“Ordered 3 for noise reduction in my bedroom. My windows are over 100 years old and local historic preservation will not allow replacements. I worked with Reed on my order and received the windows in Nov 22. I love them! They fit perfectly and work as advertised. The noise level dropped tremendously. I plan to order 4 more soon. Definitely recommend.”

“I bought the inserts to reduce traffic noise in my bedroom. Although the sounds are slightly diminished, it is really not that much of a difference. I am especially surprised because I have very deep windows and have a good two inches between the glass and the inserts. I thought these were the ideal conditions to reduce noise with the inserts.”

Rene, We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you were expecting. We will reach out to ensure that all fit concerns are addressed. Because every sound environment is unique, other variables may be in play other than the sound traveling through the window areas. Sometimes, other soundproofing techniques must be used in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired sound reduction.

“We have had the inserts in for about 4 weeks and have experienced some cold Iowa weather with windy conditions. These windows are North side of our home. In the past we placed an electric oil radiator in front of the windows to warm the cold air seeping in. With the "Indows" in place, no auxiliary heater is needed. So far, very happy. And, they look great!”

“Our 20 year old WI home has cheap vinyl windows. Rather than do the major spend to replace them, we ordered (3) Indows for the windows creating the most issues (especially in winter). We have just installed these - the difference they have made is just AMAZING! The window spaces are "out of square", and have slightly bowed sills; and the Indows silicone frame COMPLETELY filled any gaps - no more drafts, room temps are better too!. This was a very good spend - highly recommend Indows as a solution option for bad windows. The Indows process to purchase and customer service and support were excellent as well!”

Mike, Thanks for the review and thanks for the pic. Many folks find these a valuable option to the expense of replacing windows. As you noted, our inserts are custom made and sized to fit window areas that are not square. It turns out that most window situations have a fair bit of variance. Our system is set up to provide inserts to match the shape and create the seal you mention. As we pride ourselves on every aspect of the process from design to delivery, we certainly appreciate your positive feedback.

“They're heavier than we expected but fit beautifully. Storing them when not using will be a challenge to keep them from bending. All in all very happy with them.”

Kathleen, We are happy to hear the inserts are in and fit beautifully. Our design aims at lightweight insert with no compromise on durability. Larger inserts can be a bit heavier than expected and can occasionally require a second person for safe install. We have provided storage and handling guidelines with the order. When these are adhered to, the issues of and bending are easily mitigated. They are designed to be with you and your house for the years to come.

“We needed a sound barrier in our sunroom. We have Eze-Breeze windows in our sunroom and we did not want to hear our next-door neighbors when they are in their yard. We did not expect the Indow inserts to block sounds completely. We were happily surprised when we received them. Even with just vinyl windows from ceiling to floor, you cannot hear any sound in the sunroom now! They were very easy to order. The Indow team is extremely helpful and customer oriented. The inserts are also easy to install. It is one of the best investments we made. We noticed that the inserts help with insulation as well, although we have them only on one of the three walls that have the Eze-Breeze windows. If your neighbors are a bit noisy, don't exhitate to buy the inserts. It is money very well spent!”

“Do Not! work with this company. They are rude and are not upfront on charges! I returned a measurement kit that I had to PAY for and when then processed the refund they took $50.00 for service fees! They did nothing except send a kit out to measure my window! When I got the notification for the refund I called and the people at the company that I spoke to told me that it was their policy. When I reported that NO ONE told me I would be charged a $50 fee if I decided against the product they didn't care! BUYER BEWARE! You don't see samples of the product UNTIL you pay for the measuring kit! If you decide against the product you pay $50!”

Thanks for the feedback. We are very sorry that you feel your experience was not optimal. We strive to be clear in both written and verbal interaction about the measuring kit deposit. While our records show that this was indeed communicated to you, we are sorry you feel it was not made clear. The deposit is taken for the laser measuring kit to cover shipping and the cost if the customer should lose the kit. This deposit is applied as a credit if the order goes forward. If the order is not place the service fee is charged to cover the shipping expenses to and from the location as well as brief processing time. The laser measuring device is optional, as accurate tape measurements can be made as well. Samples can be sent out independently of the laser measurement kit at no cost to the customer. We are sorry that you were not clear on that, but hope that this response allows others to know the process. It is also worth noting that in your case, the laser measurement device was in your possession for 3 months, far longer than customary allotted time to complete the measurements and return the kit. During this 3 months, we reached out multiple times on several different channels to assist with measuring and offer guidance about the process. We received no responses during this time to our communications. We take great pride both in the product we offer and the services we provide. While we are indeed sorry that you feel aggrieved, we feel that we have been clear throughout the process and have done our due diligence to offer assistance and clarity.

“The product is great. I would like to see the measurement process changed. It should be laser measured only, the hand measure is not accurate enough. Even the laser measure needed the assistance of an Indow staff to get 4 of the windows right. I almost gave up because the measure process was so cumberson.”

“Run as far as you can. After being charged almost as much to ship the product as the cost of the product itself, they dropped off the face of the planet. The order apparently arrived in our area, had some kind of transport issue, and we never got a straight answer weeks later. Now customer service just won’t responding and I’m exploring options to get my money back for fraud. Just DO NOT do business with this company.”

We certainly understand your frustration. We are frustrated with this experience as well. The state of the shipping industry is extremely strained and this situation was certainly extreme. While we manufactured and sent on schedule, extended delays caused by the shippers and misinformation given to us by the shipping companies involved have created this issue. While we have been responding promptly and doing our best to communicate the information and updates we have been given, we understand the impact that the delay and the lack of clarity of the updates has had on you. As a small company, we have built our success on excellent service from the first contact onward. It is difficult when the industries that we rely on to get our product safely to our customers prevent us from meeting that standard. We certainly understand that this situation is not the way things should go and will continue to monitor this until it is safely delivered.

“Excellent, as expected. The less unexpected included: dealing with multiple (very available) Indow folks, each specializing in a stage; good appearance, low weight, and flexible borders of insets; heavy packaging delivered to the foot of our long drive in Canada. At times, how to access instructions was not obvious. The lack of heft meant that I could install large insets by myself. We are pleased and would do it again without question.”

“They work very well. Sound level from the street was lowered way down to make it barely noticeable. My complaint is the lead time to get them made is 7 weeks and the cost. I’m going to have to create my own sound screen with another 7 or 8 windows to go”

We have made steady improvement in these regards as supply chain issues have eased. Our current lead times have dropped to 4-6 weeks from date of order. Many DIY solutions have indeed proven effective and we wish you well in these pursuits. I will note that many DIYers return to us when they cannot recreate the performance and elegance of our design. “My window inserts significantly reduced road noise and have improved my sleep. Phil and the whole team were great throughout the entire process. I never felt pressured to buy.
