Initially, I was quite pleased with Sequence/WWC. I started back in August 2023 and to date have lost 70 lbs on a GLP1 medication that my insurance covered. I signed up for an annual membership in January 2024 to save a little bit on the monthly fees (annual cost $899). The issues started when my insurance began to charge much more for a monthly prescription versus a 3-month fill since I'd reached a steady, therapeutic dose. Sequence/WWC care team members deny a 3-month fill is allowed, while the admin staff on the Sequence/WWC facebook group for members state that it IS allowed. I've wasted weeks going around and around with them. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Poor customer service.

Great at first but they hold you back by not prescribing higher dosages when needed. I was losing 2lbs per week and it slowed to 1lb. The dr said I was losing too fast and wouldn’t prescribe the higher dose. Completely derailed my progress. Losing 1lb a week is what I can do without meds. You’re at their mercy on what you get. For the cost, it isn’t worth the hassle.

The original process was easy and no issues getting the meds. The $84 a month is steep with the $60 copay but compared to other places not bad. At the time I signed up (early Jan) I researched online and on this website and found no shortages of Zepbound, which I requested and was approved for. No problems getting it. I requested a refill week ago as instructed and apparently there’s no Zepbound anywhere on Long Island. This is after having zero issue getting it. I was told to ask CC to have them call pharmacies for me and asked and they said they’d get back to me. Well, I’ve personally had to call 10+ myself and they all say they have none and backorder is probably a month. No communication from the NP who told me to tell her if the pharmacy didn’t have it. My CC has been helpful and maybe just. It hearing back bc it’s the weekend. But for $84/month for one or two texts back and forth I’m not thrilled. Why are these companies still advertising when supply is down? And why don’t they have the disclaimer updated that Zepbound is also now in shortage. Not happy.

I find the on line sessions difficult. I prefer in person, but I've stayed with the program, so something must be motivating me. I've lost 27 lbs since September. This program is geared more toward the younger client

I'm trying to understand why it takes so long for the provider to respond or read results. I understand the time frame for a PA with INS but the contact prior is horrible. Makes me think that maybe they are just trying to drag you along to continue to obtain the monthly fee.

I was so excited to join Sequence and get started on this weight loss journey. It has been exceedingly slow getting medication authorization and prescriptions sent to pharmacy. I even called my insurance provider myself and was told the medication is covered, however, sequence told me it is not, and I would have to change meds. I still haven’t received the new prescription/sent to pharmacy. Instead I got a message from Sequence to call around to pharmacies near to me to see if anyone has the med available. All I seem to do is wait on them to finally reply. For $99 a month, it seems I’m doing most of the work. Probably not going to stay with Sequence.

You will not hear from a clinician 1-2 days in the chat. You will only receive messages from a “care coordinator” stating they flagged the clinician. Multiple times my account will say prescription sent to pharmacy and it was never sent. If you try to get the problem rectified then prepare to wait for 7-10 business days. Having a coordinator respond is like satisfying some kind of internal response program but not resolving your issues.
