“I am happy that the window inserts help lower noise level from an outside busy street, but not as good as I thought they would. I've decided to have dual pane windows added to the indow inserts to help reduce more noise as it is still too much noise.”

“We bought the acoustic inserts for our baby’s room. It does wonders when landscaping crews and our daughter somehow happen to sync schedules. Thank you Indow, you don’t how helpful and amazing it is to find a product that helps stresses out parents find the quiet they need for nap time.”

“Had my window inserts for a few weeks now and I am very impressed by how much they have suppressed the sound outside! I am less than 20 feet from the road and there is a lot of traffic on the street near my apartment with people walking by and cars coming and going. I would hear people having conversations as they were walking by and realized I had no privacy in my room. Now that I have the window inserts, I no longer hear outdoor conversations and hardly hear cars (only supped up ones or a bus exhaust). I turned on my sweeper and couldn't hear it when I went and stood outside my bedroom window. I would recommend window inserts for anyone living in a city and having noise pollution creep into their apartments or homes!”

“Use of your electronic laser was no better than my using a tape measure. After using the laser at least 5 times to repeat accuracy of measurement, the window is about 1/16" too tall. As a result the window has a slight bow to it. It is acceptable, but my tape measure was more accurate. Also, there should be D rings in each of the 4 corners. Per your video you push the window into the frame. I have blinds mounted at the top so the window needs to be inserted from behind the mounting brackets and pull forward. The company was kind enough to send me extra D rings and instructions. Thank you.”

“The seal is better than we thought. But design wise, 1 thing that not happy is the pull tab on the white trim is chrome/silver not white. I say that because on the black trim, the pull tab is black. On the white trim that pull tab stands out too much.”

“I started out by only buying Indow windows for two windows. I am so satisfied with my first two that I plan on outfitting the entire house! They make a huge difference keeping out the cold! And they look great too.”

“For the first two weeks I absolutely hated it. Was regretting my purchase. Then I saw a few more videos online and I noticed how the sound-blocking inserts were installed way at the edge of the window sill. Basically, as far away from the window as possible. There was even a test to conduct. See if there was any light coming through the sides. The compression tubing should be in all the way, so as to block the light. I had originally installed my insert at night, which I would not do again. Anyway, with the new method the sound reduction is significant. I really hear only the low motor sounds of trucks and motorcycles from the street. The rest of the noise is due to the walls in the room itself. It is actually quieter when I sit right next to the window. I would recommend.”

“kudos to the ENTIRE crew that worked on my windows!!! packaging was outstanding and fit up was excellent. although i did have difficulty using the laser measuring tool, especially with the diagonals it worked out in the end. i couldn't be more pleased or happy. THANK-YOU to all involved for an outstanding job.”

“The product is great, definitely quieter and less drafty now. However, even after carefully measuring, both inserts are about 1/4 inch too short. Appreciated hiring racially and gender diverse staff in the warehouse. To be honest though, I couldn't recommend the service. It took months to place my order, then one window had a very noticeable flaw. I agreed to return it and pick up the replacement, yet Indow was not willing to take even a little off the cost, even though I'm saving them effort and money at my own inconvenience. I also got a pissy voicemail after not yet responding to an email that had been sent a few hours before. I know it's a pandemic, but still: not impressed.”

“Communication throughout the process was very good, and I appreciated the initial video chat/consultation. The measurement kit was robust and easy to use, and the customer web portal made it simple to input (and double-check!) the measurements. Our insert arrived well packaged, with plenty of supporting videos & documentation for unpacking, installation, and maintenance. The fit, ultimately, is as accurate as I could expect for our application. Time will tell if the insert will hold up in its shower environment--over two weeks of use currently and all is well. Once I cleaned up the insert, it looked attractive for the purpose, and its privacy opacity is just right. I do have to mention that it arrived surprisingly dirty e.g., black smudges and streaks on the gasket and frame, particulates, grit, and grime on the acrylic window portion. There was no protective film to peel off as I'd been led to expect.”

Hi, Brian. Thanks for your review and picture. That Privacy Grade Indow insert looks great! We are so happy to hear you are satisfied with the Indow team and the performance of your insert. We do apologize for the smudges on your inserts upon delivery. The reason this happens is because the tubing is left unwrapped during shipment. We do this intentionally because silicone tends to have an unpleasant smell after it's made, so leaving it unwrapped until it arrives allows more time for the smell to dissipate. “Thank you Tyler and everyone at Indow for improving the quality of our bedroom. We had air leaks around the 1903 set of windows and constant noise intrusion from the street below. The acoustic design has eliminated most noise and the tight fit keeps cold air out. I was surprised how tight the fit would be. At first the seal at the lower right corner puckered and would not close. It took some effort to reseat the Indow for uniform compression all around with no gaps. Thanks to all at Indow!”
