East.

We have stayed at the Host and Stay Garden Apt. in Harrogate now on x 4 separate occasions. It's a modern, contemporary property with off street parking for x 2 cars (always a bonus in Harrogate!) The Apt. is very clean, comfortable and a veritable 'home from home' ideally located with a short 5 min. stroll into the town centre, with all of its restaurants, shops and visitor attractions. With one en suite, to the master bedroom, and a second bathroom, the Garden Apt. is perfect for a family of 4 with both bedrooms having a flat screen TV to supplement the one in the roomy living space. Superb modern kitchen with every amenity, this accommodation is a really superb holiday property find, but don't tell anyone! We can't wait to return for a 5th time!

My husband and I stayed at The Salt Nook in Whitby. The customer care we received from Host and Stay was amazing. I was so impressed by the gentle reminders we received leading up to the stay, and what topped it all off especially was that we received a link with loads of different places to eat, things to do, places to park, what to do upon checking in etc. We also got a card that enabled us to park in multiple places around the town without having to pay. I had quite a few questions both prior to, and during our stay and we always received prompt and helpful responses! The quality and cleanliness of the home was also perfect. It truly was 5 Star service from start to finish. Thank you so much to Host and Stay!

We have stayed with host & stay twice now and found price, cleanliness and customer service to be excellent. From start to finish it was a great experience. We stayed at The Townhouse Whitby.

We stayed at 1 Glenholme in Redcar. This is the second time we have stayed there and we found the apartment to be very clean and tidy. It does lack a toaster and we did have problems reserving 2 parking places as there was 2 families staying from different locations. On contacting them this was finally resolved. We were pleased with the apartment and will probably stay again.

Very nicely kept appartment with great views. I think perhaps it had only recently been done and there were a couple of essentials missing from the kitchen like chopping boards but other than that it was brilliant. Host and stay staff very attentive and helpful too. Thanks

Not happy that a few weeks after booking the arrival time was changed to 4pm, would really put me off booking a short break with this company again. I had to contact them several times before our arrival ( to ask if we could arrive at 3pm as originally advertised and also book an extra night)and although they always promised to get back to me they didn't. I must add that all their properties I have stayed in have been perfect.

Host and Stay complicate the booking process with a bureaucratic, hostile and unwelcoming process which threatens cancellation of a fully paid up stay if you don’t comply - not the welcome you might expect !! I’ll avoid them at all costs now - claiming to act in owners best interests and assuming in requesting sly damage waivers/ deposits after you’ve paid, that all guests intend wrecking the place !

We had many problems with host and stay especially with very poor communication and customer service from the staff at the office. The property we booked in Saltburn was a ground floor flat in a dilapidated looking building with workmen fixing the balcony above. The flat felt cold on arrival and lacked any coziness with laminated flooring throughout and no rugs or soft furnishings. General air of neglect with tired decor, and areas of damp on wall in dining kitchen. Lighting was glaringly over bright in sitting room and dining area with no lamps. On arrival we noticed the wall mounted tv was coming away from the wall and alerted the office who sent a technician. He couldn’t fix it that day so we had no tv for two of our three night stay. On the day of our departure the electricity cut off suddenly while we were still showering and packing up, leaving two guests in pitch darkness in the two bathrooms. We couldn’t make hot drinks etc. I called the office to be later told the owner needed to add credit to the meter. I was asked to go out in the back yard (very unsavoury with rubbish strewn about and shared with another apartment) to reset the meter. With all the chaos on leaving we left two items at the property and when I asked for these to be sent was told I’d be charged £15. Despite paying this the company still made a mess of sending the items getting the address wrong so it didn’t arrive. Throughout the experience their communications were muddled with a different person responding each time to my emails which then led to staff not being aware of what had already been agreed. I do not recommend this company and was very disappointed with their responses throughout.
