“The service has not been the great. No explanation as to why I was given a refund.”

“Not impressed that such a massive company do not offer returns, you have to raise your own return and cover postage costs, when did this happen?! I swear you always offered returns before. The item received was covered in deodorant marks from someone else already trying it on which is not only unhygienic but unacceptable given the cost of the item, do you not have quality control teams?”

“I had ordered trousers of exactly same size Now you have send me different sizes When I tried to reach out to customer services they said they do not speak over the phone and I have to discuss this on the phone as my emails and conversations are going no were”

“General lack of staff . No availability to order instore. Eight pounds for delivery, and told if the dress is no good , I would need to pay to send it back... or take it to the store but I would only get a credit note.”

“I am annoyed at the length of time it takes to get a delivery and that when I order something it gets cancelled. I have returned items and received a credit note rather than a refund for no apparent reason and when queried it, have received no reply. I am annoyed I have to pay for returns - you don't anywhere else. I don't think I will be ordering from HoF for a while. There are better deals out there and free returns.”

“Ordered a fascinator for a wedding, it was packaged in a postal bag instead of a box with no padding despite having paid £4.99 for delivery. As a result it arrived broken, with the hairband detached from the headpiece. In order to return it I would have to pay for postage to send it back, and then reclaim this. Very poor service.”

“Have had to pay for delivery in the first instance, they are the wrong size so, I also have to also pay to return! Not good really is it? Could print a return label for Hermes and all is resolved so, why not?”

“I like shopping here but last time i ordered one of the t shirt had a tag attached and the hole were visible on the t shirt. I sent a email to them and to this day no reply yet.”

“The security tag was still on one of the shirts and the size was incorrect on another. I had to pay postage to return when definitely not my fault! Returns were quick though, just annoying to have to pay postage.”

“Ordered a Barbour jacket in Large (my normal size) and paid £7.99 delivery. It was too small so returned it (cost £9.00) Ordered XL and paid £7.99 delivery (too big) returned it £11.00. So now I am £36.00 out of pocket and still no jacket........”

“Board games arrived in just a vinyl bag, no packing - one of four damaged. All had horrible large price stickers (covered end of each smallish box) which didn't peel off easily and when they did carefully come o, they left a horrible residue. Had to resort to neat tea tree oil to get as much of it off as possible, but despite brilliant quality of the manufacturers product, some fading to the print on the game boxes. House of Fraser made a beautiful game ungiftable and tacky (literally). I'd have to pay for return postage (own coarse labels not a 'fault') so the games will go to a charity shop, and I'll buy replacements elsewhere. Very disappointed.”

“Be careful HOF think it is acceptable to charge more on the website! Received an item which had been reduced but paid a higher price on website :( so unfortunately 2 stars for thinking this is how customers should be treated!”
