I had recently ordered an item from their website for delivery and they had taken quite some time to contact me back in regards to where it is and why i did not receive the item despite paying for next day delivery. When they did contact me they did provide help however again it did take quite some time for me to get my money back. Avoid!

HOF Plymouth: SO much potential VERY little effort! What a shame , this department store should be the pride of Plymouth like it is in Bristol, instead its a sad, unloved, uncared for miserable shop and some of the staff too, particularly the ladies at the men's department! Invest so money, choose better collection, refurbish all changing rooms with hooks and chairs and away from the till! The changing room in the mens department by the till is simply a joke, first of all you get looked at with a suspicious look and when asking for help you get "the look of Eva Braun" from the cashier! This department store could be the heart of our city. Do your display windows and remove all decals its tacky for god sake you have SO much incredible items to display, You should have the best window display in Plymouth. And the restaurant !!! its like a seen of "Dinnerladys" , a very very tired decor, scene of the Blitz , a huge empty space!!! What is wrong with you people don't you have any vision? This is a premium position with a incredible view! It is so sad that in England the owners of all those big department stores have no interest, no vision and are incapable of managing these kind of stores. Your customers don't want to buy online, we want to touch, to feel, to enjoy a day out shopping... think about it.. And start by removing the delivery charge when your customer orders online and go and pick up the item themselves at your stores! This is outrageous! YOUR customer make his way to YOUR store after purchasing online and you charge them for it?!!! This is a very very bad management decision. Date of experience: 10 September 2023

It’s Disgusting that Mike Ashley is trading his company on the house of frazer name No refunds on in store items 4.99 delivery plus 4.99 to return House of frazer never traded like this. Should have let the company go into liquidation rather than give this rogue a good name to trade his way on . I can’t see that I’ll be shopping with him again

I got 170 with of stuff sent it back to them kept a pair of shoes at 6 pounds they are charging me 41 pounds I got no help what so ever can someone help

Guildford store is run down. Changing rooms are absolutely filthy and when I went to use one the Mint Velvet staff member was very rude telling me no more than 3 items...went to another changing room and I was allowed 5 ! Very short staffed ! Took me ages to find someone to help.

Tried to buy a pair of shoes for a wedding size uk 11. The box says 11 and the shoes were UK size 10. I sent them back and ordered another pair. I’m sure it’s the same box as again they were boxed as 11 but we’re again size 10. My parents ordered for me and that box too had size 10’s in a box marked 11 and the shoes were clearly worn before hand. Now I can’t get them before the wedding Ahaaaa. Maybe I should have rated it 1 star

Poor customer service from managers. Stock that doesn't scan with correct prices, or doesn't scan at all... and then staff have to run around the store to find a supervisor to help them. All the time the customer is waiting sometimes 10 or 15mins... waiting for help. The store is like a ghost town as hardly anyone shops there now! So you'd think the managers would have plenty time to provide good customer service... rather than getting defensive with customers when they (rightly) complain! Personally I would shop somewhere else in future!

Assistant with long dark hair served me today on the Clinique counter in the Maidstone branch. I believe she works on the Benefit Counter. Her mask was underneath her chin. She said wearing a mask all day makes her feel hot. I understand that but she should at least slip her mask on properly when serving people who are often vulnerable. She wasn't exactly rushed off her feet.

House of Fraser charging for returns & not being able to return to the store is unacceptable. I will think twice buying on-line from house of Fraser again. I ordered shoes & needed larger size quickly paid £7,50 delivery twice & £6 to return one pair on a £59 pair of shoes, not happy.

Customer service agent ( chat) are rude and unhelpful. Spoke to someone called Sian who made me feel like I was lying over a delivery not received. Awful experience. She needs retraining.

The quality of goods was very good, however having to pay for postage, even though I spent over £100, then having to pay to return one of the t-shirts is not acceptable.

I found a good selection of brands and clothes. However, no free delivery and no free returns. I paid a total of £9 to try on a dress that arrived extremely wrinkled. Never again

Don't bother visiting their stores - their products can be over £20 cheaper online. They can only refund store bought in store you can't return any other way. Wonder why the high street is dying?

When clothes are so dramatically undersized I feel cheated when I have paid £4.99 for delivery and then also have to pay to return them will think twice about ordering from you in future!
