I have been ordering from HOF for over 5 years while living in Greece and never had a problem. As of lately they decided to change shipping courier and use a free one in Greece but still charging me £16 delivery. As expected i have 2 parcels missing since 23rd September. There is no contact number for customer services just automatic answering script as a response. Terrible customer services. Still no refund so i am going through Paypal now.

Numerous occasions almost every order there either an item missing or very slow process waiting for order to be delivered emails enquiries dont receive replies from and the online chat just repeats itself over and over again "how busy they are".It just infuriates me that know one working therehave any customer service training.

Ordered 2 items in August for grand-daughter birthday in October - 1 item received. When trying to query just get chatbox saying order delivered - why can we not speak to anybody

Placed order on Sunday. Didn’t bother letting me know it had gone out of stock til Wednesday. No gesture of apology for the inconvenience caused. Not a good experience.

Parcel missing over a weel now showing ops. Frasers chatbot disconnects you after 5 mins no contact number. I have had to mail them in the hope they refund me. Very frustrating!!!!!!

Absolutely appalling customer service. It is basically a chatbot trying to get rid of queries and IF you eventually get through to an actual person which is unlikely they will take around 10 days per message to reply! I ordered 2 items on 21st September and paid for fast delivery and am still waiting for one of the items (17 days later!) Been promised a £15 voucher for inconvenience over 10 days ago and still nothing. Absolutely shocking service and will look at my consumer rights and make a complaint as not good enough!

Let you order items that are not in stock and then never tell you they are not in stock but just leave your order on stage 1 of 3 for week... Message them to be told you can wait or get refunded, well if I wanted to wait when will I receive my item??? who knows? They will not even tell you when its due back in or anything, happy to take your money and sit on it but will not inform you the items you have ordered are not in stock unless you ask about your order!

Shocking customer service. Returned two items and only received a refund for one. It takes them over a week to respond to each email and they have now refused to refund the other item and are insinuating I’m attempting to commit fraud. STAY AWAY

After falling victim to this online scam, I was at a loss on how to retrieve my stolen funds. Would never use them again. Placed an online order in august and it’s never been seen. Emailing them and 3 different conversions.. one is they have never refunded my order even with proof of purchase, next one was it was ready to be dispatched and when i chased it up again they asked for my proof of purchase and then said they had no history of the order and there’s nothing we can do’ they have basically took my money and i have nothing to show for it. Avoid.

The online service is terrible l have contacted customer services by email only as you cannot speak with a person. I have completed the form as requested and have not yet had a reply back from them this is now 8 days later. I have not had my parcel delivery despite the courier company Evri stating on their tracker that it was delivered? Evri cannot provide any proof of delivery when requested on the chat service, no proof is provided because there isn't any as its not been delivered? I cannot speak to a person ate either house of Fraser or Evri l am starting to think it is a combined scam going on with them? I am currently left waiting with no parcel that l have paid for and no response from house of Fraser or Evri? I strongly advise please do not order anything from this company as you may end up like me with no parcel and it looks like l have lost my money and delivery charge as nobody gets back and all my emails have been ignored.

Absolute nightmare and borderline scammers. Ordered a wardrobe from House of Fraser, waited weeks for delivery, only to receive the wrong items and missing parts. When I reached out for help, they refused to fix their mistake and told me to dismantle the furniture myself! Their customer service is a joke - delays, no accountability, and now I’m stuck with useless furniture. I’m literally being forced to file complaints with consumer authorities because they won't take responsibility. Avoid House of Fraser if you value your time and money. They’ll waste both.

I ordered an item from this company, and to my dismay, it arrived covered in dirt smudges. I reached out to customer service, who assured me I could either get a replacement by sending a picture of my return receipt or take a discount and keep the item. Since I really wanted the item, I opted for the replacement, naturally. When I followed their instructions and sent the picture of my parcel return receipt, I was shocked to receive a denial. They then lied about the item being out of stock, despite it being clearly shown as available on their website. When I pointed this out, they shifted the goalposts, claiming it was the size that was out of stock—even though it was the exact size I ordered, which was still available for purchase online! The worst part is that instead of owning up to their mistake or even treating me with respect, they dismissed me completely. Customer service told me to wait for a refund and then rudely cut off the chat, as if I was some nuisance they couldn’t be bothered with. Then came the most appalling discovery—I checked my card statement, and there was an additional charge for the item! The first payment had gone through PayPal, but this second one had no notification from PayPal, meaning the company had somehow charged my card directly without authorization. Extremely suspicious and borderline fraudulent! Not only did they break their promise of a replacement, but they also showed a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic customer care. To add insult to injury, the company seems to be involved in highly questionable billing practices. I will never trust them again and strongly advise others to steer clear!

Catfished into buying a heavily discounted item that had a £20 delivery charge. Thought I got an amazing deal. However, after waiting 3 weeks with no contact I reached out to House of Fraser and turns out the item is out of stock, I was then told I would be refunded for the item. However, they do not refund delivery fees..... The item (Childs Wooden Kitchen) that is out of stock is still online at a heavy discount I believe with the sole purpose of making customers order it and then refund them keeping the £20 oversized delivery fee..... had 3 chat service people disconnect chats and no response to emails when I highlight how insane this is!

Bad company employing unprofessional person which do not treat customers well. The store manager named Tania for the store in centrale isn't enough specialised and professional in having any case regarding customer in an equality way. When there for a purchased and payment was done but their till freeze and no invoice was printed. I checked my payment and it went through but I was asked to pay again so that I can take the products I have already paid,which is ridiculous. Furthermore she simply say nothing can be done even after a spoke with my bank and showing my proof of payment which is unacceptable. The level of stupidity and lack of professionalism when someone just walk away without trying to solve a problem which is from the store. I try to voice out that I need to get the product I paid for I was ignored and she just disappeared. What is the kind of people House of Fraser is employing without proper manner how to handle customer who add value to the company.

I ordered 2 Barbour Coats using House of Fraser size guides. Coats which arrived were both a good 8 inches wider than size guide and drowned me. So I contacted House of Fraser and asked for coats of actual size to be sent in replacement. Customer Service was terrible. I was okay with having to send size details and photos of labels, but having to send repeated emails, to people who were clearly not reading what I had written in last email, was beyond frustrating. I said all along that I just wanted replacements, but they ignored that. I asked for a free returns label, that alone took 3 emails to achieve. I repeatedly said that if they were refunding that I should get the original postage fee back, they ignored that. I’ve had to chase and chase and chase. Their customer service is clearly not in the UK. It is horrendous. First time I’ve ordered from House of Fraser and will be the last. This review doesn’t do justice to how terrible their customer service is and how hard it is to return something. I ordered on 28th May and taken till 18th August to sort out a return. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Complete utter shambles. No phone numbers and email complaints take forever. No option to discuss problem on website.. eventually used chat but got absolutely nowhere. Indian call centre. Ordered robes with initials to get added. Never got option to add and now saying processed for delivery. Not what I ordered. No help whatsoever. Advised to return and charging delivery for there mistake. Since sports direct took over frasers has hone downhill rapidly. Losing loyal customers. I for one will not use again. Avoid at all costs.

Never again will I shop at House of Fraser after the most appalling service. Ordered an item of clothing for a birthday gift and unfortunately it didn’t fit. Over 28 days had passed so I contacted customer services who kindly agreed I could return the item late for a voucher only which was fine with me as I just wanted to order the next size up. I paid my own return postage and returned the item unworn/unused, neatly folded, tags still attached and in the original packaging with my invoice. I then received an email to say my item had been rejected because it was worn/used and was stained. This is impossible since the item didn’t even fit! I received the item back and I was absolutely disgusted when I opened the parcel. The £90 item of clothing had been crumpled up, marked, tags removed and thrown back into a parcel bag, outside of the original packaging without my invoice. I am a working professional with high standards and morals and I wouldn’t dream of returning a used/worn item. I am so angry they have accused me of returning the item in this state when it was a member of their warehouse staff who purposely did this to get out of issuing a voucher. My complaint is ongoing as they have stopped replying to my emails, and if management don’t deal with this appropriately I will be sharing my experience on every social media platform possible and with the press to warn people about this, and I will be taking House of Fraser to a small claims court. Reading other reviews it seems lots of others have had similar experiences. What on earth has happened to what used to be a reputable company!? Disgusting, greedy, fraudulent scammers who need investigating and shutting down! Avoid like the plague!!!!
