Dont buy they sell SECONDS, take your money up front and then zero after sales/customer service....... 2 out of the 4 carpets have large faults on them - . even there own carpet specialist said they should never have been fitted as the faults are clearly visible. The fitters damaged the skirting of my newly fitted wardrobe and chipped the paintwork in my hall and bedroom. There are also gripper scratches on the walls. They offered to replace 2 carpets but with 50% being faulty and the damage i asked for a refund. At this point i was told i was after FREE carpets by the manager!!!!!. My husband has been dealing with him for the last 12 months - yes 12 months, promise of call backs and excuses. We paid 2k in total and they finally refunded a pittance of £138. Avoid avoid avoid

Really disappointed with the customer service from Jim's and would strongly recommend finding a carpet from elsewhere. Some confusion in what was included in fitting cost and when we tried to discuss this with the store manager they were unpleasant, argumentative and unwilling to compromise. Not what we had hoped for after spending so much money on the carpet. The carpet itself is fine and the fitter (not a Jim's employee) was great.

Avoid this shop if you can. Customer service is unbelievable-as soon you pay them,do not expect any help or kind approach. The fitter will not contact you at all and when he finally appears an hour later rather than apology,do expect rude attitude.

As a family run business since 1961, we have always taken great pride in our customer service and are very sorry to hear that we have not been able to meet your expectations on this occasion. As discussed in-store, on the morning of fitting, appointments are estimates only and are made in good faith, but the exact arrival and duration times cannot be guaranteed due to the nature and unpredictability of the work involved. Due to the current situation, we are unable to give customers exact times in store, however, fitters do give the customer a call on completing their previous job, or before setting off from our warehouse. We are a little upset and disheartened that you feel there was no kind approach, as when you visited the store the morning of fitting, we gave multiple options to the installation that was due to take place later that same day. Settling on the fitter simply delivering the goods to your property. The professional installer in question is one of the most professional and polite people this company has had the pleasure of dealing with, and we have had nothing but compliments on his customer manner. Jims carpets sold us our LVT floor. What we didn't realise is that they use contractors to fit who we paid in good faith. The flooring hadn't been fitted properly, without screed underneath to level it and it was bumpy and had huge gaps. Contacting the store over the last 18 months has proved difficult and nothing has ever been resolved. Jims carpets say it is the contractors responsibility although this was not made clear to us on purchase. We believed the store was responsible for the work. Customer service was awful from the Manager who argued with us and would not accept they had to take any ownership of the problem. I would never use them again.

Do not buy a carpet from this company. I spent over £700 on 2 stair carpets. The fitting was horrendous, it was visibly frayed at the edge, constantly kept coming loose on the stairs and looked a mess. Their carpet fitter came out 4 times to try to correct it, and when it started to come loose once again, I insisted they sent out a different fitter. He was appalled and said that the whole carpet needed replacing, as it had been fitted so badly, it couldn't be re-fitted. When they replaced the carpet, they found that the carpet was also faulty, the backing turned to dust (in the words of the fitter), which was one of the reasons it kept coming loose. In fitting the new carpet, the new paintwork inevitably got quite badly scratched (despite the carpet fitter taking care), as the grippers and underlay also had to be replaced. When I spoke to Jim's Carpets about this, they told me that they had replaced the carpet "as a gesture of goodwill" and it was just tough that the paintwork had been scratched - that was for me to sort out! Terrible customer service, had to constantly chase them at each stage. Coudln't be worse to be honest.

Broken flooring delivered, unable to get a refund, as they said it wasn't damaged by them or the delivery company. Lesson learnt never order goods off line. Would not recommend,I'm still waiting for email response from them . Disgraceful customer services.
