“Was desperate for hairy Potter tickets to the studio, got them last minute, great guide good tour of Oxford, very knowledgeable, great experience, make sure we all knew where we going and what we were doing, highly recommend especially for the $$”

“Great tour- we did the Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor day and it is a full day for sure. Great job getting us there and seeing the sights. A lot of ground to cover, quotable quote, "We are here to have a good time but not for a long time". We definitely had a great time. One neat aspect to our tour was the fact that International Friends put a second tour guide on the tour with us and he added an incredible amount of value. Having two qualified tour guides made the trip much more informative and fun.”

“I am torn in writing this review. First of all, the good. We did a Hotel transfer with a private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. The tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel was great. Tour guide very informative, and ultra nice. Now for the bad. We were told to be off the ship by 7:30 as the bus would leave at 8:00 for our tour, so we skipped breakfast. However, no one was there for us, and after a couple of phone calls I was told driver would be there in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, around 8:15, driver finally showed. He then proceed to load my family of 4 plus another family of 4. Once we all were in the van we found out from the other family we were doing completely different tours, so we both proceeded to ask the driver who did not answer us, so the other family called in and got an explanation, that they would be dropped off, and then we would proceed to our tour. Fine, but lack of communication from the driver left us with feeling worried. We then did our tour, in which the guide asked us at the end if we wanted to take more pictures, that the driver would be back in 15 mins. Fine, we took a few pictures, headed to the spot to meet the driver. No driver, who still had our luggage with him. Our guide called him again, a couple of times, no answer. She was kind enough to talk to us and wait with us. After about 30 mins, she called again. He informed her he was 5 mins away. She stayed with us, and made small talk. 15 mins later, still no driver. If he did not have our luggage, I would have gotten a taxi and just left. He finally showed after about another 10 mins. If it was just the tour, I would highly recommend. However, due to the driver refusing to answer questions, being late to the port, late to the guide, and just leaving us with a feeling of dread for our first day in Rome, not including losing a couple hours of the day, I would not recommend to use this company for transfers in Rome.”

Good afternoon, I was so sorry to read your comments regarding your Rome transfers with us, although I was glad to hear you enjoyed the touring part of the trip and have passed your comments on to the guide. Firstly, I must start by offering my sincerest apologies for how your day trip was handled by our supplier in Rome. I have spoken with our supplier, to try and get to the bottom of how and why your transfer was handled in this way and I have managed to get the following information; On this date, our supplier in Rome merged two trips without informing us of this - the other couple were coming from another ship, which docked earlier than your ship did. However, when the driver got to the ship, the other couple had failed to disembark due to operational issues with the ship, of which was no fault of their own. This is turn made him late to collect you. The family that you boarded the vehicle with, were indeed doing a direct transfer - they were to be dropped off at their hotel, while you enjoyed the guided tour. The driver was then to return to your meeting point and collect you. I am very sorry that this was not communicated to you in a proper manner, this has been raised with our supplier and the driver spoken to about this. It is for this same reason that there was a delay in coming to collect you after the tour. Your tour did finish slightly earlier than planned and the driver was not yet back in the area, and then got caught in some very bad traffic hence the bad delay. I can only apologise for how these issues were handled with regards to your tour, and for the lack of communication from the driver. Please be assured that this is, in no way, how we would expect an International Friends tour to run, in any part of the world, and the supplier we use in Rome has been informed that this treatment of our customers is simply not good enough. I hope that this response and the email we have sent to you directly is satisfactory for you - again, I cannot apologise enough for these issues. I do hope that you would consider using International Friends again in the future. Kind regards, International Friends

“We had a wonderful time going to Canterbury, Dover, and especially Leeds Castle. Ox was a splendid host, knowledgeable and charming. The coach was comfortable, especially on the unusually hot summer day. We will happily engage International Friends again when we’re in England.”

“The tour was good. Saw lots of Paris in such a short time. I wish there would be more of a bus/coach tour especially on the second day. If we would have a bus to take us to Versailles would be fantastic. We were so tired we all wanted to pay that extra expense so we could rest our soar feet from Notre Dame to Versailles and back to the hotel. The same could be said about day 3 if there was a more stringent schedule, but it was almost a free day on Sunday.”

“Hi IF, we disembarked the Royal Princess at Southampton last Monday (18th of June) and our party of four joined a tour with you taking in Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge and Windsor castle before boarding our flight to Singapore at LHR. The bus arrived on time and your tour director made us feel very welcome and assisted with suitcases, seating etc The vehicle was modern, clean and comfortable especially for two of us who are over 70 years of age and in excess of 6'3" tall. Your tour director (Michael?) was very knowledgeable and informative and escorted us through the itinerary making recommendations on everything from places to eat, historic walks etc without appearing to be manipulative or condescending and when it was time to meet he was always early and waiting for us as arranged. We will certainly recommend your tours here in Australia and being ex-servicemen ourselves we will happily advise our RSL clubs of the good service offered by your company.”

“Collected outside customs by our guide who escorted us to our coach, saw us to our seats and introduced us to our driver. This same treatment was supplied to all persons on our tour/transfer to Heathrow. An informative pleasant trip even though this was about our eighth trip to the united kingdom. Would highly recommend this way of transfer from cruise terminal to airport.”

“Bath and historic town are very good and lunch is good too. Tour guide and driver were not so nice. They should drop us in St. Pancras station to Gatwick airport, but they said they need extra hour to get there because of traffic and asked us to get off in Victoria. I requested to go to Blackfriar for cheap train tickets, but was also denied by them. Finally they dropped us in busy Victoria station and I paid train tickets to airport in double price. Traffic was bad when we approached London late Friday afternoon, but quite normal inside city. Meanwhile our tour has only three couples.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was disappointed to read your comments about our guide and driver. I have spoken to both of them in turn and have discovered the following; You informed the driver & guide that you intended to go to Gatwick. The traffic was very heavy on this date, and when you spoke to our driver & guide, they informed you that getting to St Pancras was going to take at minimum, another hour due to the traffic. This is why they suggested that it may be quicker for you to be dropped off at Victoria. They were concerned that the heavy traffic may have caused you a delay in getting to the airport. Upon hearing that it would take a further hour to get to St Pancras, you too agreed that it was easier and more convenient for you to get out at Victoria, and to get on the Gatwick Express, instead of travelling in the vehicle for another hour. The guide offered to come in with you help you purchase your tickets, as he did note that you were very concerned about purchasing them. You declined to accept his help. I am very sorry that you feel the driver & guide were not helpful - it is unfortunate that you feel this way, when their main concern was ensuring you made it to the airport in good time. “Our tour guide was very knowledgable about seemingly every conceivable historic fact related to our route, Bath, etc. The tour included a couple additional stops and sight-seeing from the van that we hadn't anticipated from the description. The driver also went out of his way to drop us at our hotel which was not on the drop-off list althugh it was close to one. A very enjoyable way to get from the cruise port to London.”

“Our guide Paul (Paulos) was excellent. He spent a lot of time explaining things we were going to see before seeing them(like the Sistine chapel) which made the experience more informative and memorable. The only slight drawback was that our driver didn’t speak English which made it hard to communicate or ask her anything but we figured things out.”
