“Nothing wrong with the item, but it didn't fit what I was looking for. justoffbase web site has been closed for temporary maintenance for three weeks!! Neither of the phones are answered. I suppose I own what I bought. Would never ever think of dealing with the company again.”

“After confirming my order,a couple of days later,they cancelled it just saying-due to a change in circumstances and that I would not be charged!!!! GREAT back to square one...”

“I placed my order 10 days ago and was informed it would arrive within 4-6 days. Since then I've had no contact from justoffbase and the item still hasn't arrived. There's no tracking information in the order confirmation, and they haven't sent any updates to tell me if the item has been dispatched, or if they're out of stock and it's been delayed... Wish I'd bought from UKSpares - they're a bit more expensive but at least the item turns up!”

We could not process the order due to payment issues, despite us emailing to say we needed a contact 'phone number, we received no reply. In order for us to be able to give an efficient service we do need contact from our customers.

“I am appalled, placed and order in good time for my husbands birthday, recieved an order confirmation and money was taken - then nothing... Until I sent two email (no reply) and had to call Justoffbase. They had "forgotten" to deal with my order. I requested an immediate refund with an email confirmation which arrived later the same day - we will never deal with this company again.”

We are very sorry to hear about your experience, unfortunately the item you ordered as out of stock with our supplier at the time and we didn't get to hear about it until you contacted us. Very occasionally we do have a mistake, and on this occasion our performance was not good enough. We hope you can see from our other reviews, this is quite unusual. Apologies again.

“They did not have the item advertised in stock as it was discontinued. i expect they shroud only advertise what they have in stock or know they can get. This wasted my time.”

“Purchased lawnmower from this company's "Guaranteed in stock Next Day Delivery" Did it arrive? No. Did the next attempt arrive? No. Pure headline grabbing tactics when they knew they had no definite items to despatch. Also had to chase the refunds. Potential buyers - take your business elsewhere.”

“WARNING THIS COMPANY DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS REGISTERED OVERSEAS. Warning - this company accepted my order via their website ,including the overseas billing address, and then cancelled the order with no explanation. Had to call to find out what happened. Claims to have sent e-mail and claims to have tried to contact me but no e-mail received and no missed calls. Called to find out why and experienced what I would describe as extremely poor level of Customer service and no interest whatever in improving their process.”

You are correct in that we do not accept cards registered outside of the UK. It is a common misconception that when you clear the checkout, in any store, you have 'Paid' but that is simply not the case. Many fraudulent orders are placed with cards where the delivery address is not the registered card address. In these cases, and the many frauds we have averted, that is the single hallmark. The single biggest issue retailers such as ourselves suffer, is not being able to distinguish fraud orders, from the genuine ones. The other big misconception with this, is that in the case where the genuine cardholder denies the transaction, the funds are simply withdrawn by the issuing bank, leaving the retailer with a total loss. Only consumers have this fraud protection, which is not provided by the banks but only by the banks taking payments back from retailers. We are sorry for your trouble. Justoffbase
