“I took a pair of my wife's beloved and well used tall timberland boots to K.P.A shoe repairs (on 7/12/25), for a zip repair (to replace a broken tag on the zip) and to resole heel and sole with specifically Vibram soles. The lady who runs/owns the shop was very attentive and said she could just add a tag to the zip (£18) so wouldn't have to replace the whole zips (which was great), but they did not have any Vibram soles in stock but said that they could order them in, but would not be ready until after Christmas or I could have a cheaper sole and heel set now and would be ready sooner. I said that I specifically wanted the Vibram sole and heel set as that is what Timberland recommends. I was charged £18 for the new tag on one of the zips, and £57 for the Vibram sole and heel replacements and told they would be ready after Christmas. I went in today (3/1/26) to collect them, however the owner was very apologetic and said that the vibram soles that came in were a bit thin, and so some alternative thicker Italian soles/heel were put on instead. I said that I was upset because I had specifically asked (and paid) for Vibram, and if there was a problem why didn't she call me first before putting on a different set. She said it wasn't her fault as the person she sent them to get resoled just did it without asking! I said that at no point did she tell me that the repair was being sent away and indeed I was led to believe that they were doing the repair because she had said that they didn't have the vibram soles in stock and offered me a cheaper pair that they did have in stock. She said that they don't do resoling work here anymore since her brother in law had passed away recently and so are sent elsewhere. I said I would have taken them direct to a shoe repairer myself if I had known! She kept saying that it wasn't her fault but I said that it was her that I paid, and so it is her responsibility, and I should have been informed before any work was undertaken that was different to what I had asked for and paid for! As there was nothing I could do about it, she gave me £10 refund which was apparently the cost difference between the non vibram soles and the set they had their repairer put on. I am so upset, all she had needed to do was call me first as she had them for 4 weeks! Just beware that if you are wanting any specific resoling works to shoes doing here, that they do not do those repairs themselves, they send them away and take absolutely no responsibility for any errors even though they have been paid! I am sure however that if you require any other sort of repair, or you are not bothered about what or where your shoe soles/repairs are done then you would be ok with this shop.”

“I stepped into this shop and was warmly greeted by the lovely lady with a welcoming smile. I explained that I was visiting from the US and needed the broken handle of my designer handbag repaired on the same day. Without any hesitation, she agreed and immediately knew what needed to done. When I returned, the repair was complete and it was perfect! The price for this repair was very reasonable. I am so pleased with their service and would highly recommend this local cobbler shop in Northwood.”

“There are very few shoe repair businesses that do quality leather and shoe repairs outside of the normal re-healing. This business is one of those and well worth travelling to. They did a great job on repairing the stitching on my leather boots and fixed a split cosmetic zip on the back of a pair of Chelsea boots. Thank you so much!!!”

“Amazing service, took some brand new walking boots in that our puppy had eaten, both boots were chewed, right through the leather and liner and the soles, they were completely unwearable, but just been to collect the boots and they are as good as new, I am thrilled and amazed at the wonderful workmanship.”

“I have a Radley bag which needed new straps. (I had contacted Radley who do not do repairs although they suggested somebody who did do repairs for them.) The existing ones due to old age had disintegrated. I loved my bag and found it very useful. KPA Shoe Repairs have made an excellent job of replacing the straps with leather and I am very pleased with it. I have used it already. Should the need arise, I will certainly use them again in the future. Thank you.”

“Needed the wheels on my leather suit carrier and a couple zips to be repaired. Couldn't find anywhere to get it fixed. Even the bags' manufacturer doesn't do repairs anymore! But the bag has been all around the world with me for many years and I didn't want to part with it. I spoke to Ajit, described the problems and was invited to drop the bag off. In days I was quoted a very reasonable price for the repairs and a couple days after that I picked the bag up, good as new. The fast turnaround was quite surprising, considering how busy the shop is. I am so thoroughly impressed by their "old school" notion of pride in the work they do, the ingenuity of repairing my carrier despite some parts being unavailable and the marvelously pleasant yet professional service I was afforded. Most of all, I was gratified by Ajit's belief that in this throwaway society which we now live, it's still worth repairing the things that we value; they're unbelievably good at it there and 5 stars just aren't enough. I recommend KPA very highly and will be returning to get some shoes done!”
