“I’ve been a longtime Jones customer and this is my second Jones stand bag, which is why this experience has been disappointing. The Heritage bag is beautiful, made with premium materials, and has the classic look that originally drew me to the brand.
Unfortunately, the stand mechanism on my bag has been unreliable from the beginning. Jones acknowledged they’ve seen similar issues with some Heritage bags and sent me a retrofit attachment to improve the stand. I appreciate their customer service and willingness to help, but after using the fix for several weeks, the bag is still noticeably flimsy. The issue isn’t just the stand legs. The overall structure of the bag feels less rigid and stable than my previous Jones bags, even when it’s empty.
I genuinely appreciate the support from the Jones team, but for a bag that costs over $400, I expected much better performance and durability. I’m hopeful they’ll continue improving the Heritage line because I really want to keep supporting the brand.”
“I really do love the products. However and maybe it’s my own fault for assuming but I bought a mystery item the duffel bag and I got two. I was given the same item twice kinda bummed at. Otherwise the time to delivery was good and the bag itself is nice.”
“Hello,
Description:
I was excited to receive my new Jones bag on 6/3/26. I transferred my clubs to it and soon thereafter discovered something I've never had with any golf bag I've ever owned. I was sitting on the couch and heard a crash. I looked over and the bag was on the floor. The legs had splayed out (see photo). I thought perhaps something was loose and noticed the leg assembly mechanism was not that sturdy. I put the legs back into position, and a few hours later the identical crash happened a second time. I transferred my clubs back into my Sun Mountain Bag. It appears the leg assembly on my Jones bag is not as sturdy as would be expected. What can be done to correct this issue?
I received a response from Jesse about the above email. Jesse asked for pictures which is subsequently sent. However, I have not received further follow up as of today.
I hope to hear from you very soon. I have not used the bag yet so please let me know where things stand. I hope it does not come to it but please provide return instructions.
Thank you,
/paul”
“I recently purchased a trouper golf bag. Overall I like the bag but it has some shortfalls which I feel like can and should be improved upon. My biggest issue with the bag is that the cooler pocket is not as water tight and functional as it should be. Putting several drinks in the cooler pocket allowed the moisture of the cans to seep through the pocket and stain the outside fabric of the bag. I feel as if the cooler pocket should be better stitched to not allow moisture to get into the adjacent pockets. This is a big bummer and now my bag is stained and items in the adjoining pockets were damaged.
Otherwise, the bag itself functions as it should and I like the storage pocket layout, weight to carry and functionality of the stand mechanism as it’s easy to deploy and pick back up. The bag is good but with a few more quality checks, could be better.”
“I'm disappointed with the functionality of the umbrella holder on the Utility X. There is no top strap to hold the umbrella close to the bag. When you carry the bag with an umbrella it hangs way down away from the bag. Almost as if it will fall out. How did this design make it to production?”
“good product. fast shipping.
I really like the design, and the weight of thr bag.
but the vinyl was open, the bag was little dusty, the bottom of the bag had some scratches. wonder if it was displayed in their store or somewhere. Paid 150 for shipping to Japan, and little disappointed after seeing the condition.
but again i love the product, design, weight. everything else is perfect.”
“The Jonas bag itself is nice, but the head cover feels too cheap. I think it should be made with the same material as the bag for better consistency. I’m saying this for future improvement, so I hope you take it into consideration.”
“Decent bag. Cooler (while a great feature) is in an awkward place. It’s precisely where I would keep my balls and tees. Material of the bag is a bit rough, but looks clean. I do love where the putter holder is, that is a huge positive. All in all, I wouldn’t buy this particular Jones bag again, but would do more research into the location of the pockets on other models.”
“Materials are great, the embroidery is fantastic but the overall item is just too big to hang from the side of your bag when walking. The bag does need a zipper instead of a draw string, this would allow it to lay more flat. I have turned it into a tee bag for now.”
“I have no set views on the Jones Sports Co as I've bought one product--a lightweight carry bag that seems well made and was delivered on time. My gripe the product is the pockets are rather shallow owing to a large space devoted to supposedly carrying cold beverages. For me, not a good use of space. I walk with a pull cart and carry my beverage there. I would not buy this product again because of the poor use of storage space and would not recommend it unless you are strictly a walker and thus can appreciate the light weight.”
“Bought a Sunday bag a year or so ago and loved it. Easy to carry, comfortable with three slots for clubs. Perfect for what it is. Play on dewy morns a lot so ordered one last month with a stand. Well, you couldn’t leave well enough alone. Bag is uncomfortable to carry, strap is hard, when you pick it up your grabbing the leads to the strap most of the time, has twice as many club slots as needed, and the water bottle holder is where the ball pocket should be. Still figuring out where to put balls and tees. Going back to my first one next week.”
“I purchased the Trouper stand bag through the blind draw. I'd give the product design an 8.5 out of 10, but the quality and materials a 6 out of 10. I don't know if the blind draw Trouper bag is different than the non sale item but the material and quality feels cheap. They highlight on the bags stickers that it's recycled plastic, not sure why that's a selling point but it definitely feels like it's made from recycles plastic bottles. The carry straps feel cheap, the zippers, and the stand itself doesn't feel sturdy and they are skinny don't know how long it will last.”
Thomas,
Sorry to hear about the disappointment with the bag.
Please reach out to our customer support team, and we would be happy to assist you the best we can!
“It looks great and is light. Doesn’t have enough pocket space I think but maybe I need to carry less stuff. The shoulder straps don’t have enough slack. I’m still trying to figure that out.
Also I paid for faster shipping and it didn’t show up in time for my trip. I’d like a credit for the advanced shipping cost.”
