The instructor Lisa did a great job teaching the material, however, time management of the course was poorly done. The test was not administered until just a few minutes until the end of class time. It would have been nice if it was administered earlier. Do not advertise the class as 4 hours if the test is given at the end and may end up taking 4.5 hours, that was very misleading and impacts the rest of our days and busy schedules.

I have had CPR class in the past so this was a refresher for me. If I wasn't already familiar with the process I think this class would have left me with unanswered questions. The order of the training seemed reversed. She started by teaching compressions and then moving on to when to do them. It may be better to start by explaining what CPR is and when it should be done, then moving on to compressions. Sofia is very nice but she may benefit from some sensitivity training. The general statements made about weight, size, and sex, are biased. There was a member of our class constantly singled out for her size during training. Multiple statements about 300 pound people being large and requiring different methods. There is a certain way to deliver information that wouldn't be hurtful. We need to do better as humans

Thankyou for your review. You must have caught our instructor on a bad day and we apologize. We have addressed your concerns about being more sensitive with the instructor.

Your card was issued on 6.16.23 and remains unclaimed on the American Heart website. We have resent the email from AHA to claim your card. Pease check your email for ecards.heart.org not from In-Pulse CPR. If you don’t receive it you can go directly to the AHA website ecards.heart.org/student/myecards

The overall class was pretty decent. Some parts could have used more depth and instruction. The section about choking and the exceptions for someone in a wheelchair or a pregnant woman could have been gone over in more depth. Specifically, techniques for how to use your hands and placement etc. would be helpful. I would also recommend having slides that pair with the handout so people can follow along as the answers are said aloud. I would also look into the handout and the organization of it. It was a bit out of order when it moved from choking to CPR.

Could’ve been times better with better instruction. Especially for first time CPR students

All the material was covered well and we all had a chance to practice and test on the equipment that was provided.

This was a review for most of us. I traveled almost 2 hrs for the class and the instructor actually used up the full 4 hrs for the class so this was 4 hrs in the road and 4 hrs for CPR class. Very frustrated.

Good information. Need more time with hands-on with choking baby or adult. Also more time with CPR on baby or adult, also without using the air-pump for mouth. Test of multiple choice is too much trick questions and too much to choose from. Multiple Choice is a pain.

4-hour class seemed way too long for the class- the instructor was very nice but had to talk about her personal life to extend the class by 4 hours. I have been an RN for 20 years ( BLS q 2 years) and this was the longest one yet. I will not partake in In- Pulse again due to this.

The class was great.

Videos had no captions. Instructor spoke too fast, made it hard for me to watch ASL interpreters and take notes. However, instructor provided additional assistance when I asked for help without questions.

The instructor was knowledgeable but went over the material fast. The workbook only had some facts listed. We were supposed to fill in the blanks, but I missed some of the answers, which effected my test. It would have been better if he had written the answers on a board. I also would have liked to practice helping an adult who was choking. The film about the young mother having a “heart attack” was weird. Her husband should’ve stayed with her. And the children could have helped her call 911.

Your card was issued on 10.11.21 two days after your class and still remains unclaimed by you. A simple phone call back in October could have resolved this issue. We have resent the email wih the link to claim your card or you can go directly to this website ecards.heart.org/student/myecards

Not the best In Pulse CPR course I’ve ever had, most are excellent, I took those in Lancaster & Harrisburg. I will not take this one in York again.

The instructor was great, but In-Pulse needs to do a better job of communicating to her the number of participants! We were in a small room, and MANY of the participants had printed paperwork from your company but were not on her master list. Two people had to come for the hands-on portion of the class and we were very crowded in the room. Not cool during COVID times.

Daphne - We are working on making our classes better. We apologize for the tighter than normal class setting.

The instructor was not very professional in my opinion. She told us the class was supposed to be at least 3 1/2 hours long and told us it wouldn’t take that long but be sure we said it was that long. We had class from 9:10am till 10:30am with a 10 minute break. She gave us the answers to 7 questions on the test. Her evaluation was on the back of the test so there was no anonymity with our name on the other side. She told us to continue abdominal thrusts for choking until the person vomited instead of until the object was expelled. There were 8 people in the class and I felt very rushed through! We each did our hands on tests together so she watched 4 people at the same time. Does BLS not cover drowning and ambu bag testing anymore? We did not go over that. Is opioid associated life threatening emergency covered? She did give us opportunities to ask questions. She was polite and gave us each a disposable respiratory mask. I would not take another course offered with this instructor. I’m a registered nurse and besides having integrity do not want to just pass BLS but also want to feel confident in my skills.

The training itself was good. I wish it would've been communicated that it was a 3 versus 4 hour commitment, as I had to take PTO to attend the class. Also, the location of the training on my certificate is incorrect. I have yet to hear back about getting that fixed. Is this something that you can help me with?

I like the teacher a lot. Great knowledge and personality. East to listen and learn from. But, some exam questions were not covered in the course. It was too difficult !
