“Excellent product, will buy more. We have a house on Cape Cod built in 1800. We love the old glass and cafe windows but need storms to insulate. Because the beautiful old windows open out, traditional exterior storms were challenging. These went in easily and the fit is perfect. We intend to order more for other windows too! Really great idea and solution for us.”

Thanks for the review - it's always a pleasure to hear how easily and perfectly the custom sizes fit, but also that we're an excellent alternative to exterior storm windows that can often be clunky and bulky based on how your windows open. We're happy to hear it's been working out and are looking forward to insulating the rest of your home!

“Our house was instantly more comfortable AND quiet! Our heat runtime was 25 hours less this January than last year despite colder temperatures, a true indication of the Indow inserts effectiveness! We have also been able to increase the humidity without condensation and ice buildup on the windows.”

“I ordered 17 inserts for single-pane windows in my 1893 home. The inserts arrived in excellent condition, were easy to install, and fit beautifully. My pre-installation monthly utility bill was $487; the first post-installation bill is $343! I am thrilled at the savings and enjoying my warmer home.”

“The Indow team was helpful from start to finish. Very responsive. The measuring process was easy. Watched the various YouTube videos by Indow for assistance. Don't assume "identical windows" have identical measurements. I was too lazy to uninstall curtain hardware from a difficult-to-access window that looked identical to three others. I measured inaccurately. Insert ended up being short on one side, but completely my fault. I added a strip of insulation there. All others fit perfectly. Arrived earlier than expected and packed to transport safely. Noticed an immediate drop in outdoor noise (live adjacent to the highway). No drafts or heat escaping during the extreme cold this past weekend. Happy with the purchase.”

Karin, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We hold ourselves to high standards in all steps in the customer process so it is great to hear that our efforts are being recognized. Thanks for mentioning the not about "identical" windows. In our many years, we know that few, if any window openings are the same. That is why the measuring process has checks and balances built within it to help ensure accuracy. While the design of the product accommodates/calculates for a fair amount of variance, there is indeed no substitute for accurate measurements. We are happy that the inserts have brought the quiet and comfort that you were seeking. Thanks again for the feedback.

“We wanted to give ourselves a few months with our new sound blocking inserts in order to provide a solid review. Our bow window let in road noise so that it was difficult to relax in our den. It was also very drafty. No more! Yes, we can still hear vehicles going by on the busy road we live on. But our guess is the noise is roughly 70% less. Many cars we can’t hear at all, others not so much. Engine braking remains an unpleasant thing but we didn’t expect the inserts to stop that noise - or all noise. So we’re very pleased! The side benefit that we didn’t anticipate being as nice as it is is the fact that they really stopped the air infiltration. Right now it’s -13F outside with strong winds. There is no movement of the curtains, no feeling of cold air flowing into the room (at least now from the window!!). They are high quality. Well made. Perfect fit. The entire experience from start to finish was just great. I’ve recommended them to our neighbors and other friends who are in the construction business. Honestly worth every penny. Our home is so much quieter, calmer…warmer. Thanks for a great product and customer focused business!”

Thanks for the review. "quieter, calmer ... warmer" That is almost our mission statement in a nutshell. We truly appreciate your business and are happy that our mission has been able to make such a significant change in your home. We especially appreciate the mention of draft reduction. Obviously, this is a key component in the energy savings equation, but drafts do effect more than just the energy transfer in the house. Things feel much different when drafts are reduced of eliminated. I guess one would call it the "cozy" coefficient. Thanks again for taking the time to leave feedback.

“Decibel reading prior to install of as 34.4 (World health organization advises to have decent sleep should be below 30) after install reading was 32.1 so a two decibel reduction. Fit was good install was easy.”

We will reach out to you and ensure fit and placement is not affecting the performance. As all sound situations are unique, there are many variables that can contribute to sound entering a room. While our inserts have been proven independently to significantly reduce sound through the window openings, it is sometimes necessary to utilize other soundproofing measures in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results. Variables such as wall and home construction materials and the proximity and nature of the sound can be at play and can transfer sounds through areas other than the windows. Low frequency sounds are especially hard to mitigate as they can be transferred through walls, etc. Once again, we are happy to help you maximize the performance of your inserts and will reach out accordingly. It is our hope that through some troubleshooting, we can improve the sound reduction.

“I live on the sixth floor of a condo complex surrounded by concrete buildings. I formerly could hear full conversations going on at ground level. Now I have minimal noise and what I do hear is muted and completely tolerable.”

“These things solved our condensation problems completely. We've had a handful of below-zero days and no condensation on any of the windows we bought Indows for. We'll have to take them out come spring and I'm not looking forward to that nor trying to store them safely until next winter. The one thing we didn't like was the delivery. We received emails telling us that the delivery truck would stop at the curb and we were responsible for moving them from the street to the house. I'm almost 80 and couldn't manage that with my wife so I asked my son to take a day off work. Well when the truck arrived the driver used a pallet jack and move the package to our garage without us even asking him to do it. That's bad! The package had some external damage but not the Indows.”
